I looked around me...everyone was moving very slow the sound and vibration was almost non-existing in this state,it was familiar to me and something i had used quite lot...time was slowing down...

I doubled checked to be sure that i wasn't the one who had evoked it ,but it was true it wasn't me and i had good guess on who it might be as i looked down towards the arena...

Light echoing footsteps could be heard throughout the arena the little girl with long white hair was moving leisurely towards the half-naked muscular bastard,holding her rusty dagger while keeping her cold eyes at him...her steps were light and small i could tell she was hurt and it took her a lot to stay straight while she walked...even thought time had slowed down she and i were the only ones who could move freely it made me already guess who she was,my shock had already gone and passed replaced by determination and quick thinking...so how do i get down here ?

The answer was simple...i don't.

And with that thought the girl had already closed up to her opponent and slid his throat slowly letting me hear the sound of metal cutting meat that only i could hear through my enhanced hearing...i looked towards her for a moment seeing this innocent looking girl standing on her toes to reach the big guys throat just to kill him without resistance looked very wrong to me and looking at her face i could see dozens of small scars and her left eye was also closed replaced by a massive scar,the left side of her throat was also scarred with a big lash going down her neck...brutal.

With her job finished the girl just started to step back towards her original position...i didn't understand why she did that if she starts time normally again then the guy will die from the wound she had inflicted showing the audience that she didn't even move a finger to do so when she gets back to her original standing point...was she maybe trying to hide the fact that she can move freely ? Or was she trying to make it look like she used force blades or super speed to do it ?

Either way the fight was over as she stepped into her original spot and dropped the dagger putting her hands to her head as she kneel'ed down waiting for some reason...in that very moment time started normally again as i could see her flinch for a second...the small labor she did to do this was still stacking on her weak body which was understandable.

-Fast...

Hestia muttered as she looked at the girl intensely...i wanted to retort and say that she was just slow but didn't do so to keep this a secret.

The spectators were confused too for a few seconds as they saw the little girl kneel down,her dagger dropped to the ground,they all thought that she was surrendering and accepting her death but what they didn't expect to happen was that her opponent was starting to gag for some reason...no,he was already starting to bleed as the wound bellow his neck opened making a stream of blood appear pushing him onto the ground as he looked at himself in disbelieve...the game was already settled the moment she walked in it was unfair if you had to say it,but no one really cared did they ?

The guy's suffering continued for about 2 minutes or so before he fell down turning into a lifeless corpses as he wasn't even able to take a step forward when the fight began truly miserable.

-did something happen ? i couldn't see

-did the girl do it ? no that can't be she surrendered right ? why is he dead ?

The people in the spectator seats were in a small uproar as they started questioning the spectacle that had occurred in front of their eyes,the event was too fast for them to see,confused a lot of people even most of the girls who were in this balcony didn't see what happened but i noticed that christina and hestia saw what happened even if only barely.

-She...she moved very quickly towards her opponent and slid his throat and came back in just a few seconds...

Christina told the others evenly amazed by the feat from the girl...her eyes were shining a light blue color you could see a magic circle being cast on those eyes of hers after all christina was still human without enhancements she needed to rely on her own spells to be able to see it clearly and concerning hestia...she wasn't even human she was a phoenix a kind of ancient bird and i was sure these kinds of birds had much better vision than any supernatural i knew of.

The others hearing what christina,felt shocked for a second everyone trusted christina a lot meaning they didn't doubt her when she said something like this as they looked down towards the arena to the young scarred girl who was still kneeling down on the ground,they couldn't believe that someone as small and young as her could do something like this ,but then again...i could feel a couple glances directed at me from the girls making them stay quiet in the end.

As everyone in the audience still seemed to be confused a sudden poof of dark smoke appeared above the arena revealing the moderator of this arena as he announced.

-Ladies and gentlemen the winner is the White Witch ! For people who are confused this battle was supposed to be only the tip of the ice berg showing you that outer appearance means nothing in this life and death battle,mark these words in your head as only strength rules in the arena and with it comes blood...now please applaud our winner for this flawless victory and don't worry the next fights won't be this quick i guarantee...

