Teacher: alright first off I’m Leon Scales, just a word of warning anyone that makes fun of my name is going to be in a world of pain.

Everyone, including the lizards nodded.

Leon: ok, today’s lesson is only for the kids, lizards you can leave go do whatever, for the whole week as well, now leave.

At his words he made sure to add some killing intent behind it to scare off the lizards that ran as quick as there short legs took them. I quickly took off with Relon behind me

Kira: let’s get out of here this guy is dangerous

Relon: don’t have to tell me

We flew out the window, last thing we saw were the gliders jumping on the window and following us.

When I looked back they were there trying to fly, the three were getting the hang of it as they were gaining altitude and speed but they flew while swinging there front legs as if it was part of the wings to get more power in it.

'They will definitely evolve differently' and just as I thought that all three began glowing, as they flew there wings and front leg joined into a single limb and it wings grew longer the neck stretched a bit, becoming dragon like.

As soon as they realized the change they began flapping a bit faster, to my surprise they were very fast.

'Wonder if this is also a dragon hatchling, no this looks more like a wyvern'

'Damn I’m not going to let them out pace me' I thought and looked at Relon who nodded and smiled at the challenge.

We quickly increased out speed and started changing things in our flying form to increase speed, polishing our form. The result, we quickly caught up to their speed, which surprised them.

After a bit of flying we all started to breathe more intensely it was when I saw the river next to the school.

Kira: let’s go

I said and pointed at the river, everyone welcomed he idea and flew over.

As we approached the water’s edge I was cautious of anything in and around the water, making a few circles to examine the area before landing drinking my fill.

Relon: ah it’s so good finally be away from that girl

Kira: what happen

Relon: after she left running yesterday she made me eat other crystals, it hurt and I didn’t learn any other ability, though I did raise my endurance I still hate it.

I look with a bit of pity since it was because of me.

As I looked around I saw something below the surface when I looked I saw a few fish and suddenly felt the urge to try catching. I walk a few meters away then enter the water, as I look around I find many fish in the river, when I get close they swim away at a speed I couldn’t reach thanks to the water

'Damn there too fast and I don’t think I can catch then swooping in from the sky' I gave up on catching the fish and started learning how to swim and started using my wings underwater.

To summarize I started swimming very fast and with a few flaps of my wing I could catch them before they noticed because I was always in stealth mode while underwater.

I also learned a few new skills and traits.

After seeing my success in catching food the others followed me, Relon copied me, but the wyverns had to learn their own method since they had a different body structure.

After about an hour we had a pile of about thirty various fish on the lake side.

Wyvern 1: so are do we eat this way

Kira: no, help me gather some wood

Wyvern 2: Ryuu let’s go so we can finish this quickly I’m hungry.

Ryuu: alright, Levi, Vent, we will be back in a bit.

As they flew off I looked around digging a bit

Relon: what are you doing

Kira: looking for crystals, I heard they are commonly found near rocky river banks like this.

After a bit I finally found them at the edge of the water, as well as below the mud underwater, also got a skills, [prospector]

After the wyvern returned I had collected quite of few varied crystals, besides fire, I found water and wind crystals.

After stacking the stick I breathe deeply and when I breathe out, but unlike my first attempts which resulted in a fire ball a true fire breath came from my mouth, and lit the stack.

Then we put the fish next to the fire for a bit then started chowing down.

Ryuu: this is nice; I didn’t think we could do so many things with our bodies being made for flying.

Relon: Dragons are kings of the beasts no matter which terrains, it just depends on each person’s own dedication when they are growing to learn and build their strength.

Levi: well even if we knew that we have Kira to thank because he thought up many things for us.

I look up to see that the sun was nearing its peak which meant that it was almost noon

Kira: we should head back soon; I don’t know how long those classes are but don’t want to anger the teacher.

Everyone nodded and finished of the fish before taking off.

In the class everyone was startled by how the lizards were running as fast as possible like they were being chased.

