With the argument over I swiftly turned around and was ready to leave,my body felt incredibly sore and I had not really a desire to depart right now,but because of the damage I had created,I found it necessary to leave right now if I didn't want trouble to follow me.

Scar also understood my intentions and quickly picked up her share of money that we had agreed on,the filthy ground we were standing in was currently covered with piles of gold coins the alley itself was very empty with not a single soul to be seen,I wasn't going to pick up these gold coins since I didn't even need them.

Scar was very conscious about this issue and looked at the amount she had picked up and sad at the amount of gold there was right now,I couldn't understand her to the least...she could take whoever as much as she wanted to why take 12 gold coins instead ?

Either way I didn't ask her that and just gestured her to move on already which she did.

Going out of the alley way scar lead the way towards the magicians association,the streets were bustling intensely people were yelling and running around ,the guards were trying to put some order into the situation with a few fights popping out here and there,it was pretty much chaos.

While walking scar constantly glanced through the crowd she even looked at me a few times when I wasn't looking which I was,her gaze held that obvious sign of curiosity.

-We are about to arrive...you don't look good are you sure we should do this ? Don't you need to rest first ?

Scar asked a bit perplexed,but I didn't mind it and just sighed turning towards the massive and extravagant building.

-Halt ! You are about to enter the magicians association if you are an outsider or not awaited then you are not allowed into the building please state your business or your magicians rank first if you have one ?

In front of that building two massive guards stopped us from entering they wore crimson red full plate armor and had evenly colored glaive's hanging behind their backs their eyes were firm and focused almost intimidating.

Scar was panicked she didn't know what to say really and just glanced at me and then back to the guard,the person who he was talking to was scar of course.

-I am being expected by a female magician called harlin she said that I should come today and deliver her something...which I can't disclose of course...

I answered,the crimson guard looked at me temporarily my stiff tone seemed to have annoyed him and his partner somewhat,but they didn't mind it and just answered evenly.

-Magister harlin didn't say she does expect anyone kid and because of this chaos she doesn't have to receive anything if you really have something that you need to deliver to her then give it to us we will give to her instead...

The crimson guard said taking a step forward towards me,he had his eyes on my jacket and jeans they were a bit dirty,but the blood stains on them were already gone,I had used some amount of power to rewind my clothing to the original state my light injuries were still present,but they weren't bad and didn't as much then before.

Hearing his words made me a bit inconvenienced and also a bit frustrated since I couldn't tell when harlin would actually show herself,I didn't want to give the potions to this guard too since it was the only thing that would let me give entrance to this building "Officially" that is I had more then a few "Unofficial" ways to enter the building though which seemed to be much more useful to me at the moment.

-Wait ! Guards stand still that kid over there I am indeed awaiting him let him pass...

Out of nowhere harlin came from behind revealing herself to the guards she was followed by the young mage apprentice kashmar who waved at me friendly.

Seeing harlin herself personally come out and notify them made the two crimson guards surprised they immediately followed some kind of custom and kneel'ed down on the ground showing respect to harlin who stared at me arms crossed and eyes narrowed.

I sucked in cold air and started making my way towards harlin,scar who was now following behind me was a bit frightened she seemed overall very scared about magic in general even though she didn't show that too much it is understandable since people tend to fear the unknown more then a blade itself.

Harlin didn't waste a minute and simply started walking into the massive building,I followed along without a word and watched silently as kashmar walked over her stared at scar momentarily a bit astonished and charmed until he started talking to me all of a sudden.

-Hey did you know just a few minutes a part of the city was complete demolished the city is in turmoil and half of the magicians in the association were send out to investigate the matter,a very high amount of mana was sucked from the leyline of the land directly towards the demolished area it was crazy since when it happened most of the magicians who were doing some experiments started to fail because of the lack of mana that was present ! Right now the headmaster and a few other elders think that there seems to be a very powerful magician who came into the city the power was comparable to a "Archmage" rank magician itself...not that I ever seen one before its just that master harlin told me about it...

Kashmar spoke excitedly his eyes were sparkling when he told me that about,Harlin suddenly stopped in her tracks there was a small feeling of anger rising inside her tone as she spoke.

-Kashmar,I know that I told you about it,but do you understand that what you just said is a secret right now ?

Kashmar was immediately panicked as he started to go pale,he didn't seemed to have thought this far.Anyways harlin gave kashmar a single angry glare until she stopped and turned back to me her eyes showing curiosity and also suspicions towards me for some reason,she had also glanced at scar behind me,but ignored her afterwards as not important.

-Ignore this fool of an apprentice...I take it that the reason you came is because you finished brewing those potions I had requested from you ?

Harlin asked her attention now solely pulled towards me or rather the potions.

-Yes,I have them and actually I won't issue money for these potions rather I want to know if you are ready with the transportation circle to the capital ?

My question had harlin immediately grit her teeth as her eyes swam she seemed unsure of what to answer me with for some reason...it made unsettled inside my heart...could it be that she doesn't have it?

