Benny’s POV

Zen and Leo are now face to face. Leo towers over Zen. That guy must have hit his growth spurt in the 7th grade and grew his beard in the 8th. They both stand on the platform that leads to the arena. This whole arena was designed and built by Principal Stark. He made it to resolve arguments. Back in the day, he had fights with Steve Rodgers all the time. They even had a civil war and they were two grown men fighting. We’re just teenagers, filled with hormones. So of course we’re going fight. Zen and Leo put on battle bracelets and then the A.I. ring master starts the scan.

A.I: Scanning Student Leopold Anderson Clark, Inhuman. Scanning Student Zentora Shade, Martial Artist.

Zen: He used my full name. It sounds so girly.

At the start of the duel, the scanner scans identifies the type of hero you are because there are different types. There are martial artists, mutants, intergalactic beings, experimentals, techs, and mysticals. You can be more than one type. Sei is a martial artist and mystical type like her mom. I am a experimental type. An accident caused my dad’s DNA to change and his genes were passed on to me. I am Experimental Generation 2.

A.I: Select situation.

Leo: 1v1.

A.I: Are weapons allowed in this duel?

Zen: No modern weapons. So, no guns or bombs. Anything else is a fair game.

A.I: Please, select an environment in which to do battle.

Zen and Leo: Random.

A.I: You will be battling in the jungle zone.

Sei: Tch

Sei clicked her tongue. But Decklyn is happy. The jungle zone is Leo’s stomping ground. He has the advantage from the get go. They both get transported to the jungle zone and we see them on the screen.

???: I’d like to place a bet.

Benny: Sure....... Torin.

Torin Odinson, is the strongest kid in our grade and a complete and total asshole. Just because he is the grandson of Thor does not mean he has the same personality as his grandfather. The dude is a cocky playboy. He’s kind of tall with long golden hair in a ponytail. He also has blue eyes. He is always surrounded by girls. I hate this guy.

Torin: Number 4, I would like to place a bet on Number 5.

Benny: I have a name; it’s Benny.

Torin: Sorry Penny. I tend to forget the names of men.

Benny: It is Benny.

Torin does not acknowledge men. He only remembers the names of pretty girls. Hell, he calls the boy members of the top 10 by their numbers. He looks at Sei.

Torin: Hello Seiryu Yang.

Sei: How the hell did you know my full name. I’ve been called Sei since I entered this school in kindergarten.

Torin: I always like to have information on a pretty girl.

Sei looks disgusted. I guess not all girls fall for the pretty boy look. I am starting to like her increasingly.

Torin: Come on; don't be like that. Out of all the girls on my radar, you are in the top three.

Sei: Should I feel honored?

Torin: Let’s make a bet. If Number 5 wins, you go out with me. If.....

Sei: If Zen wins, you stop bothering me.

Torin: Deal.

Torin walks away.

Benny: Are you sure you want to do that?

Sei: Yes, this is a perfect time to finally get rid of him.

Benny: You have that much faith in him?

Sei: Just watch the match.

Benny: Decklyn, put a hundred on Zen. Sei, I’m going trust you.

Now, all eyes are on the match that just started.

Zen’s POV

Zen: I SUMMOND YOU; SLASH AWAY KUROHIME!

I summon my sword. We get teleported into different area. I use Qui to search for my opponent. A good offense is a good defense. I search the jungle and there is still no sign of my opponent. I start to use Sei and scan a thirty-mile radius of my environment. SOMETHING’s COMMING FAST! A huge, lion-man pounces towards me and slashes me with his claws. I barely manage to avoid it. If I had not used Sei, I would have taken on a lot of damage. Leo is now twice his size and his beard has turned into a mane. He is covered in fur and has a tail.

Leo: Good. This will be interesting; you managed to avoid my first attack. Very few people have done that. Let’s see how you like this LION'S ROAR!

A sonic blast comes out of his mouth and comes straight at me. I put my sword in my sheath and get into a stance.

