《Cursed Anti-Hero Against the Gods》Ch 2 Abyss of the Dying Gods

Within the Void I was moving at extreme speeds towards a small light that I could only assume was the supposed world of reincarnation. Then to my dismay, I heard again what only could sound like a game message that said the following.
[God of Crossroads and Destinies Curse activated]
[God of Fortunes Curse activated]
My spirit body shifted without my consent in a direction diagonal towards the right of the light. There was nothing I could do, the Void was soundless and all I could see was that one small light. Because it was game-like, for whatever reason or another, maybe from the stories I read and I had nothing else to do, I said status. Appearing before me, was many question marks for things like strength, name, class, etc. That is understandable due to my situation. But under the area for [Abnormal Statuses] there were ten curses, then like on the internet a little information button was at the bottom right of each curse. As I don't have hands, I tried to will all of them to show their contents. Ten definitions appeared before me and reading each one made my heart sink further and further into depression. I couldn't even kill myself because I was already dead!
[Abnormal Statuses]
[Space/Time Gods Curse] All experience required to level anything is doubled, your space is affected by a field of gravity that increases in weight as you level.
[God of Crafts and Cooking Curse] Anything you attempt to make shall be of almost unusable quality or taste as rotten as possible.
[Curse of the Love Goddess] Virtually impossible for anyone to love you, all interactions with anyone will make them wary towards you at the first.
[Magic Goddess Curse] All magic will have a high chance to backlash or fail. (Cannot affect death magic or void magic)
[God of Lights Curse] Affinity with the light attribute is drastically decreased, cannot use holy (light) magic. Anyone from the church will feel wary towards you. Spells that heal you or remove abnormal statuses have a 65% chance to fail.
[God of Fortunes Curse] Your luck shall instead hinder you.
[God of Crossroads Curse] You shall get lost and more often than not end up in places you didn’t expect (affected by luck)
[Life Goddess Curse] You take 25% more damage. People sense hardly any signs of life from you and will think you are close to death.
[God of Medicines Curse] Potions and elixirs, or any kind of medicine will have only 40% effectiveness. Your body will be like a poison to itself and be in pain. Pain increases the more you level.
[God of Literature, Music and Knowledge’s Curse] You will always suffer from not being able to understand others culture and be shunned for it. You can't write, hear or attempt to play music. You will remember anything and everything but not necessarily understand it which will cause head pains from not being able to forget or stop thinking about. Pain increases the more you level.
These are some of the worst possible outcomes! How am I supposed to live a quiet life and settle down with a wife! Honestly, I already was murdered once and I want to just avoid conflict, but how am I supposed to live like this when I am reborn as a kid, my parents will probably abandon me due to that infernal Love Goddess! And they said for an eterinity too so no matter how many times I die, will I always be cursed?
In a state of mental panic, I was hysterical until when finally calmed down after what seemed like hours later, I looked at the curses again and I noticed a loophole for two things, at least I thought so. First, what if I just didn't make an attempt at understanding the culture of this world and secondly, it didn't appear that there was any curse for combat aside from magic, so if I just learned to use a weapon and avoid magic, I should be ok as a solo adventurer collecting herbs for just enough money to live.

Finally after what seemed like days of travelling, ahead of me, I saw appear before me a black door, the complete opposite of what happened with the original white door, and a sense of foreboding arose within me. Still not able to control my spirit body, I went flying through the door and it slammed shut behind me. Finally, my spirit body slowed down and I landed within the entrance of what I could only call a crypt or tomb.
There was a long path leading down, with nowhere else to go I floated along the path, only to be scared out of my mind at a what I can venture to imagine is an undead king as it had a crown and something that looked like a mages staff. Around it, was rows upon rows of undead soldiers and beasts. Finally mustering up what little courage I had, I tried to float past them, then I accidentally bumped into one of the undead beasts that looked like a mix of a bear body, snake head, and wings of some type of hawk, it looked utterly horrendous, but apparently since my luck couldn't get any worse since I was already in a place probably not even an army would come to, it didn't react to me, probably because I was also dead. With that new knowledge I moved a little quicker past them, just a little though.
The crypt, had many walls filled with dead bodies and they didn't just include humans, there were many races I never even heard of, not even in fantasy stories. Everything looked to be made of black stone or i'm guessing something like obsidian but of course this isn't Earth so I don't know. After what seemed like a day of travelling, although i'm guessing time and space is warped here, I finally found another black door, that was slightly open. Upon further inspection, I peered inside when an unknown force dragged me within the door and it shut. Many torches with different colored flames sparked and in front of me appeared the body of a massive black dragon that had to be close to a hundred meters in length. Yes, the room was thatnig to contain it, almost like the fighting ring of the coliseum from Earth, butmuch larger,Next to it was a large table, with a heart on it still beating, an orb with purple mist and what looked like a large vial of blood.
"Welcome to the Abyss of the Dying Gods young spirit, oh how you must have horrible luck to come here, in fact I can sense that the ten little gods messed with you a bunch didn't they, I can sense seething hatred within you for revenge. And how do I know that? That is because I am the Evil God, I can sense all of your darkest thoughts, desires and the divine power of other gods. Now then, come let us have a chat, us gods, and you the little spirit who had his destiny screwed with by those children that fancy themselves true gods"

Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder
I, Mick Chadwick, regret to inform my readers that this memoir contains nothing but the truth, which in the case of Tobias MacClain, most ridiculed as Pajama Boy, is far from pleasant. If you seek to relate to a hero more than to aspire to them and have the stomach for unpleasant things such as a hero left for dead, villainous scars, bomb threats, and murderous intent, then look no further. All of these gruesome things and more await from my research, and though I do not wish them on any man or woman, I cannot bear this burden on my own much longer. In the words of Tobias MacClain himself, "Sometimes, a villainous act can cause the greatest good." I hope that all my villainous acts of sneaking, blackmailing, diary-reading, and grave-digging, among others, will be redeemed as I present this complete and truthful memoir to the world, and with any luck, open eyes to the truth of what we call "villainy". Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder ********* MATURE FILTER IS FOR:- violence- graphic imagery (blood, burns, fairly dark headspaces)- cartoon depiction of burn scars for visual aid Despite graphics, Mick Chadwick's writing keeps Mr. MacClain's terrible tale light somehow. This is foremostly a comedy.
