《Hero? I'm assassin, but that's the same right?》Chapter 14. Creating my first minion... eh... Skeleton?
Pyro POV
After I finished playing with bandits I decided to experiment with Necromancy... What did you expect? I am Polymath, so here's description
Polymath.
The one who hold this class can access to all the powers of other classes. This includes both basic and advanced classes.
So basic classes are the 8 main ones, while advanced is a combination... wait... I think I already heard that... so... anyway... If you got class of Puppeteer and Summoner you have access to the basic form of Necromancy. The advanced forms need also a mana stabilization. Oh right... joke about puppeteers and summoners are that if you aren't a mage then your creatures won't exist for long... Funny, right?
So my first experiment will be to create a skeleton from the bandit leader... good thing that I got quite a lot of mana, and the effeciency is quite good... So... let's start with it...
Pyro: “And... infuse here... add mana channels here, modify bone structure... let's crystalize mana... add some bone armor... add spikes... a bit more other stuff... hm... wings? Sure, let's go with them, but make them out of bone... add claws on hands and feet... horns? Yes, it will be fun... Oh and he will be black. Yes... like charcoal... can I make some glow inside his skull? Let's install gems... wait I don't have them... I got creation though... let's go with emeralds... yes... add some green streaks... and... We got a Necron... eh... sort of... it's made of bone, has spikes, horns, wings and whatnot, but it's form is that of... nope Necros are actually more like normal skeletons, but... Yeah... will add Ankh symbol... And all good. Now-”
Insufficient mana
Current mana 122/9000
Needed mana 3350
Well... OK... Did I made it strong? Or not? Anyway I finished quest, got some gold, granted by the system, uncommon token, 3 common ones and points... where's my stuff though?
*Sigh* Go to the menu, choose rewards.
Eh? Seriously? But last time I got sword right in front of me.
That time was RANDOM gear, this time you choose. Both Heavy armor and Weapon.
Got it... So... Let's get some armor...
Shop
Here you can, in exchange of corresponding tokens, buy necessary items.
You currently have following unclaimed items.
Uncommon Heavy Armor Set

Uncommon Weapon Set

Armor Sets
Weapon Sets
Defensive
Balanced
Offensive
Daggers
Swords
Polearms
...
Huh? So armor sets are different? I guess Defensive means more thick, Offensive... maybe some spikes, blades or other stuff?
Offensive means less protection and more stat dependent.
I would recommend either Balanced or Offensive judging by your actions.
My actions? Well nevermind... Let's see offensive armor types.
…
So... I took the Dracculi armor set. Dunno who was that guy, but the armor is quite cool. I mean it's made of Mythril-Durium alloy and have some sort of shadow cape, while also quite nasty claws on both gloves and boots. Oh and Razor horn, or something like that... also this armor is sleek... and is in white in color... need to make an enchant for color changing though...
About weapon... I decided to take sword whip, made of Durium... actually there is also Adamantite, and adamantine, which is some sort of easier produced material... And adamantite somehow considered the 'God's Blood' or 'God's Bones'... dunno why it is so...
Anyway... as soon as I got it, I changed into the new armor, I mean why do I need some annoying leather, when I got myself armor made of fantasy metal? And let me tell you this... Mythril ain't that light as those pricks tell... Not as heavy as steel, but still... This armor set weights around 22 kilos! Not that it's heavy... my sword whip actually weights 4 kilos... so the Durium is quite heavy... maybe my armor weights so much because of the Durium? I mean that sword that I got would weight up to 2 kilos, not 4 something... I mean it's actually similar to the long sword and... khm...
So after I got the rewards AND decided to spent some time playing around with status... oh right...

Hah? Anyway... don't care. It works, so everything is fine. Oh I need mastery increase in the whips category and necromancy... both to expert...

Cool... new skills...
Anyway I need to wait for the mana to regenerate... so... I will store the corpse inside inventory.
…
Allmighty Narrator POV
It was dawn... the capital Vertgass was currently in a peaceful sleep... well the ones who are regular citizens, and even in that case some were spending the night away from their family, if they had one.
The scenery of a new dawn over the capital was a sight to behold, especially for the guards stationed on the gates. Now though they couldn't see it because of some idiot standing in front of the gates.
Figure: “OPEN UP YOU LAZY BASTARDS!” the figure clad in white armor with black cloak covering it was annoyed.
Guard 1: “Can't you shut up?! I'm enjoying the scenery.”
Guard 2: “Yeah... besides the gates will be open after we end our watch, so wait a bit will ya?”
Figure: “You... YOU ARE FUCKING ANNOYING!!! WHAT THE FUCK SHOULD I DO IN THE MEANTIME?!”
Guard 5: “I don't know. Shouldn't you go hunt rabbits or something?” at such words guards laughed.
Figure: “Annoying bastards. And all the guards are lazy... fuck...” This figure was Pyro. He tried to enter through all gates, but every single time the guards will tell that gates are opened only after dawn, or if there is some serious reason. He could scale the walls, but then there would be some annoying questions, like where he was, when entered etc, not mentioning the alarm barrier. And so the Pyro decided to hunt a bit more, but he noticed that his mana was completely regenerated, so he decided to complete creating his first minion. Moving to the forest he took the 'skeleton' out of inventory and continued his work.
Pyro: “Let's continue... and now... arise my servant!” and making some excessive theatrical movements he pointed at the skeleton. Soon the corpse was moving, and the wannabe necromaner had his first undead slave, but...
Corpse: “Masssster... yourssss... ordersss?” the corpse was talking.
Pyro: “Um... can you talk without hissing?”
Corpse: “Yes... as... master... say...”
Pyro: “Good... then... why did I made you anyway?”
Corpse: “Master... can... master... give... me... name?”
Pyro: “Hmm... considering that you are a skeleton, has bone wings, spikes and nasty claws... let's call you Mr Boner, or Bones for short.”
Bones: “I... hear... you... master...”
Pyro: “Yeah... Let's stick with Bones... Boner is quite... strange?”
Bones: “Yes... I... am... Bones...”
Pyro: “Cool... Oh and can you access status?”
Bones: “No... master... I... can... not...”
Pyro: “... Is there any sort appraisal skill?”
Yes. Identify. Costs 1 uncommon token. Do you wish to buy it?
Pyro: “Of course I wish! Say what does it do?”
Identify.
Identifies the creature and items.
Will show Species or Material, Level, Name and Health or Durability.
Pyro: “Good... I will buy it... now [Identify]”
Name: Bones
Level 0
Species: Demi-Lich (Fright)
Health 2400/2400
Pyro: “So... Bones... you are a Demi-Lich... and quite nasty one I might add... and you are level zero...”
Bones: “Master... What... Do... You... Wish... Of... Me?”
Pyro: “Eh... track an animal, kill it and rise it's skeleton.”
Bones: “I... Obey...”
Pyro: “Good... now... where's the animals?”
Short one... and will probably post another chapter the day after tomorrow... there shouldn't be an ice age, right?

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