Melody stayed there looking at Kira and Relon as they let out a few growls before leaving through the window followed by the other gliders

Melody: how lucky, they get to relax but we are stuck here.

Alice: relax, ya right, I’m curtain that just from Mr. Scales glare they knew that if they didn’t grow very fast today, they would learn what hell on earth was like.

As she said that melody finally noticed how many were jumping as they left, 'so they those jumping are trying to get wings, I guess it helps a lot having them.

Leon: ok kids come up here and get these book, the first one details methods in raising dragons of all types, the second book is a magic book that will teach both you and your partner magic, depending the magic learned it could affect his evolution path.

After that everyone went and picked one of each and returned to their seats.

Leon: Now then let’s get on with class.

The class quickly turned practical as it was magic class, they went over all the magic systems which were fire, water, wind, earth, light and dark, everyone was told to perform the most basic skill of each and determine their strengths and weakness.

On Melody's turn, she had an easy time with the four basics but not light or dark.

Alice was her opposite being good in light and dark but not the others.

After that, class continued until about noon when five dragons came through the window and looked at the teachers.

Leon: oh there back, oh and it seems those gliders evolved as well, since I didn’t give you a specific time to return you can go back to your partner and listen in on the remainder of class.

With his permission Kira, Relon, and the three wyverns landed next to their partners.

Melody rubbed my head after I landed, it was nice, it was like she knew just were to scratch.

Melody: did you go to the river you smell like fish, we need to clean you later

I just nod then turn my attention to the book in front of her, it was about the water magic, the most basic skill, as I read the page I started to move the magic in my body and like my fire breath I let it out from my mouth, but what came out was a ball of water which traveled very fast until it hit the wall.

"Acquired Skill [Water ball]"

Everyone that saw this was amazed ever the teacher looked at it

Leon: girl what did he just do

Melody: um I don’t know sir, he was just looking at my magic book then I felt him quickly gathering magic and it shot out,

Leon: so he learned magic, girl turn to the wind ball skill as well, have him read it and see if he can do it.

At his order she turned the page until it displayed a page showing wind magic, she looked worried at me

Melody: um please read it

I start reading and after I finish I reread after the second time I read, I did the same by gathering magic and shot the wind ball which, I might add, was much more devastating to the point where the teacher had to deflect it.

Leon: this guy is getting my blood boiling, it’s been so long since I’ve seen someone with this much potential.

After shooting the wing ball I looked at the magic book and felt I could use it differently, I jumped then began flying while gathering mana in my wings.

Leon: shit what does he think he’s doing

As I stabilized myself in the air my wings started shining then I did a few flaps of my wing before pulling then all the way back and giving one strong flap with the wind magic behind it, this wind blew out of my wings like a tornado but it vanished just as it reached the pedestal were Leon was, in his hand a long sword and his face grinning.

Leon: he he this is to good, on his first day to have so much affinity to magic, it’s like I’m standing in front of one of those weirdo’s that have been appearing and running around like this world was a game, those guys have great affinity for many arts as well.

Alice: Mr. Scales are talking about those guys that the gods call their heroes, people born in another world and sent to this one?

Leon: those exactly, so many of them are so annoying, so are you one of them, hatchling.

I stare ate him; I could feel everyone’s eyes on me as well. The I heard Kaisers voice

Kaiser: its ok the kingdom you are in is part of a religion that focuses on me, though if you tell them you and your partner may become outcast.

At his words I look at Melody then back

Leon: are you or not

I nod and confirm I see him grip his sword ready to strike.

Leon: which god brought you here?

He was releasing so much killing intent towards me I felt I was drowning, it paralyzed me to the point that I fell to the ground

???: Mr. Scales, if you let out so much killing intent you will paralyzed him in fear have some self-control.

The voice I knew I had heard it when I come to this world, at her order Leon subdued his killing intent enough for me to look up, as I though Angela stood there.

Leon: High Priestess Angela what an honor, what brings you here?