-Ms.Harling ? Do you have it ready or not ? Since you were the one who requested me first I would have a right to now if what I am doing right now would give me what I need ?

I prompted trying to get some answers out of her.

-That...we may have a small problem when it comes to that...I mean the transportation circle...

-What kind of problem ? I thought that you said that you would keep your word ms.harlin ?

My words made harlin immediately agitated as she looked at me a bit angered.

-You...ugh...no,its not that I am breaking my word here its just that a few minutes ago something very problematic happened as you just discovered from my idiot apprentice over there the leyline or rather the mana of this area had been sucked significantly everything over tier 3 magic cannot be casted anymore because of the lack of mana that is currently in our area....the transportation circle in itself is a spatial type tier 3 magic it can be used,but there is one downside to that...

I narrowed my eyes.

-What is it ?

-The...the distance of the teleportation cannot be established with the current amount of mana in the area for it to work properly we need to at least wait until the leyline is recovered to a decent level...

I didn't need to think about my next words as they came out automatically with them the sheer amount of annoyance it was to even word them.

-How long ?

-at least a week...

A week...I didn't have that much time the tournament would start in 3 days from now on I needed to get there under 3 days max.The issue was serious and it was all happening because of walrick...I didn't think that his blasting would lead me to this predicament,but still there was hope.

-Can't I just teleport somewhere with a stable line of mana and then use that transportation circle to get to the capital ?

My question was solid,but harlin immediately frowned hearing it,she also probably thought about the issue and answered me patiently.

-That is also a very bad idea...you see the transportation circle is a magic we had acquired only recently which is 50 years ago it may be long for you,but in our history for spells and array's to be fully understood,it takes 250 years at most which is why I say that it is early for us...anyways there is a big problem concerning the transportation circle after a single usage of the circle the person who used it before can't use it again for at least another 5 days...

-Why

I used the transportation circles previously just fine ? Why is this different from the ones I used in my world ?

My question seemed to have stumped harlin for a moment as she wasn't even sure what to answer me anymore,the reason behind this probably had probably a lot of theories and explaining to do things that I probably wouldn't understand which harlin tried to answer in a simple manner.

-You...you die if you do...the transportation circles sucks you up into its void stream and you get lost or even die in the void space that is created through the transportation...it is complicated and as I said the array itself is unstable..

My gums itched for a moment as I tried to think of any alternative way to solve this...if what she says is right then I can't travel with the circle two times in a row I am limited to only a single leap and thats it.

I was thinking hard trying to calculate a few things harlin stood in front of me still waiting for me and my answer looking a bit impatient,she seemed to be thinking hard just as me probably trying to make the situation look less bad and searching for answer for herself,luckily that particular answer quickly came to her as she spoke.

-Karena city is the closest the transportation circle can get you,it is also relatively close to the capital itself and it will at least take you 2 days on viscurs to get to the capital itself which should be enough time...is this enough ?

Harlin asked her voice was nervous and polite it was obvious that she was trying hard to get the potions in her possession having me unsatisfied wouldn't do for her since I had every right to just not give her the potions or simply give her less then the agreed on amount.

Frankly speaking I didn't care...2 days was less then 3 days so if what she said was true then it was also one of the only ways I could possibly arrive in time.

Still though I sighed not being able to go directly into the capital was problematic,but it still helped on top of that I had no choice.

Seeing me sigh like this made harlin very nervous,but in the next moment she widened her eyes as she saw dozens of purple potions appear on the ground.

Harlin got greedy and was obviously going to scoop the bottles up,but before she was about to do that I stepped forward and blocked her from coming closer.

My action confused her,but she stopped for a moment figuring that this wasn't the end of it.

-Since you aren't fully keeping the agreement we had,I want you to somehow help me in anyway for my journey to be a little bit easier...you understand ?

Harling nodded blinking for a moment as she thought of what she could do to make it up for me.

(Bang)

But just as we were standing like this not far off a loud banging sound could be heard,it was followed by multiple voices,shouting and yelling my hearing was extraordinary so I was the first person to realize that there was something going one right now at the entrance.

-Magister harlin ! Magister halrin !

From the other end of the corridor a robbed middle aged man came out hastily,he had a pale look on his face while facing us everyones attention was pointed at him,while I was staring at the door behind us instead...counting.

-What is it ?

Harlin asked the guy was still catching his breath finally swallowing his saliva as he spoke.

-The...the wolf blood gang ! They are attacking the association right now !

Everyones eyes got wide as they heard what the middle aged man just said,I didn't even know about who he was talking about only that the magicians association was under attack now...and that the door was going to be rammed open.

(BOOM)

Just as predicted a loud explosion came forth blasting the steel door from its frame,the smoke was plenty so were the men as they stormed into the room swords raised.

My hand itched seeing this amount of people charging through,the amount of stamina I had recovered wasn't much as you may have guessed already.
