-Hey miss do you have a room ?

I asked leaning onto the wooden counter while pointing my eyes towards the bard maid that was cleaning a wooden mug her eyes were a clear blue with smooth white skin and rosy faint lips which made her beautiful in a very charming sense,judging from her appearance she looked to be 18 or 21 years old maybe even older,but not too far from that age.

The tavern bar I was in currently was the one I didn't get the chance to visit after meeting up with kashmar I figured that I should find a place to stay so I first thought of this place and came back for a room.

Half of the people inside the bar were looking over their tables towards here obviously staring at this bar maiden rather then drink or talk with their friends it seemed like business was booming because of her.

-huh ?

The bar maid temporarily stopped cleaning the mug the look she had on her face was that of complete indifference and boredom her eyes moved down looking at me temporarily until her eye widened for a moment.

(Clack)

The sound of a falling item could be heard very clearly it wasn't all too loud,but it was obvious enough for the rest of the people to hear on top of which most of them realized where the sound came from pulling their attention towards what was happening at the counter.

The bar maiden had dropped her wooden mug as she looked at me wide eyed,I was a it confused on why she did that,but I didn't say anything and just continued smiling waiting for her to answer my question.

-Do..do you have a room lady ?

I asked again the way she was looking at me was very dazed it made me slightly troubled really not sure how to respond,but fortunately she immediately caught herself and blushed heavily looking down.

-We..we have a room dear guest it costs 2 silver...no,1 silver talon a night adding food expenses it would make another 50 copper talons...would you like a room sir ?

I thought for a moment,personally I was a bit hungry and thirsty too I needed some rest and alone time until tomorrow so I was planning to shut myself into the room make the potions and then give them to harlin it was a solid plan.

I nodded towards the bar maiden and started discussing about the room the payment was 1 silver and 50 copper talons total,because I didn't have change with me,I simply gave her two silver coins and told her that she could keep the rest,I didn't need 50 individual coins weighing me down and I wasn't hurting on money either.

-I..I will quickly bring you the keys sir please wait here !

She said sort of flustered,her face was red up her ears and sometimes I could see her directly staring into my eyes when I wasn't paying attention which I was,I didn't say anything about that and simply nodded my head with my own kind smile sitting down onto the stool beside the counter watching the cute bar maiden sprint out to get the key.

The room here was awfully quiet for some reason,I felt multiple stares directed at me most of which were in form of daggers trying to pierce a whole into my chest,I didn't feel intimidated and also didn't look back since I didn't want to cause any trouble.

While I was thinking that I realized that a group of people sitting on a different table in the corner suddenly rose up from their seats even though I couldn't see them I could still hear and smell their horrible fumes their intent was also very clear to me since I could hear a ominous and mocking tone in their voice which was followed by small laughter.

-Mind if we sit here partner ?

The guy who stood at the front asked glancing at him i could see that he was fairly handsome his clothing also seemed very neat,but his breath was horrible with the heavy trace if alcohol running through his lips.

-I don't...

I said not giving him any mind anymore and instead looking back towards the end of the room on the left corner where a person was sitting alone in the shadow with black clothing cover his or her entire body showing only the glint in that persons eyes which wasn't very good.

That person started following me after harlin and I had that small deal,I wasn't sure what he or she wanted and questioning him while we were in the streets didn't sound very comfortable to me so I waited and expected him or her to follow me up to the tavern bar a few minutes ago I even saw that person talk to these people that were surrounding me right now...what did I get myself into ?

I sighed to myself the few men who just seated themselves saw my sigh and smiled at me almost mocking.

-So...where are you from ?

The guy asked he held a wooden mug in his hand the smell was obvious to me of what the content was carrying a distinctive sharp and sour smell to it...beer.

-I don't wanna talk

I simply replied blankly not even turning my head to him to tell him that,the handsome man got stiff for a moment hearing my straight forward he probably didn't expect me to be so indifferent it almost made him angry really just like his companions.

-Well thats bad for you man since I wanna know where you came from you will have to answer me where you came you understand ?

I snorted.

-Or what ?

The handsome man wasn't fazed by my words and simply reacted.

-Or I will make you pay for my drink my friend...

He stared at me his eyes showing a cold and cruel look in his eyes,well this guy didn't seem to be all too inexperienced in this kind of job was he ?

We held this silence for a few seconds his little friends beside us were giggling and holding their cups while drinking vigorously,I wanted to tell them to go fuck themselves,but just as I was about to do that the bar maiden came back.

-Dear guest I got your key...dear guest ?

She appeared quickly and the moment she came up she noticed the new people who had joined behind the counter she narrowed her eyes looking at these people slightly disturbed by them because of the way they were looking at me and her.

The eyes of the handsome man temporarily traveled towards the bar maiden showing a very eager and refreshing look in his eyes as he leaned forward towards her forgetting all about my for a moment even.

-Hey drew,how about you and I get a room instead ?

