《Nomad Dungeon》Chapter 6 - First Contact

I started with the dungeon augmentation.
I form a room in the ceiling of my dungeon, connected it, then store my core in this room.
New room, 1 meter by 1 meter is 100 DP and the path that is no more than 1 meter is 10 DP.
I went into the monster section and birthed an Earth Slime.
The cost was cheap, only 10 DP for the base form.
I ordered this slime to cover the hole in the ceiling leading to my core.
And just confirmed whether I can still breath or not.
...
...
Mr.Tutorial, is there anything wrong with me at the moment?
----
So currently this is effective in hiding my core with no negative side effects.
I birthed a new monster to obtain outside vision. The Eye-Bat.
50 DP for the base form.
It's strange, although I am connected to this eye-bat. It can move perfectly like an actual Bat.
It executes my orders perfectly and camps outside the dungeon to keep a lookout, It's almost like a machine.
...Machine?
----
hmm...
I look through the monster section and found it.
Just inside the golem section.
...wow, a lot of these are incredible, they can do all kinds of amazing things.
However, I don't have enough DP to purchase one without interfering with my plan.
My goal currently is to get as much DP as possible to purchase a sub-core monster.
Everything is in place, perfect, now all I need to do is wait.
...
Days, even weeks begin passing and my income grows along with the passing days.
Only small animals have ever entered my eye-bat's Vision.
But I really don't have any other choice than to wait.
I want to avoid attention as much as possible until I have some means of survival.
...
a Month has passed since my birth, I think.

----
Well, the only way to keep track for me, for now, is checking my DP, or asking Mr.Tutorial.
[Current Amount: 17,446 DP]
Mr.Tutorial, how much longer do I have to wait until I have at least 150,000DP?
----
That's quite long, and I don't know how much longer until people find this place.
But experiencing random blackouts rather odd.
The eye-bat doesn't need to eat at all.
----
That does explain how the bat is able to survive without eating, but what about my random blackouts?
----
Isn't this a bit dangerous?
----
Can I set a sort of alarm?
----
So I just need to ask you?
----
Then why can't even the 4 great dungeons do this?
----
Alright, can you get me when the eye-bat spots someone, or when 23 days pass?
----
Then let's start sleeping...
...
...

NEWDIE STEADSLAW Part I
NEWDIE STEADSLAW is a randomized array of Chekhov's red herrings, non sequitors ex machina, run-on sentences, and em dashes—so many em dashes. It's like if the Bible and Shakespeare had a baby that they surrendered to foster care, then it got adopted by Alice in Wonderland and Dr. Seuss—the books, not the people—and then the baby fell down the stairs. In this metaphor, the stairs wrote the story. Part I is the tale of the adventures of Traycup and Roby as they try to hold down a job inside the hollow Earth—a place made possible thanks to the secret science of embargoed relativity—and they get distracted by dancing foxes, a giant's record collection, and something with a train, I think. It's a work of fiction—although to call it work seems insulting to, y'know, actual work—but the fiction label is apt, so, y'know, that's a win. Half the words are made up, and the other half are embarrassed to be seen with them. Part I is complete.

A Will to Recognize
What do you think it takes to live? Is it strength? Power? Magic? Unparalleled intelligence? Or are they all mere accessories to the fact that life is irrelevant? Do you have what it takes to bear the burden of life? Does life even matter? I don't know, and to be frank, I am somehow alive; I was even able to function in society at one point. It frightens me to think no one else knows our purpose: not our parents, friends, or mentors. And I can't bring myself to surrender to any religion. But I do have a direction. A goal, one might say. My wish is to one day shout on top of the highest mountains, "Life doesn't frighten me!" But that won't happen. Because I died a long time ago. ... You're still here? That? Oh it was all in the script. You didn't think I'd actually say that cringey stuff, did you? ~Daniel
