《Nomad Dungeon》Chapter 18 - D-rank Comes
Advertisement
Its been a month or so, and my Daily Income has recovered to 1%, but what I'm most concern with is...
"What's with this place, It's just sickening"
"I know right, It's like this place was built specifically to annoy people, is this really a dungeon?"
"Well recently there have been people who succeeded in building artificial dungeon due to the declining rate of existing Dungeons"
There are a lot of F and E ranks camping at the in the entrance.
They have been here for a while, trying to proceed, they have crawled all over both endless corridors, even learning of its loop.
Finding the way into the next rooms.
The freezer down below and the sauna up above filled with riddles and questions, viscous liquids traps, helium gases and all kinds of non-lethal traps.
Frankly, these next two rooms are just there to annoy the hell out of everyone who tries to cross it.
Confusing riddles and questions, with traps that do you no harm other than harassment.
But with so many working together, made me think that they might break through within a month's time.
This thought in itself is horrifying.
But this went up in smoke as they haven't even completed the first Riddle.
it's a simple riddle, 4 legs at dawn, 2 legs at day and 3 legs at dusk, what is it?.
With the method of answering it using voice, but to get to this riddle they have to pass through unavoidable traps.
And every time it's a wrong answer, they get sent back to the start. via giant pitfall trap in the room.
But this is for the upper levels
The lower levels first riddles is the same, but it floods the place with viscous liquids, forcing them back to the start.
As a result, I have been relaxing here with DP stocking up quite a bit, horrifyingly so, as its already nearing 20,000DP.

With each E-Rank giving me an average of 150DP per day while the F-Ranks are around 50DP per day.
There is not really a need for any surveillance so far, due to this number, and they might notice so I had the Weaver Spider's pull its thread back, and I ended up feeding it with food purchased from the Item Catalog.
I even ask Mr.Tutorial to notify me if they ever pass the first riddle.
But so far there hasn't been any.
I waited for another month and people even began growing tired of this place and just straight up left.
While the others have yet to complete the first riddle.
Newcomers still appear but no one ever completed this riddle.
Another month past more came and more left, and my stock is now well over 60,00DP.
Daily Income recovered is still stuck at 1%, Its horrible.
Not sure if any other adventurers come or not, in the meantime I expanded my dungeon by another floor above and below, creating another set of harassment and annoyances.
I held back as much as possible but I still ended up spending 10,000DP in my crazed dungeon state.
It did get me thinking why it didn't occur to me during the tutorial, but Mr.Tutorial suspects its due to these inherent memories.
I didn't think much after that, just having this knowledge is aiding my survival a lot currently so I'm fine with it.
Another month passed and now he arrived...
A D-Rank arrived.
Although not as bad as with that elf, the pressure I feel from him makes it feel like its gotten heavier.
He first starts gathering information from everyone that's here and begins heading into the path heading up.
He easily passed the through the endless corridors.
Even easily made his way to the first riddle.

Now, will he be able to solve it?
hmm? he starts chanting, wait he's getting into battle position.
Does he mean to destroy the riddle gate?
Wait, Wait Wait!
----
What if its that Elf?
----
----
That's a relief, ah he also unleashed his attack, and like Mr.Tutorial said, he didn't even make a dent in the gate.
After attacking, he falls into thought, he then tries answering this riddle, and he failed to answer it.
This process repeated itself quite a bit until he tried the other path down below which ended the same way.
But how do I say this, he seemed no different compared to other F and E ranks. I could only utter these words in thought, how disappointing.

The book of forever
An experimental diary of sorts recounting my life and experiences, written as a slightly whimsical scifi story about setting off from the past to unknown lands, rebuilding from nothing and finding myself again. The first section of the book contains matched chapters, a chapter for a interlude, both happening at the same time roughly The second section of the book contains more one off stories as we follow one of the travelers explore their heart as well as a unknown land, growing in the process. All of the text here was written in 10 syllable chunks, this reads like a epic of sorts, just with more philosophical focus and POV jumps. Hope you enjoy! >Updates may be sporadic as I only write when I have something about myself I want to share The chapters can all be read individually, although there may be some crossovers between them they work as single poems. You start at whatever chapter you want since these are a collection of roughly connected poems (although you'll notice tie ins and references to eachother)
