Much to Fuk's dismay while he was grilling the meat, they sat on the picnic cloth, seemingly weren't enjoying the bbq party. What was most annoying was that his manager, John joining with their circle and almost immediately ate whatever Fuk brought to them.
Weirdly enough, John was the only one that truly enjoying this barbeque, he barked the inappropriate dad jokes and most of the other attendant turned their head and forcing their laugh and smile. Though... from among them one person, Dominique sincerely laughed at John jokes.
With a grin, he replied John dad jokes with his chemistry pun, then others would laugh, then John would reply and others would laugh again then Fuk brought the foods and went back to the grill.
In this regard, Fuk felt rewarded as he didn't need to hear all of their jokes, though constantly feeling the heat from the furnace, it wasn't weird at all for him to gain Heat Resistance or Fire Resistance skill, and at around the time Fuk thought about this.
Congratulations! You have learned the passive skill Heat Resistance Lvl 1!
Alert! You have reached the skill limit. Spend 1 Renown point to increase the skill limit by 5!
Fuk nodded in satisfaction, finally knowing the purpose from Renown, though... he somewhat felt a little bit disappointed knowing that there was a limit on the number of skills he could get.
As he opened the screen, messaging Ellisar and the others, trying to gather more information about Renown, Saiko stood and came to Fuk. "...Hey." She spoke, which caused Fuk to stumble a little bit as she making the first conversation.

Fuk turning his head and lightly coughed. "Wait a moment, it isn't ready." Fuk said as he closing down the screen.
"...No...Can we speak for a minute?"
Hearing her offer, Fuk only shrugged his shoulder and replied. "Eh, sure. Something wrong?" He said as he studiously watched every corner on his meats.
Sighing, once again she opened her mouth and made a small whisper. "...In private."
Rolled his eyes, Fuk took a quick glance to the other. "Eh, I can't leave this place. Anyway, just talk, it isn't like the other will notice us."
Although hesitant, her mouth formed into a line and once again she spoke. "...Candidate?"
Hearing her word, one word to rule Fuk's attention, he rolled his wide opened eyes to her. He already thought about this when she slapped him but he just couldn't find the right word to ask her. Albeit a little bit surprised. "Yep."
At Fuk's word, her lip curled into a little smile. "...I see." And she just silently stood at his side.
A heavy silence settled over them, thicker than the uncomfortable jokes from the two middle-aged men. Their eyes glanced at each other in the fixed interval while trying to avoid catching other glances that passed by. Awkwardly facing the other, carefully watched a man shifted uncomfortably in his seat, others made their forced smile under the barrage of bad jokes, and even some tried to hold back their yawn.
"So... what do you want?." After a few minutes, Fuk spoke to the woman that only stood next to him, no reply, no remark, only silence.
"....Am I a bother?"
Fuk shook his head. "Not really... it's just weird, you know, like when you are ordering a pizza and they don't cut it? yep something like that."

"....I don't get it."
"Eh, forget it."
Putting the meat onto the plate, Fuk walked away. And honestly, he didn't think that Saiko would silently stand next to the grill, waited for him.
Giving her a weird look, Fuk continued grilling another meat and once again. "...So...what do you want?"
"....Am I a bother?"
Twitching his eyes, feeling that he just experiencing a deja vu. "Not really... *Sigh* Alright, alright... let's try something else, how about the food? is it great?"
Saiko nodded, though after their conversation got stopped once again she spoke. "...Is it fine to open the screen in front of everyone?"
"Oh... about that..."
Fuk briefly explained about everything that he knew and gathered, about the attributes affect, the list of class and their skills, exploiting the rule and et cetera. As he was explaining everything Saiko, holding her chin sometimes replied with a nod or small words such as 'I see' or 'I see' or 'I see' and '...so you're the one that changed its name.'
After finished Fuk asked. “Is this what you wanted to talk about? By the way, what's your class?"
Seemingly satisfied, her mouth curled up into a slightly big grin, and this time without hesitation she opened her status screen, showing Fuk her class and explaining everything that she knew.

"....My middle name, got a problem?"
"Oh... how about unique class? ah I mean a class that only has 1 Cp. have it?"
"....No."
Without thinking about it too much, Fuk dropped the rest of his question and continued to concentrate on his cooking while Saiko, stood right next to him, seemingly didn't want to hear another dry joke.

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y

Bleached Nightmare
500 years into the future, technological progress has stagnated. Wracked by a series of problems like climate change, lack of resources and the innate human lust for war, the geopolitical landscape of planet Earth is radically different, and quality of life is far from what it was in the past. While technical development and research into realistically feasible space travel has made leaps and bounds, this has come at the cost of a world that is reeling from centuries of technical stagnation in other aspects of life. The establishment of a mining colony on Mars has led to the discovery of a new, rare material called sarinium; though it is extremely tensile and durable, it has a very low melting point. The discovery of this metal leads to large mechanical infantry- dubbed 'Spirit Striders', they are six to ten meters tall and as famed for the pride they provide a nation as they are a lethally mobile heavy weapons platform. The story follows the character of Marilin, who must both figure the enigma that is her past, and what this means for her allegiances in the future. Despite her genetically physical frailty, she seeks to gain power through a vessel that will channel her wish to change the world- the Spirit Strider. --- I hope you all enjoy my work. This is a story that I began writing over four years ago in my beginning years of high school, and have cast aside unfinished in the past two years. Though it is not up to my current standards, I hope you all may find some enjoyment in it. Happy reading.
