I cant cast spells did i miss hear something ?

As mora was getting even more paler the more i was getting into the question i noticed that i must be making quite a face so at first

i tried to calm down a bit

Mora also seemed to talk a little more and started explaining the story about deldurians its pretty much like this.

300 years ago when the war of the 5 races ended at the time the first ever race of demons called deldurian appeared the demonic folk

thought that it was a good race and had high specs but in utter failure it turned out that the race was not good in anything other then

rune magic that used hand made runes to activate the result was that the deldurian race was shunned and looked down upon

when ranked up the only advantage in the race was that the stats would double nothing more it was also said that an elder

stone was once used to rank up.Now what a elder stone is i think its the stone that i used to rank up how the stone works is that

when you rank up and use the stone the power in the stone makes you change into the race that was absorbed into the stone

many powerful demon races use such a stone before they die to make their heirs like them but only powerful demons can do so

and absorb their souls into the stone.Another feature that he told me was the book that i have about the deldurians it seems

like when a elder stone is created another item will be created in the process its called the race book its the information about

the race that was absorbed into the stone but the book clearly stated that deldurians are good in offensive and illusion magic

so why cant i cast spells ?

-thats why the deldurians are looked down upon i thought you knew about it...

-mora i wanted to ask why i cant cast spells not about my race

-ohh sure i forgot thats easy its just that whenever a deldurian learns a spell they cant use it

I watch mora speaking the last lines from the spell but nothing happens i was confused i used mana perception to see if he was

doing something wrong but nothing his mana was clearly in his right hand but nothing is happening what the...

I was really confused so deldurians cant use magic but why do i even have skills to control mana at all ?

as i was thinking mora started talking

-you know damon do you even need spells or magic you are strong without them anyways and spells would probably just slow

you down when you chant it takes a while to chant and in the process you could get hit when something happens you know

He was right from my experience is that the magicians i fought so far mostly died because of their slow chanting time i would need to

chant and run while fighting and that would be really annoying maybe i should just choose a melee or ranged job class ?

No i want to learn magic what use is it if i cant use magic while being in this fantasy world i mean come on isnt magic like

everyones dream...

While thinking about it i say

With that mora and i prepared dinner mora is a really good cook he said that he doesnt go out much so he cooks in his

free time he also said that his skill in cooking is advanced i wasnt surprised seeing that i have crafting skills there must be some

utilitie skills also but in the whole conversation i couldnt get the subject about me not being able to use magic out of my head

The books from the cave !

There wasnt just one book from the cave that i got there was a whole shelf with it there must be some answers

I opened a portal and took out the entire table with the shelf i placed it at the edge of the room and took a book out

That night i was busy reading all of the books next day...

I have read all of the books in the shelf the books were about runes,scrolls,engraving and mana mastery i didnt get why those books

were their they all were instructional books for magic but the problem was i couldnt use it because i couldnt cast spells

mora already woke up it was 5:30 he is being very early that is good i asked him about runes why deldurians are good with runes

he said that he doesnt know either he also ones looked into the research and didnt find anything useful

I was getting tired i picked up albi from the table and put my hand on her fluffy hair she was still sleeping i wondered what she does

when she is not sleeping at all ?

I was still a little down because i couldnt use magic i was thinking about the deldurian book why it said that i would be good at

offensive and illusion magic even thought i couldnt cast any spells at all i took out the book from the void and looked at the first

page again it read the first page another 3 times to confirm the one sentence was deldurians are good rune magic it had something

to do with i am sure roar of deldurian must be something as well it was a great skill so this race must be good if it does have

such a strong skill and suddenly it hit me i shouted

-Mora !

-how do magic scrolls work ?

Mora had some question marks above his head of course i knew how scrolls worked i wanted to hear it from him to confirm

some stuff that i read from the book mora seemed to be very intelligent on top of it

-well scrolls they work like this you draw the magic circel and pour mana into the finished circel the circel must be draw right

if not then something bad will happen or it wont work

-okey then what is the difference between runic magic and scroll magic ?

-hmm scroll magic goes to the runic magic archive other then scrolls there are different magic types like ritual magic summoning

magic and teleportation as well they all are made using runes to make them work.

Runic magic is an archive to make other types of magic it can be combined with any other archive for a different result so another question

-what happens to the scroll when finished using ?

-the scroll cant be used anymore when used ones because its made on paper the runes will damage the paper in process on the spell

but when drawn on specific hard material the runes can stay and be used again

thats right now another question

-what happens if you draw the runes on your skin ?

-ehh...

Mora got pale he seemed to be misunderstanding things

-no wait mora i am not going to draw the runes on my skin its just that i want to know about it

mora sighed a sigh of relieve and said

-if you draw a magic circel on your hand and activated it then it is said that it will hurt a lot depending on what kind of

rune you drew on yourself it is also used in necromancy i believe

So that is out of question then what about ?

mora thought for a second and after 3 minutes he gave me an answer

-you can draw runes with your mana but they wont last long and on top of it runes drew by mana are almost unusable

-why ?

The book never said anything about mana runes so i dont know

-well i dont know from my knowledge runes made out of mana are really weak and often tend to be problematic and have a high rate

of failure

-why is that so ?

-runes made by mana are unstable someone who understands runes very good could make some use of it but i dont think
