There was strong wind,the wind blew heavily shaking the branches of the trees as they rustling in the wind,there wasn't much sound in the air nor was there any interaction as scar and I walked back towards the road to the capital with the giant lizard following us.

My hand was entirely soaked it was very red and felt disgustingly sticky at the same time,the smell was also like copper,not that I wasn't already used to it,but rather felt inconvenienced by the blood.

At least it wasn't my blood.

I thought shaking off the big remains of the blood on my hand and then glancing to my side looking at the detached scar who had a haunted look on her face a very pale complexion too her eyes squirming and shifting nervously as her fists were clenched tightly shaking gently.

My heart shook for a slight moment seeing her so miserable,but I kept it inside and simply thought of a few ways to raise the mood somehow either way I couldn't really think of anything good to say or to do to raise the atmosphere so I just decided to keep my mouth shut until scar felt like talking herself.

My mind also started to wander momentarily in this silence thinking about the event that had just occurred a few minutes ago the blade lunging forward and a painful shriek resounding which was followed by the sound of gushing blood.

But fortunately I wasn't the person who got stabbed,no it was the bandaged woman who took her last breath and it also wasn't I who had ended her life either.

I glanced at scar once again looking at the splatter of blood that was visible above her elbow...the splatter was thin and still very fresh showing the marks of her first kill.

After the woman lunged her blade at me I was immediately getting ready to summon my plasma sword and cut her head off,but just as I was about to do so,scar acted faster then me and instantly drew her dagger pushing me to the side she allowed me to avoid the lung and stabbed the woman instead directly to the heart which killed her instantly.Her move was purely made out of desperation and impulse she was panicked and scared that I would die at that moment so she did things without even thinking about them,immediately suffering the consequences as she realized the act she had done with her own hands falling down on her knees,no longer be able to fight anymore after taking out a single person.

I didn't really need her to fight and took out 10 people on my own entirely after a few rounds the bandits finally realized the big gap of power I had on them so they could only run away in fear as I slaughtered their companions one after another cutting their heads off without a hesitation ending the fight just as fast as it started with the enemy running away with their tails between their legs.

Just as the fight ended I needed to take care of scar who had collapsed to the ground,at the time she had the very same haunted look on her face and it took a lot of shouts just to bring her back to reality,I couldn't really understand her feelings at the moment so I decided to be quiet for a bit until scar calms down some more and gets herself together finally making her walk again as we made our way back towards the road,the time we wasted on this endeavor of ours was probably a single hour or even less.

Scar was still very depressed...no,not depressed rather scared if I had to describe it,her legs seemed a bit a unstable while she walked which made me constantly worry whether or not she would trip.

(Crack,Whump!)

And just as I was thinking about that scar immediately stepped onto a overgrown tree root tripping on it and falling down head first towards the ground,I quickly tried to catch her before she would hurt herself,but I wasn't able to as the motion just happened too quickly for me to grasp properly added with the fact that it slightly surprised me it was far too late to catch her properly my hands slipping on her soft skin as she fell down heavily.

-...

My eyes were entirely fixated at scar as she didn't even try to stand up just laying there with a very defeated aura seeping from her entire body,I couldn't even say anything or ask her whether or not she was alright my tongue just felt that if I said something wrong she would immediately lash out with a raging fit so I wanted to avoid stepping onto any obvious land mines and simply crouched down holding her onto her shoulders trying to help her get up.

(Slap)

The moment I touched scar's should she immediately proceeded to slap away my hands from her,I felt the anger she was showing and refrained from coming near again.

Struggling for a bit scar attempted to get back up on foot,I could already see that she had hurt her leg and felt increasingly worried that she would once again do something reckless and make it even worse,without minding anything anymore I once again came closer and held onto her shoulder to get her back up,she immediately growled at my action,but didn't dare to look at my face as she tried to push me away once again.

-You...you...why why are you meddling with me so much ? We don't even know each for too long and you insist on calling me a friend ? Why can't you just leave me alone already ? Or do you want me to say that I was wrong ? That I misjudged the situation ? That I was blinded by my own feelings ? That I acted like an idiot even though it was probably obvious enough that she was someone who couldn't be trusted...yes,I admit to all of these things and admit that I am a complete idiot who just tried to make herself feel better,but in the end what are you even here for ? Why are you haunting me ? Didn't I already tell you that I broke the agreement ? There isn't any reason for you stick any longer is there ? Just leave me alone already...

She spouted out every word of hers getting even more bitter the more she spoke as she hid her eyes under her hair in utter despair.

I gritted my teeth for a moment feeling agitated the more I was looking at her miserable state my hands gripping into a fist as my eyes narrowed down at her.

(Slap)

-Aghhh !

At that very moment another painful shriek resounded through the forest,it was loud and very short lived as the person who resounded the shriek was on her knees holding her slapped and throbbing cheek painfully on the side.

-You...you dare hitting me ? You dare hit a WOMAN !

She shouted out angrily as she glared at me her eyes now fiery enough to show me some heat,but not even close to make me sweat as I continued to stare at this woman coldly dispelling that raging anger in her eyes as she saw the look I was giving her looking away again not daring to meet my stare again.

Scar was ashamed and very hurt inside as she felt intimidated by me once again,my stare gave birth to another sense of fear inside of her she obviously felt very wronged,but she also knew that she was wrong which is also why she felt guilty.

-You want me to leave you alone ? If so then I want to ask you one thing...why did you shove me away ? Why did you stab that woman? Why did you tell me about yourself ?

My voice was calm and my tone was icy as it send shivers deep down into scars spine she felt overwhelmed by me and much more so because of the words I was directing at her,these were all things that she did for a reason I wanted to hear that reason out of her mouth if not then I was going to make her face that reason myself.

