Marcus looked, kind of okay. He looked a bit pale, he had bags under his eyes, and he looked like he hadn't eaten for a few weeks, but he was moving. It was a bit surprising to see him like that, he had only been knocked out a little while ago, and he was sleeping for most of it. When he spoke both Lily and I were surprised, but she quickly slipped out of my arms, ran over to his bed, and punched him in the arm. I think it was a gentle punch, but Marcus still winced when she hit him.
"You're not supposed to spy on girls while they're crying, you jerk." Her voice sounded upset, but there was a huge smile on her face.
"Well, maybe you shouldn't cry in front of me, I see all, I am Marcus the..." He tried to sit up and do his usually boisterous voice, but started violently coughing instead.
"Hey, stop talking if you're going to cough like that. Why are you always such an idiot?" She pushed him back down in the bed. "Just rest, you can show off later. Also, we were not crying about you. So, do not get a big head."
Marcus gave her a funny look, but decided to avoid speaking. He just patted her head, which was just about the right height for him to rest his hand on. She didn't seem too upset about that, so he moved his hand to wipe away her tears.
I felt a little left out, so I quickly wiped my face and and started playing with the blue pyramid thing. It was surprisingly light, almost like it was made out of foam, but it felt hard. It felt like I was touching some polished stone, but I could easily toss it in the air.
By the time I was bored with the pyramid, Marcus and Lily were holding hands, and Lily was sitting beside Marcus on the bed. I felt like they didn't even remember I was in the room. Not that they were doing anything weird, but it was like they were lost in their own little world.

I started to feel a little awkward, like I was intruding on something so I went to the door, "Guys, I'm going to let them know he's awake."
They both kind of acknowledged me, but they weren't really paying attention. I stood in the hallway a few minutes, not sure exactly where I wanted to go, just that I wanted to get out of that room. It wasn't too long before one of the assistant guys came down the hallway. He was carrying a couple of blankets.
"Hello, what are you doing out here?"
"It was getting uncomfortable in there, so I left." I shrugged my shoulders.
"Oh, I was just about to check on you three. I saw you were all sleeping so I brought some blankets."
"Ah, well, we're all awake now."
"Even the male that was with you?" He looked excited.
"Yeah, though I wouldn't go in there right now. They were lost in their own little world."
He looked confused for a moment, then he got a dirty look on his face, "Oh, well in that case we don't want to disturb them, do we?"
"Why is that a question?"
"It just came out that way, I don't want to... Well. Want a blanket?" His face was bright red.
"Sure I'll take a blanket, and do you know where I could get some food?" I was starting to get hungry again.
He handed me a blanket, "What are you going to do with a blanket?"
"Wear it." I unfolded it by dropping it while holding on to one edge, and tried to flip it around my back like a cape, but it hit the wall and didn't look as cool as I planned. "So what about food?"
He laughed, "I'll let someone know that you're hungry. If you want to wait somewhere I can take you to a different room. We can get you some food there."

"Fine."
He brought me back to the conference room that we were in before and told me to wait for the food to get there. After he left I realized that I probably looked like a glutton to them. All I did was sleep and ask for food. Though I guess I did break their machine, and kill a bunch of zombies, so I obviously worked up an appetite. Magic is hard work. Kind of. I really needed to get to know these people better, I really only met a few of them, and I only knew two names. There was Oshac, and... The doctor. I started laughing to myself. Apparently I only knew one name, and whoever the doctor was. I tried to remember anyone else, but I hadn't really cared about the people the last time I was here. I thought they were just background in a game, so they weren't important. Now that we knew they were real I felt bad. I wanted to actually pay attention to them, and yet, I completely forgot to ask the blanket man his name. I wasn't good at the whole name thing.
The door openned, "You ordered some food?" It was the blanket man.
"Yes! Thank you."
He brought a tray with a couple different plates on it, and after he set the tray down he took one off for himself.
"I wasn't sure what you'd like to eat, so I just made two plates wtih what I like, and hoped you'd agree." He started eating.
My plate had a nice balanced meal. It was some kind of steak, with some green stuff that looked kind of like peas, but more egg shaped. The steak looked kind of like normal beef steak from earth, but it had more of a round texture. When you try to cut normal steak it usually has a direction that it cuts better, and a direction that it's harder to cut. This steak was easy to cut in all directions. On top of that, it was very tender and practically fell apart in my mouth. I didn't even have to cut it. It was a little different than the original meal I had in ths world. The meat from that was a little tougher, and reminded me of Earth steak. The flavor was even good. It was a little unique, but I liked the flavor. It was almost like a spicy barbeque sauce.
"This is really good."
"Really? It's just the cheap steak from the cafetiera. It's from the magiculture department." He noticed my confused look, "So it's not even from real animals."
"Wait, you magically make food?" I looked at my steak suspiciously.
"Yes, it's a little difficult to produce all our food from farms, so as a cheap solution we magically create what we need. Rich people eat the real stuff, but for the rest of us, we have the cheap stuff."
"But this tastes so good, why would you spend more to eat something that isn't as good?"
"You think this tastes better? There's no flavor at all." He poked his steak with his fork.
"But it has amazing flavor. Like nothing I've ever tasted before." I tried another piece just to be sure, and it still had flavor.
"I'll just say it's because you're a dragon, and have a messed up sense of taste."
"Pft, maybe I have superior tastes. You just don't know how to enjoy the finer things of life."
He laughed, but before he could say anything the doctor walked in followed by Marcus and Lily.
"Now that we have everyone together again, let us continue our discussion of the energy."
