Chapter 21 – Small regrets

“Ryo… Can you help me to keep all these soldiers? There are some that I personally knew, thus I would like to bury them if we ever go back to Kitaro village.” (Haibara)

“Sure… ” (Ryo)

After 2 minutes, all of the friendly corpse had disappeared but anyone could tell that there was a huge battle taken place at here. What left of it were probably the Wujiria soldiers that declared war on the Capital of Hiiro?

*Garhhhhh!!!*

We need reinforcement!!

*Buuuushsshshshh!!!*

Bits of the castle wall got destroyed by the meteor

“Damn they got a powerful mage inside!” (???)

Over 10 thousand arrows flew up to the air and slowly drop to the Capital of Hiiro

Meanwhile Ryo and the party were watching the destruction from afar

Ryo and Haibara look over the fight between two kingdoms while having a wide smile on their face while Reena were panicking and wanted to rush in to save her friend.

“Come on Ryo! Why is it that you and Haibara are happy about this!?” (Reena)

“Because Ryo is a devil fufufu” (Haibara)

“Hey… I got no excuse though” (Ryo)

“Keh… Then what about you? Haibara” (Reena)

“Her fetish…” (Ryo)

“…. Look at our position, what do you see” (Haibara)

Ryo swear that he saw Haibara had an annoyed look for a moment before she gave her reason.

“We are currently behind the enemy army?” (Reena)

“And?” (Haibara)

“???” (Reena)

“Sigh…… Fine … We came from Kitaro village thus it leads to the Capital of Hiiro from behind so now having the enemy in front of us, it shows that the Capital of Hiiro is being surrounded from all sides and being constantly bombarded” (Haibara)

“I am interested to know how they manage to hang on for more than 30 days” (Ryo)

“S-So we can’t help?” (Reena)

“Unless you want to get surrounded by all sides and get killed?” (Haibara)

“…………….” (Reena)

“But I might have an idea… We could kill the enemy magicians that were currently taking a break so that they will stop being constantly attack by the magic.” (Haibara)

“Okay?” (Reena)

“You still don’t get it don’t you? Ryo explain to her” (Haibara)

“Eh? …… This is my guess, but when in the formation where does all of the magicians stand?” (Ryo)

“Behind! Ohhh now I get it!” (Reena)

“….. Well I was merely talking about how our ally could counter back if their magician do not have to worry about creating defensive procedure but oh well.” (Haibara)

“Alright let’s go!” (Ryo)

“Ryo….. You are giving that creepy smile again… Why are you so happy about?” (Reena)

“Hahaha Well I’ve always wanted to engage in a war” (Ryo)

“?? Ouh…” (Reena)

‘Well telling you the real reason of getting 10 permanent stats points for every kill will not change anything…’ (Ryo)

“Alright here’s the plan, due to your current strength, both of you will engage from the back or more precisely within cover understand?” (Ryo)

“Yes” (Haibara)

“Ehhh?? Why!?” (Reena)

“Hmm…Reena you got the identification skill, so go check the enemy level by yourself. I assume they are either at the same level as yours or even higher” (Ryo)

After Reena check the enemy levels using the identification skill, she was speechless

“………… Some of the people in there have a level of 70 and higher while their troops is the same level as mine…” (Reena)

“Ouh … That’s interesting” (Ryo)

‘And here I thought the captains is the ones that is the same level as Reena and Haibara, I didn’t expect Wujiria Kingdom is this strong… Oh well time to get some points!’ (Ryo)

After they reached near the enemy magician, Ryo nodded to both Reena and Haibara. They planned before that Reena and Haibara will try to kill any magician or messenger that might escape from Ryo.

Being too strong has its weakness thus Ryo disguise himself with the same armour that the enemy have, most importantly the helmet.

Within a moment…

Gehh..

Garrhhh..

Guughh…

Pillsehhhh…..

Without anyone knew, more than 200 apprentice magicians were killed without the enemy vanguard knowledge.

Ryo were annoyed to the fact that the enemy were too weak to even not notice when all of their friends were killed without them noticing. It seem that there are only a few weak magicians placed at here, either to let the enemy thinks that they are weak or just to tell the Capital of Hiiro to give up as they were being surrounded.

“W-What happen here?!!?” (???)

It seems a messenger were about to tell the magician about the next bombard magic attack when he realize that all of the magician had died.

‘Nice timing, I should capture him’ (Ryo)

Appearing behind the messenger, Ryo try his best to knock the messenger unconscious as he really don’t want the weak, fragile messenger to drop dead just like that.

“Urgh…” (Messenger)

“Phew …” (Ryo)

Ryo carried the messenger back to Reena and Haibara that totally surprised them, as it wasn’t even 5 minutes before Ryo already came back. They didn’t even heard any magic being used and here Ryo already said that he finished his job.

“Ryo … are you serious?” (Reena)

Ryo slowly nod his head, calmly change the topic to tell Haibara to help him a bit with interrogating the messenger so that they know what the current situation is.

Meanwhile Reena, still doesn’t believe Ryo and gone to see the battle which made her regret her decision. Bodies were all over the place, it’s as if the magicians were killed by a rampaging monster, for example a dragon. As there were a lot of traces where you could see the ground were burn.