The bar maiden seemed very displeased by the guys approach and looked at me a bit panicked,but when she saw me showing no expression about the topic whatsoever she sighed out of relief and stared at the guy with a angered look on her face.

-Go to your own room zulian,I don't share it with people like you...

The friends of this guy suddenly laughed out loudly her words had been loud enough for everyone in this tavern to be heard making multiple people inside chuckle or laugh out.

Zulian who was in the center of humiliation just gritted his teeth angrily he looked at his friends or underlings for a moment to shut them up and while he was doing so I stood up from my seat and made my way next to the bar maid to the take the key.

-Hey hey hey were are you going my friend you still didn't pay for my drink !

He spoke angrily his hands were quickly reached at me,but I wasn't panicked I shut my eyes for a few seconds and opened them again and as I did so the hand that was about to reach me suddenly stopped.

(Guhh...)

The guy spat our saliva for a moment as his eyes swam inside his sockets violently his body was shaking and trembling non-stop and his hand that was about to grab me slowed falling down as he slumped towards the counter of the bar heavily without a movement.

His other 4 friends did the exact same thing and immediately got into a deep unconscious sleep the bar maiden seeing this event was shocked and couldn't understand what just happened.

-Seems like they had a little too much to drink...

I commented my words weren't all too quiet and slowly people started to agree one after another dismissing this event as just simple drunk mans mistake not knowing that I had knocked them out while stopping time.

-Lady can you lead me to my room please ?

I asked smiling at her,the bar maiden was momentarily confused of the what to make out of the situation,but she soon caught herself and just figured that they had indeed drunken themselves to sleep,she focused on my and smiled sweetly leading the way upstairs with the key in hand telling me about their tavern and that it was made by her parents she talked a lot basically.

Just before I got up towards the stairs I took my moment to glance at the corner of the room again,that mysterious figure in black wasn' present again,but I knew that it wasn't the last time I would see him,time will tell and I felt that it wouldn't be long.

-Show me every servant...

I whispered staring at the blank pages of the book with a expectant look in my eyes,I was inside my room right now,it wasn't all to shabby a bit dark,but I had a candle keeping me some company and space for the night.

The food in this establishment great though it didn't compare to elisabeths cooking,but it was still delicious nonetheless the bar maiden was also very hospitable towards me so I had nothing to complain really.

I felt bored inside the room I already finished my task with the potion making and just made 30 potions by breaking and rewinding them to make exact duplicates the work took me only 10 minutes and after that I realized that I didn't have a lot of things to do so I figured that I should explore the clavicula I bit more.

The book was very much interesting at first I asked it to reveal me a directory about it and it did without a hesitation it was a semi-sentient being in itself,but worked like a machine or a robot in a magical sense the amount of books that were stored inside the book was massive the titles were all pretty confusing and I had already skimmed through a few different books to see if I could find something interesting,but in the end it was hard half of the book was about magic in itself some basic and advanced things were written all over it and somethings even I couldn't understand,I even understood that the book was translating the words that are obviously in a foreign language into my own language if I was a magician or handled magic in sort of way this book would be a incredible use to me,but unfortunately it was not,I had not skill towards magic I was a normal person after all.

The book in my opinion seemed to be a bit ominous and demonic in a way there were a lot of rituals written on it some of which were disturbing to a whole new level needing weird ingredients like the hand of a newly born baby or the seed of a virgin woman...I really don't wanna know what the seed is supposed to be..

After going through many books I finally decided to simply look at the summoned beings residing inside the book it immediately showed me every name of every individual that was a servant of the book itself a total amount of 74 names 2 of which were added into it this year next to the name there would always a date showing the day when they had been bound to the book and simply choosing a name would also reveal the person,the explanation for each demon was both illustrative and linguistic telling their character their strengths and some bits of their past of who they were and what they did in the past,the activation for these demons was not written in any of their introductions such as lerajes requirement to kill to be summoned or hestias requirement to be resurrected to be summoned making me assume that you can only summon them by chance with your random actions.

-Baal...what a odd name..

I muttered to myself choosing the demon that was ranked number 1 curious of who this guy might be and as I did so the pages started to shift once again the words were disappearing and slowly reappearing in a different context showing a picture of a old man with a crown and noble robes he wasn't all too well when it came to looks,but because of his age he looked fairly preserved making me believe that he was handsome when he was young and for another reason I had a very stinging feeling when I looked into his eyes,it was a ordinary picture not even the real thing so why did I feel so tranced by this persons glare ?

It was royal.

That was the only thing that came to my mind when looking at this person,he was strong in a different way that I couldn't get my head around.

-I should stop...

I mumbled I didn't bother reading his story since I had already enough of the book,it described way too much manslaughter or gruesomeness at some points making my thought train go bad and on top of that...I think I have a guest...

I thought looking at the window gazing at the starry night sky and listening to the footsteps of the person that was walking beside the window.