Zen: QUICK DRAW!

I remove my sword from sheath and slash the blast into. The two blast pieces go behind me destroying several trees in their paths. Leo doesn’t hold back and comes charging at me. He starts to use his claws. I try using Kurohime. But, his claws are too fast and my bracelets start blinking. I kick him in the gut to gain some distance. You want a fight like a cat than let's fight like a cat. I put away Kurohime and I use and my Zen Qui to make claws.

Zen: QUI TIGER CLAWS!

Mom always said I needed to create my own style of martial arts. If I ever wanted to surpass her, I can't copy her. I was watching TV and flipping channels when I saw animal planets. There was a tiger mauling some poor herbivore which gave me an idea. I mimicked a tiger’s movements and integrated them into my own style of martial arts.

Leo: You want have a cat fight with me? Don't make me laugh LION CLAWS!

Zen: Will see about that TIGER CLAWS!

We both begin clawing each other and our bracelets are constantly beeping. If this keeps up, I am going to lose because I took on more damage in the beginning. I slammed my head into his nose and he begins to bleed; he starts to back off.

Zen: SPINNIG TIGER CLAW!

I spin my claw head and aim straight for his chest. But, he moves and I only get his shoulder. I did take a big chunk out of his shoulder though.

Leo: I WON'T LOSE TO A THEIF LIKE YOU!

Zen: Thief is such a harsh word. I prefer liberator or collector of valuable pieces of paper and coins.

Leo: THAT’S IT. I WILL DESTROY YOU NOW!

Zen: Sorry, I had some mud stuck in my ear. What did you say?

Leo: YOU!

Zen: Sorry, I really didn't hear what you said.

Leo: GREAT LION FANG!

Zen: GRAND TIGER!

Leo summons a huge lion and I summon my grand tiger. our attacks both collide and there is a huge explosion. The dust settles and Leo’s bracelets turns red. He lost. He then just disappears.

A.I: Winner, Zentora Shade.

Zen: Call me Zen.

A.I: Winner, Zen Shade.

After they announce the winner, I teleport out. I have cuts and bruises all over me. Leo is in no better shape. My friends come over to congratulate me.

Leo: You have beaten me in battle. I am a man of my word and accept my defeat gracefully.

Zen: Catch

I throw him his wallet. I took it off him and helped myself to a little compensation when we were fighting. I took more at first, but when I saw how he acted after the fight, I decided to take only a couple of dollars. The more I like person. the less compensation I take.

Leo; You stole my wallet?

Zen: I told you I would ask for compensation. I only took a couple of dollars.

Leo: Why did you take a hundred from my sister?

Zen: I don't like her.

Leo: ahhahahahahahhahahahah. We shall have to fight again Zen Shade. I will remember your name.

Just then, another guy approaches me. He is a pretty boy and has a ponytail. He’s staring daggers at me. What the hell did I do to you? I don't even know you and you’re giving me the stink eye.

Torin; Seiryu you have won our bet and I concede. New Number 5 watch your back. You cost me a chance with Seiryu today. You have made my list.

Then, he turns around and leaves.

Zen: What the hell did I do to him?

Sei: Don't Worry about it. Hey, I didn’t know your name was Zentora.

Zen: Don't remind me. Before my dad died my parents had a fight over my name. It was a combination. My dad loved tigers; the tora part in my name means Tiger in Japanese. But, my name sounds girly. So, I just shortened it to Zen.

Benny: YOU DID IT! I MADE KILLING! Let's go to a restaurant; I’m buying.

Zen: Who could resist free food?

Sei: Hey Decklyn, don't you have to run around the school naked?

Decklyn: .......Yeah.

Sei: and Moon the teachers; we doubled it.

Decklyn: God Damn it.

The next day Decklyn moons the teachers and runs around the school naked. We all laugh. Some of the teacher begins chasing after him.

Decklyn: I SHOULD HAVE BET ON ZEN!