Sick bastard...i thought for a second as the audience just accepted the fact and started clapping and cheering once again...while they were doing that i looked down to the little girl and saw her being surrounded by 8 guards holding automatic weapons in their hands pointing at her threatening,she didn't resist and just held her kneeled position while looking down holding her hands to her head...

One of the guards in the end,handcuffed her and started pulling her towards the gate with a possessive and put off manner...i see they were scared of her explains a lot.

-I am going now keep an eye on these bunch i will tell you when we are going to meet at the hut again outside...

I whispered to hestia making her nod for a second but i could see the clear dissatisfaction on her face,she wanted to come with me but knew that i wouldn't have any use for her if she did and keeping her here to protect everyone was much better then coming with me.

With that said i stood up from my seat slowly taking my steps towards the double door with a clear goal in mind while holding the golden pocket watch.I willed my thoughts for a second as i stopped time clearing all the cheering and clapping sounds as it turned into complete silence clearing my mind for a bit.

I opened the door with one light push revealing the massive hallway ,our escort kelly was still standing by the side of the door guarding it her face was partially hidden but looking at her eyes i could see that she was fluid and concentrated on her current task,maybe if i didn't have this ability i would have had some trouble fighting her but then again...if i didn't have this ability i wouldn't be here would i ?

With those thoughts i turned around and started following the golden string that was laid in my vision my pace was casual and non-rushed as i continued walking from turn to turn and room to room.

There was a reason i didn't take the girl the moment i saw her,at the time she was the center of attention and i could see that the guards were somewhat careful around her even feared her slightly meaning that if she suddenly disappears in the middle of the fight than it would warrant caution from the other personal inside the colloseum making them search or even guard the transportation circles on this island which i didn't want of course...i wanted to mainly go in and out without anyone seeing me nor knowing who i was and with the tracking spell on my hand finding her wasn't hard the only thing that i would risk here was the way hestia would arrive at the meeting point when i tell her that i was on my way...you see with her fiery temper i am not even sure if she can handle this...at least leraje would be quiet when killing someone...

It had been half an hour already since i started walking through the colloseum following the golden string,there were numerous rooms and paths to take,but fortunately i had a guide so it wasn't that bad.I had only met a few people on this search all of who which were "A" guarding a door to a spectator and "B" going through the hallway taking patrol...the security around here was small but then again the building was large meaning that there could be a ton of guards just spread out everywhere,anyways i wasn't worried in the slightest about them it's just that most of the guards all look a like making me sometimes wonder if i was walking circles but thankfully there was the golden string that reminded me i wasn't which was good.

The golden string lead me down stairs and while that happened i noticed that every level i was taking down the guards would also start to get a bit more numerous and better equipped finally reaching a level where the string lead towards a specific door in the lower levels of this building...the atmosphere here was very thick and dark the guards were also a bit more rigid and meaner looking ,while i walked here i also saw a few woman walking around in very revealing clothing probably prostitutes but for who was unknown and i didn't want to know either.

Standing in front of the door i needed to get in were 3 large guys holding big guns which looked bizarre to me...their faces were partially hidden by their helmets and their armor was also glowing blue for a bit with smooth edges here and there...

It wasn't good to disable them now so i ignored them for the time being and just slipped through them opening the door and getting inside...easy.

With that thought in mind i looked around the room and was momentarily shocked when i saw that it only contained one thing which was a small cage and inside of that cage there was something which looked like a small ball made out of white hair mixed with brown,for a moment i didn't realize it was a person until the golden string actually connected itself with the thing inside of the little cage...it was the girl and with that i started time again.

I was standing near the door as i took a step forward towards the cage...on a closer inspection you could see the girl in a crouched position sitting in the cage while hugging her knees her long white hair was a bit abnormal for someones as young as her but didn't bother me as i slowly started to take another step forward...the reason i was doing this was to catch her attention which i failed in even thought i somehow magically appeared in this room it didn't bother her one bit nor did she turn her gaze towards me just looking down while hugging her knees...for a moment i was a bit distracted while looking at her seemingly endlessly deep right eye that told me that she had already seen it...seen everything the world had to offer mainly the things which were too cruel for someone as young as her...her eye spoke more than thousand words and also showed me her sadness and indifference towards everything she looked upon there was no rage or misery just a deep pit of sadness buried deep into her right eye which was clouding her golden light...