Angela: I have come on a mission from God Kaiser, he wishes for me to watch over this year’s group as well as be the magic teacher for the lizard and dragon kin, I have spoken with the church as well as the Academy chairmen, starting tomorrow I start with my classes.

Leon was speechless at the news, when she looked at me she walked over and crouched.

Angela: good afternoon Mar... Kira, I see you are making great progress to your dream of becoming an ancient dragon

Her voice ran through the class as clear as water flowing down a river, it left everyone speechless. Leon was the one to break the silenced.

Leon: wait you know him, so he is god Kaiser's hero' he said turning pale as he remembered what he was about to do

Kira: can you tell him to stop worrying, also tell him and everyone to treat me how they were before, I don’t want to be some idol for worship and I will leave if it turns into that.

After Angela passed my message everyone gained the color in their face again especially Leon.

Angela: anyway I should be going I need to get ready for my classes tomorrow, good day.

Leon: um ok I’ll see you sometime to talk students todays class is dismissed.

He walked over to his desk and sat down and drank the water on it.

'How much influence and power does that girl have to shake a man like him, though I can see now I might be in a very dangerous place, if he is so strong I can’t even imagine just how strong she is' as I fear for my life Melody comes and picks me up.

Melody: let’s go clean you up, besides the fish smell now you’re covered in dust from that fall.

Her smile felt brighter than it was before and thinking of that dead look she had on the first day was even hard to believe.

After the class Melody took me to the bath house, inside as a huge pool, with steam coming out.

'Wow is this made for dragons or humans'

Melody: are you ok, this must be your first warm water bath right.

When I looked back I froze, I normally wouldn’t with how she normally dresses, which hides her curves but now I was stunned, in front of me a girl with impressive curves stood rapped in her towel, and he hair held in one as well.

Melody: um is something wrong, you seem like your spacing out Kira.

When she spoke I realized it was Melody,

'How can she look so different and amazing just by pulling her hair out of the way?'

Melody: what are you looking at, come on let’s get in already.

She walked over and jumped in the pool, then popped up a little further in.

I regained my scenes and carefully enter the warm water; I went swimming a bit until I heard Melody call me.

When I got over she had a bottle in her hand, most likely shampoo or something. As she passed over me, she didn’t scratch my back and wings only rubbed her hands over them but it was enough to make me feel in heaven.

After another quick dip I flew in the air to force as much water off.

Melody: Kira lets go, we need to get some food we have to hurry to class.

I landed outside and waited until she exited before we went to eat, which was rushed because of the bath, then headed to a track field behind the school, the whole class was there.

Almost all the lizards had changed one way or another, some now stood on two legs instead of four, some grew bigger and looked like they were built to run and swim but of them only me, Relon, Ryuu, Levi and Vent were flyers. Then someone blew a whistle drawing everyone’s attention.

Teacher: alright everyone, from the looks everyone’s partner has already gone through its first evolution, oh we even have a squad of flyers this year interesting, ok now this class is mainly for the partners it’s to test your speed in running and for you five your flying speed, now let’s get started.

After she said that, she split us into groups with us five being in a group that will fly instead of run.

It was a quick one lap race but it was about five minutes each because of the size of the field

Kira: hey any of you know wind magic

Ryuu: I do, after I saw you do it I tried as well it was easy.

I looked at the other three but they shook their heads

Kira: ok let me teach you, I thought of a way to make our race really fun but you need wind magic.

For the next two hours while the others raced I taught them how to control wind magic then told them my idea to which they laughed at in anticipation. On our turn we lined up on the starting line, all five were grinning in anticipation and none of us could stay still even as we slowly gather mana in our wings. Then the teacher came up.

Teacher: you’re to fly two times over the track field so we can get a measure of you speed.

We just stood there ready not even blinking

Teacher: ok are you ready' she and lifted her hand up' ready, set' just as she started to say go her arm came down and our wings at the same time.

GO! 'BOOM!!!'
