Quantum Worlds (A LitRPG dark fantasy)

Quantum Worlds features race and class designations, unique creatures, dungeon crawling, level progression and Easter eggs that reference video games and pop culture. This a dark fantasy, but it also has sprinklings of humor throughout. It is a multi-cast, multi-pov story. In many ways, it is a melding of one of my favorite novels, “The Stand”, with my favourite genre, LitRPG. I don’t espouse to be anywhere near Stephen King, but I would like to think that I have succeeded in many areas here (you’ll be the judge of that). So, this thriller-style story has a lot of build-up and lots of drama. When it hits the 100-page mark, it starts to take off with some intense action and fight scenes (although there are battles long before that). Nothing comes easy for this group of rescuers. And the dangers are very real. This saga is already over 100 chapters with more to come. I hope you enjoy it and look forward to your reviews, comments, and feedback. Thanks. Humanity won. In the war against the supreme dragons, humanity wrested victory from the literal jaws of the dragons. The strongest species lost their title and was cast down in history as ancient creatures, devoid of any civilization. Their cities, culture, and civilization were completely wiped out, with only the oldest of mages and greatest of anarchs remembering them. Humanity took the achievements of this immortal race and claimed it as their own. Humanity flourished. Now, a thousand years after the war, humanity has forgotten this primordial race. Unbeknownst to even the greatest of humanity's saints, the dragons did not lose to humanity just because of humanity. They had their own hand in their own defeat. But just like they were a cause in their own destruction, they will cause their rebirth without the help of any creature. The dragons will rise again. It's time to reclaim the title of the strongest species.

Revenant
Everyone dies. Not everyone gets back up again afterward. The Deep Paths are a cursed place, meant for those similarly cursed souls whom the gods themselves denied the sweet release of death. Revenants haunt the underworld, wielding forbidden powers and often consuming those who lack the strength to join them. At least, that's the story that parents teach their kids up on the surface. Reshid can't remember what he might have done to deserve such a fate, but he learns quickly that there is more to undeath than the gods and their faithful preach to the living. Revenants have a unique connection to essential magics that allows them to develop their powers in extremely diverse ways. Wherever there is power, though, there are those seeking to wield it, whether they be governments and gods from above, or mythical elder races from below.