I looked at the cage for a second a bit too shaken by her appearance i tried to find a way to open it and noticed that the door to the cage was actually...open ?

It wasn't locked no it seemed like the person who put her here just simply pushed her inside and then lazily pushed the door shut without locking it...what an idiot.

I opened the door to the cage for and looked at the girl again...she was still emotionless not moving one inch she could have just escaped if the door was open why didn't she do it ? Anyways i tried to be more detail friendly as i looked at her but it was hard not to notice her numerous scars that were spread on her face and most importantly her left eye and the long scar that lashed down her throat...was she even able to talk with that wound ?

I said a bit awkwardly not really sure what to say really this situation was just too bizarre thinking about couldn't i just give her the damn watch and let her push the button ?

Thinking about it i could and i did,as i quickly pulled out the golden hand watch which was radiating divine essence i showed it to the scarred girl and said.

She wasn't responding or looking at me...she didn't even seem to have noticed that i was here...this was hopeless...she was broken from the inside she won't react to anything and will just isolate herself inside her head...

I got a bit frustrated by her ignorance but i couldn't blame her it wasn't the poor girls fault that she was here or what she had gone through the adults were at fault the people who were seeking profit for small labor or blood even looking at her made me want to just stand up and kill that old geezer,but in the end that wouldn't solve anything he was just one of the thousands or millions of those people in this world gaining money by other peoples misfortune if i kill him the next evenly ambitious one would just replace him...and i thought that i wouldn't care but i did didn't i ?

Ahh my head throbbed for a bit it was a long few days a lot of things happened and i didn't really rest properly...

I glanced at her for a second...her expression never changed she didn't even seemed to have blinked which was odd but what was really interesting to me was her age ? How old was she ? I couldn't really tell from all the scars that she had but mentally removing them revealed a cute cheerful little girl with long white hair and glossy white skin her eyes shining like mine,my imagination was really cruel in times like these the things that were already lost to the present couldn't be returned that easily...

In the end i guessed that she was 8 to 9 years old close to stella's age making me frown even more as i dismissed that thought quickly pressing the button on the watch with her thump,me expecting this insanity to finally end.

I quickly closed the door to the cage and leaned onto the wall that was next to the door to this room.I was trying to hide and let the old man go inside without noticing me for him to close the door.

And as i assumed i could hear his footsteps coming to the door as the guards stepped aside to let him in and while he was doing that i had already summoned my plasma sword thinking about the watch and the girl and why it didn't work...

The first thing that came into my mind was...maybe she wasn't it ?Or maybe she needs to press it willfully herself,but chronos told me that the girl just needs to press it and thats it why isn't it responding then did i really get the wrong person ? No,that can't be it the tracking spell lead me to this place to her ! She was the one the person who i searched for over these past 3 days ! For god sakes !

I narrowed my eyes as i looked down onto the dark brown floor made out of some kind of stone...

Was this a failure ? If yes then am i doomed now ? Then why am i not dead yet ?

The girl turned her head towards the old man then at me she knew that i was present now for the first time our eyes met she was wide-eyed for a moment as she looked at my golden eyes but quickly calmed when she saw the old man who was holding the taser...starting to shiver lightly.

The girl croaked and whimpered not being able to say anything proving that she really couldn't talk anymore.The old man seemed to be satisfied as he stored his taser into his pocket.

Anyways the elderly old man didn't notice and just focused on shaking the cage scaring the girl and slowly starting to agitating me even more.

I could feel my vision almost turning red from the way he spoke my hand was also gripping the handle to the point of shaking as i looked at the man with hate and death.

She didn't listen as she continued her pleading while looking at me she was gripping the watch in her hand looking down there were tears in her eyes as she closed them making a stream of tears roll down her cheeks..
