《Rain Revert》Chapter 28: [ That's why I'm sorry... ]

After their passionate time, the wave gradually fades away; Rain moved and gently embraces Lafetti in his arms.
His warm and big hand gently caress her belly, which Lafetti couldn’t help but groaned happily. It feels like he is giving her a massage which is particularly comfortable.
He rests his cheek on her neck so he is breathing into her earlobe. After a while, his hands start to misbehave and wander around her body. He calls out softly in a slightly hoarse voice: “Lafetti.”
While grabbing his hand and squeezed it, She answers: “Hm?”
“I can feel several hungry wolves eyeing me, what should I do?” Rain teasingly asked. Even now, he can still feel the hungry-like stares of his surroundings. Well, even they jumped on him at this moment, he was already spent.
“Then don’t separate from me,” Lafetti answered with a satisfied smile. “They won’t attack you if you’re with me,”
“Who’s fault do you think it is?”
Lafetti snorted and arched her back, sticking to Rain’s body as much as she could.
... ...
... ...
The group was finally on their way back to the tribe.
Though Zarda was still unconscious but since this was regarded as normal, everything went better than everyone expected.
They had emerged victorious and most importantly, no casualties. They had also managed to gather many good materials and foods…
As Rain was walking side by side with Lafetti, the cage that was imprisoning the Ant Queen happened to bypass them.
Seeing this, the gloomy Ant Queen who felt depressed from being treated like a prisoner finally regained her energy upon seeing Rain. She had already heralded Rain as her one and only chance of survival.
“Hey, hey!” She happily called out.
The moment she did, she can feel the burning gaze of those around her. And even Lafetti was sending her a death glare.
She was suddenly startled.
Is this normal?
How can these monsters be so protective to a single mere human? It’s too shocking and strange.
“You need something?” Rain asked softly.
“How is a human like you inside this place? And why are you with the Lamians? Did they kidnap you?” The Ant Queen asked curiously. Looking at Rain, she seems to be trying to see through him.

“Kyaaa!!”
However, what answered her was a sharp pointed spear from two directions.
Fortunately, she managed to notice them at the right moment and safely avoided it, if not she would really become a skewered Kebab!
“Don’t say unnecessary things or else I will kill you, you damn maggot!” The Lamias who was guarding her cage said in a threatening manner.
“Hii!” The Ant Queen immediately crawled back in fear.
“Of course not,” At this moment, Rain answered with a faint smile.
“Of course at first, I wanted to immediately escape from this place, after all, it was extremely dangerous here… monsters everywhere, always trying to make a sushi out of me. However, when I met Lafetti and the others, I think it’s not that bad to spend my days with them." Rain grinned.
"... And of course, I wasn't kidnaped nor was I forcefully dragged into this kind of place either… I stayed with them caused they are good people and besides, I love Lafetti…”
Rain explained patiently as he grabbed Lafetti’s hand and gives it a squeeze.
Rain’s answer delighted the other Lamias to the point that almost all of them suddenly smiled, like blooming flowers in the middle of a beautiful garden. At first, they were annoyed with the Ant Queen, this Damn B*tch!! Saying unnecessary things, what would happen if Rain had a change of mind?
They really wanted to rush and burn her while being skewered by wooden stakes. But now, they seem to not mind at all.
They continued walking while feeling delighted, waving their soft looking waists like they were on a fashion show, making men who saw it arc their back in embarrassment, trying to hide something under.
Obviously, the one who was the happiest was none other than Lafetti who held Rain’s hand extremely tight, as if afraid of letting go. She still held her poker face but if one looks closely, the corner of her lips was somehow rising in an arc.
She felt proud and sweet – that’s right. Rain loves her so of course, he wouldn’t care to stay with her and that means he wouldn’t leave her…
Rain was hers, no matter what happened, he is hers!!

He would never leave her just like those relationships before hers – no, she wouldn’t let what happened to them will also happen to her!
Rain can quench her thirst in this dried and dreary land, he was her paradise in this scorching hell-like place… no matter what happened, she will never let go of the water she had finally found and dreamt for a long, long time in this desert place!
Naturally, she wasn’t the only who had thought about that. All those in the tribe treat Rain as some sort of treasure – a priceless treasure that no amount of gold and silver can be bought.
They could kill and massacre those who wanted to steal him away from them!!
It was once only Zarda’s intention and although she had already briefed them about it - Still, they were skeptical before. But now, after being with him for a long time already, they had changed their minds. That mission that was treated as a tribe’s duty has now become a personal mission…
They needed a man that would accept them whatever they are and didn’t have even the smallest amount of prejudice against them, mentally, spiritually, physically – and most of all sexually!
Having Rain make them looked like normal people, satisfying their own egos and self-satisfaction.
Yeah, indeed Rain was their slave – Though a different kind of slave. They owned him and they would never let him escaped from their grasp.
If possible, they would have already jumped him and made love to him, marking him as their own. However, Lafetti was still quite reluctant to share so they wouldn’t push her, in any case, there’s no need for haste, Rain was theirs and will always be.
“A human like you love a monster… pfft,” The Ant Queen endured her urge to laugh upon hearing Rain’s answer, however, upon seeing and feeling the cold icy glare directed her, she instantly paled and didn’t dare to laugh…
For hell’s sake, these Lamians are extremely overprotective!! The Ant Queen snarled inwardly.
“Hey,” She called out to him again.
“Hm?” Rain turned his head and patiently paid her some attention – she must have been bored in that cage…
“So you don’t hate me, is that it?” The Ant Queen asked with a mischievous smile.
“Not really,” Rain shrugged. “As long as you don’t hurt them and of course, me, I don’t have any reason to hate you…”
Hate or Like... he wasn't really interested in her either...
The Ant Queen’s eyes sparkled with happiness and hope.
“Then, can you tell them to free me? I promise I won’t do anything bad again, nor would I think of doing it… please,” The Ant Queen plead. She was quite beautiful, to begin with, though with her eyes being compounded like that, it looked strange but the structure and features of her face were very beautiful…
However, Rain shook his head without any hesitation. “Nope,”
“Why?” The Ant Queen was enraged. Her hope plummeted to the ground.
“Well, even if you are sincere or not, I won’t do anything since the decision can only be made by the Tribe… though I really like to free you, I can’t put any decision on behalf of the tribe… I don’t own them…”
“But you can at least put a good word for me… I’m certain that they will listen to you!!”
“I can try but, other than that, I wouldn’t do anything…” Rain’s amiable expression suddenly turned serious. “I don’t want to put the whole tribe in a precarious situation nor would I create a hidden danger that might hurt the people I love just for my own stupidity and naivety…”
He was naïve, he admitted that but he was not foolish enough to trust someone’s words wholeheartedly, giving the people around him an unknown danger, without thinking about it.
He rather be cruel and evil than make a mistake that can harm the people he loves.
Be kind as much as you want... however, if his life and his family's safety was on the formula of kindness and danger, he would surely choose a solution that can save his life and his family first...

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
