《Sage Fall》Notes from the Author

Well...I didn't think I'd have to do this, at least not this early. But I suppose I knew it would happen sooner or later. I'm going to be taking a hiatus from writing.
Chapter Thirty Three was the last chapter that I had written for my backlog, there's very little in Chapter Thirty Four making it incomplete so I won't bother uploading that one until it's done.
Now I have no idea how long this hiatus will last so I can't say "see you in XX days!!" or anything of the sort.
The reason this has come about is due to a number of reasons unfortunately. Disinterest, lack of motivation and increased depression have taken their toll on my mood and state of mind and I just cannot get into any mood to write anything. I've mentioned it once before, but I'm positive that I am much older than most likely a great majority of users on RRL, so the depression really effs with things.
BUT! I still have ideas and know where I would like to go with the story, so I'm not dropping it. I'm just taking an undetermined length of time break.
I hate to have to do this but I just can't force myself to write the chapters anymore since it just puts me in even a more foul mood and resent writing even more. I'm tremendously grateful for the reception that the story has gotten, since it's my very first fiction that I've put more than a few days of work into. Although i'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed at the stagnation in it's increase in popularity...but that's for another discussion.
If/when I come back, I will also no longer be doing releases every 2 days. It was a pretty hectic release schedule and one that most likely contributed to the rapid lack of motivation and disinterest in continuing. I'll most likely to a weekly release schedule on a set day. I know there aren't that many chapters out compared to others, but hey, after almost 180,000 words...it's still a lot.

Now, to all the readers, followers and people who were gracious enough to favorite the story.
THANK YOU!!
If not for the comments, thank yous and positive feedback I've continued to get throughout the time I've been working on this story, it would NOT have gotten this far. I'm still very thin skinned when it comes to overly specific critiquing and comments regarding the work. But it's all the positive comments and words that I was able to take it as far as 30+ chapters. It's because of you guys (and gals if any) that I hate to have to do this. But rest assured! The story is not dead, I'll pick it back up eventually and you'll be able to learn what happens to Sarya, Amrin, Ely, Meladris and Belgard. And I have plans to introduce Gindel as well in later chapters (spoilers, he's pretty much a ninja). So again, it is with a heavy heart and tremendous guilt that I have to do this. But I'll be back, and hopefully things will be better than ever!...but don't hold your breath on the better than ever part...

The Lady's Handbook of Intrigue and Murder (High Fantasy Politics)
Summary:The daughter of a dying house is summoned to the Imperial City to meet and perhaps marry a handsome prince. It sounds like a fairy tale. Except Mydea doesn’t have the advantage of a half-forgotten childhood encounter, supreme magic to match the highest echelons of society, or even the privilege of an ally. In order to survive and make a name for herself, she must beat the Imperial Court at its own game. At least no one's tried to kill her—yet. Notes: Basically, if you liked the magic of Harry Potter and the politics of Game of Thrones, you'll probably like this. While the first book focuses on the female lead, and the interplay of competing regional and imperial interests, subsequent books will also cover warfare and how I imagine that differs wildly from historical norms with the introductions of a magical aristocracy. Good Guy Necromancer
Necromancers are murderous, repulsive, utterly ungodly creatures. And then there's Jerry. Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Jerry tries to settle down, wanting nothing but a peaceful life for him and his undead—and, when that doesn't quite work out, he sets out to adventure. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk. To save a world that shuns him, Jerry must stand against a large organization of arrogant, mighty wizards. He strives to become stronger while maintaining his kindness, only to realize that, maybe, gentle hearts make the greatest necromancers. This is the story of a delightful man in a harsh world—full of warmth, action, and wise-cracking bone puns. Chapters are usually 2-3k words, and updates are 3/week: Mon, Wed, Fri. If you're looking for another fun, action-packed adventure, check out Cultivator vs. System by yours truly, available on Kindle, KU, and Audible. But read Good Guy Necromancer first.