For the reason why it became like this…

Imagine what happen to a person that collided with a person that is running at the speed of light or even faster thus the result became like the spontaneous human combustion.

All of their hand and legs fell off from their body, their bodies were currently still burning. Looking at the situation, Reena vomit out her lunch. She felt dizzy, she slowly realize how powerful Ryo is and became a little bit scared because of it. She still can’t believe that she hang out with Ryo, reason suddenly pops up here and there to defend herself why she is still with Ryo. Ryo is her first male friend, he is someone strong and is able to protect people, and he has a big heart while lastly she love him…

She felt a little bit guilty for saying that Ryo is a dangerous person and slap herself while telling herself that Wujiria Kingdom is her enemy so do not pity the enemy. After nodding her head she went back to the Haibara to see a bad situation. Blood were spilling everywhere, they were a few pieces of human flesh here and there. She looked up to see Haibara were smiling looking at a person, no, that is the same messenger. Luckily she remembered the clothes that the person wear that was currently on the ground if not she thought it was somebody else.

His face was totally unrecognizable, he was totally naked, he had no fingers and Haibara currently is touching the man testicle, Reena quickly turned looking at Ryo to see him face palming himself while sighing a lot of times. Reena look relieved that it was not Ryo decision but Haibara herself.

“No no no I tell you, I tell you s-so stop stop stOOOOPPPP ARGHHHHHHHHGHGHSGH” (Messenger)

Apparently Haibara cut out one of the messenger testicle. After the messenger scream in pain, he quickly say out all of the things he knew so that he won’t get hurt anymore unfortunately rather than seeing a look of relief from Haibara, she looked disappointed that she got the information too easily thus she continued to torture the man.

Knowing the information from the messenger, Ryo pull Reena after telling Haibara that they are going back to help the Capital of Hiiro, Haibara just waved to them while she continues her torture.

“H-Hey Ryo …. Is it okay for Haibara to be with us?” (Reena)

Reena were shaking when slowly saying those sentence.

“……………………Sigh not sure myself, but I definitely can’t go back on my words… Hahaha she is good for something. Oh well but she definitely won’t hurt you Reena” (Ryo)

“A-Are you sure?” (Reena)

“Yes, but if she ever cross that line ………. Hahahaha” (Ryo)

Reena definitely doesn’t want to know what Ryo will do to Haibara if she cross the line, she had no idea why Ryo would let someone like that be close to him. Is it because he love her or is there some other reason. Ryo could just kill her and be done with it but he seems to just tolerate what she does.

‘Sigh that Haibara really need to find someone to let her rage flows, accumulating those rage is totally not good’ (Ryo)

Meanwhile Ryo were still in his carefree mode and doesn’t mind much of what Haibara were doing. A small part of him agrees having Haibara in the party as both him and Reena is a little too forgiving as he himself is not confident that he will be able to inflict those pain that Haibara had done to the messenger.

Ryo felt that he is too honest with himself thus that was the reason why he got looked down. That’s what exactly happen with the messenger and it made Haibara angry to the point that she took over the interrogation and force Ryo to just watch as she made the messenger apologize to Ryo for more than 2 minutes before she continue on with something else.

“W-What now?” (Reena)

“Hmm? From what the messenger said, they wanted to gather all of the magicians to the first gate. They probably meant the gate that is facing their kingdom, so the plan here is to eliminate all of those magician so that they couldn’t do anymore damage thus they would have no choice but to retreat. Alright lets…? Hmm what’s wrong?” (Ryo)

Reena pulled Ryo shirt from behind that caught his attention at the end.

“Urhmm… I know they are the enemy b-but … can you only kill when u need to… Can you do that? P-Please?” (Reena)

‘That face……….. So unfair…’ (Ryo)

“F-Fine….. Can I know the reason?” (Ryo)

“…….. Even though they are currently on the bad side we still don’t know whether they are really the ones that is bad. F-furthermore, they also got their own family back in their Kingdom…They are probably being force to attack…” (Reena)

“That’s …. Really a good reason……. Don’t tell me this is because of the influence from the books that you been reading before right?” (Ryo)

“……………….” (Reena)

Ryo could see Reena being surprise while having her mouth wide open.

Too tempting, Ryo approached Reena and kiss her while putting his tongue inside her mouth.

Reena were too late to get away as Ryo had already put his left hand behind her back and continue to kiss her for about 20 seconds before he finally let her go. Reena had a mix of emotions – embarrassing – frustration – happy, after being released she didn’t know what to do other than just looking down while having a red face and smokes appearing from her ears but after that she started beating Ryo with her punches and kicks that is not effective against Ryo. Knowing Ryo, he pretended to be hurt in order to stop Reena.

Even though she knew that Ryo was pretending she still stop as she felt a little guilt about beating Ryo just because he wanted to make her calm down and at the same time were happy that Ryo finally shows that he cares for her, they slowly continue to make a round trip to go the position that the messenger had said.

“Thanks….” (Reena)

“You are welcome… Do you want to kiss again?” (Ryo)

“N-No not now! …. L-later …..” (Reena)

“Eeehhhhhh….” (Ryo)

“S-Shhhut up! Come on let’s go!” (Reena)

“Okay!” (Ryo)
