Otherwise I did like the story and I might return to it one day (Please don't wait coz I'm not sure I will), its just that right now I feel like I bit off more than I could chew with this story. Writing about battles from a tacticians view instead of getting into the middle of the nitty gritty parts of a fight kind of came off as boring to write for me. Maybe I just didn't do it right and I'll find a way to portray it better in the future and I might return to this story, but right now it all felt flat and cold when I was trying to write this chapter and I don't want to release a chapter I'm not happy with.
So again, I'm really sorry to anyone who liked the story, sorry to dissapoint, but I don't want to force myself to write a story I don't enjoy writing and then have it go bad. Instead I am thinking about starting a different story (not sure how soon), something more centered about fighting, magic, romance etc, so standard RR stuff, nothing new and out of the box, but something that I would enjoy writing more. Not that I minded writing the slow start and pace of this story, but just where this was headed wasn't something I looked forward to writing about.
This was my first attempt at writing a story and I know its frustrating when an author drops a story so I am really really sorry to anyone who liked it. I know a lot in the story hasn't been explained yet but I don't want say anything here in case I do return to the story, but if anyone really wants certain things explained or is curious about where the story was going, feel free to PM me and ask.