This in itself may be entirely pointless or useless,but still I wasn't going to abandon her because no matter what she was still my friend after the previous fight that thought only strengthened even more no matter how much she denies or tries to push me away it is useless now.

Scar still kept her head down shaking her head left and right as she replied.

-I...I don't know I felt fear and I just didn't want to die it has nothing to do with you...

She once again tried to deny it,but I could only sigh as I crouched down next to her grabbing her chin as I moved it towards me own facing meeting her eye to eye as she tried to pull away from my grip.

-Weren't you just calling for help ? Didn't you just felt scared that the only person who admitted you as a friend would die before your eyes? Even now you don't really want me to leave do you ?

-(Hic)...

Scar cried once again...massive amounts of tears started to flow down her eyes as they began to form something like a river coming down her cheeks she didn't struggle anymore and felt weak under my grip finally giving herself in as she stopped resisting and directly jumped into me hugging me and pressing hard against my chest as her hands gripped onto my waist sobbing softly on my shoulder muffling her voice.

I felt a bit surprised by the sudden hug,but didn't reject it and instead just patted scar to calm her down,my eyes were droopy at the time and this continued on for about an hour or so until scar finally was able to calm down properly,she still hung onto my like a bee onto its nectar and didn't say anything,I also felt increasingly awkward because of the long exposure of close contact I was with scar at the moment,ordinarily I don't have this much contact with just any woman other then hestia which is why it was awkward...

-Are you alright now ?

I asked,I felt I should ask before pushing her away since it didn't feel right to just push her away without saying anything,my words also made scar shiver for a slight moment as she sniffed her nose for a second replying to me.

-I...ehm..yes,I am okay...I am sorry...I am sorry that I had made so much trouble to you that I am always a trouble and say stupid things...I..I won't cry anymore..I swear...

Scar said still hugging me in place making me feel a bit nervous from the inside as I couldn't help,but speak.

-I understand,but can you get off me right now ?

-...

My question immediately made scar a bit surprised as she raised herself for a moment her soft hips rubbing onto my waist as she looked at me now face to face showing a extremely shy and stunned look on her face.

-You...you don't like it ? I thought you...

She stopped mid-sentence as she started to speak gibberish to herself in a very confusing manner her face was entirely scarlet like her name I wasn't sure why it was,but I didn't think about it either way and just moved scar out my lap.

-Hey you jerk !

She cried out in a pained voice that I couldn't quite understand why her cheeks were still red though while I stared at her as she tried to get up by herself quickly realizing that she couldn't as her leg seemed to be slightly injured because of her clumsy fall previously.

I smiled,putting my hand forward I gestured towards scar to help her up,she looked at my hand for a small moment and immediately took it with both of her hands getting up from the dirty ground and wiping away her tears stains,her refreshed appearance made me smile which also seemed to have made scar a bit more distracted as she started to get shy again looking down while averting my golden eyes.

-The agreement we had is broken right ?

I asked,scar instantly raised her head to me showing a very regretful and stunned expression soon afterwards smiling awkwardly.

-How about we forget about that ? I was stupid back then and I wasn't really serious about because I just tried to make you feel guilty so you would follow along...

She confessed,I knew that she was partially lying because the glare she showed me at the time was genuine,but either I wasn't going to call on that topic,but instead thought for a few seconds smiling again as I figured a good idea inside my head.

-No,I am not going to forget that nor am I going to invoke that agreement again...

Hearing these words scar's facial expression immediately shattered as she looked anxious and scared for a second her change of facial expression only served to make me smile since I wasn't yet finished with me sentence.

-...instead I want to make a different agreement with you one that suits both of us a bit more better then the previous

-And that is ?

Scar asked,confused and also a bit anxious,but at the same time glad.

-The agreement this time will be the same as the previous one,but instead of giving you gold...I will help you get mother back so how about it ?

I asked showing her another confident smile as I stretched my hand out to her,my words seemed to have literally shocked her as she stood there frozen staring at my hand as if she was seeing things shuddering for a moment of consideration even hesitating a bit.

-Your....your insane do you understand that he is the crown prince ? Even though I know your strong I don't think you are that strong to be able to fight against the royalty on top of that they are all dragons and you are simply a human mage...

She said incredibly discouraged and doubtful about my offer,but I didn't wasn't discouraged nor did I feel any fear against the royalty that were all dragons even the emperor himself wouldn't be able to make me yield no matter what after all he was also a person I would eventually meet even if I wanted to or not so why not help her on the way too ?

-Scar,you aren't the only person here who I want to help,there is another reason for me to come here another friend needing my help or at least thats what I think she needs right now...

Through my context of words scar's eyes instantly dimmed with small amount of fear her mouth move quick as she asked me.

-Is that person...the princess ? If so do you love her ?

My eyes got wide at her questions...I wasn't very surprised by her figuring out that it was sera,but what did surprise me was her second question which seemed to have very little relevance if you ask me.

-Yes,it is in fact sera and no,I don't love her I was send to help her which is why I want to go to that tournament and see for myself for what I can do,which is why either way I will go against that imperial family no matter what so I figured that I might as well help you too on the way...so will you help me or not ?

Hearing my resolute answer,scar sighed out of relieve her tension though was still in the air as she struggled with what to do her eyes constantly shifting between my open hand and my eyes finally sighing in a defeated manner as she took my hand strongly shaking it.

-I..I can't stand here and follow empty promises forever I can't live without having back my family so I agree and bind myself to this agreement even if it is impossible I still want to try

She was determined and her answer seemed resolute as she stared at me directly without skipping a beat.

Her answer was a good one too...and who said it was impossible ?
