-------------------------------
Cavaron went to the dungeon after receiving directions from the guards. After passing through the steel gates signifying the dungeon entrance, he figured he was in the right place after he found a trail of fresh blood on the floor. Following the trail, he went deeper into the dungeon until he arrived at what appears to be a torture room. Inside there were the assassin bound by chains on the wall, a torturer trying to get answers, and a magus casting healing spells whenever the assassin attempts suicide.
"Speak! Where are the others!?" the torturer yelled as he whipped the assassin.
*spit* The assassin just spat out blood at the torturer's face.
"Why you little..."
As the torturer brought out a hammer to break the assassin, he was stopped by Cavaron.
"Hold. I have a better idea to get answers." Cavaron said to the torturer.
Everybody else present in the room just looked at Cavaron as he ripped open the space and pulled something out.
It was a worm.
Cavaron faced the magus, "You, no matter what happens, keep healing him."
The magus just nodded in fear because Cavaron's voice and eyes were filled with evil.
Cavaron then approached the assassin, and the assassin spat out blood which Cavaron evaded easily then countered to knock out the assassin. When the assassin became unconscious, he placed the worm next to the ear and the worm entered the assassin's head.
A few seconds later, the assassin started to convulse and shake violently making the torturer smile and the magus shrink back in fear.
"Magus! Healing spells!" Cavaron commanded.
The magus frantically casted healing spells because of the scene before him.
The assassin, as he shook, started to drool uncontrollably. His eyes were rolling back and forth letting them see his iris and whites alternating crazily. Despite all this, the assassin was silent making it seem harsher than with the presence of screaming.

"Sir, do you have more of those worms?" the torturer asked Cavaron.
"Sorry, these worms are bred by me and only follow my commands." Cavaron replied.
"Oh... pity..." the torturer was saddened.
A few minutes later, the assassin lay still.
"Can you hear me?" Cavaron asked the assassin.
The assassin looked up peacefully at Cavaron and said, "Yes, master."
The other two were shocked at the change by the assassin.
Cavaron looked at them and said, "Neurax Worms. Little critters that control the host's mind aside from other functions."
The magus just ran away in disbelief from what Cavaron did. The torturer just smiled.
"Sir, does that mean we can get any and all information he has." the torturer asked.
The one who answered wasn't Cavaron but the assassin, "Yes, what do you wish to know?"
The torturer displayed a massive grin and proceeded to bombard the assassin with questions,
"How many more of you are out there?"
"We are still a thousand men strong."
"Who are your leaders?"
"Minister of Finance, Lipra, Minister of Agriculture, Tusco, General Ferngar, General Solon, and General Menger."
"Where are you hiding?"
"We are located in..."
And so on, and so forth.
After a fruitful night in the dungeon, Cavaron left and went back to his room while the torturer went to Ritna to deliver the information.
"Hnngg... ahh..." He stretched to relax himself. "Back to sleep... or not."
Cavaron went and followed after the torturer.
---
Meeting room.
After the torturer left the dungeon, he headed to the meeting room with some guards, and arrived fully armed.
"Your Highness." They greeted Ritna.
"Speak, why do you have guards with you?" Ritna commanded.
"Milady, we have gotten answers from the assassin earlier." the torturer replied and faced the ministers.

Sweat formed on the ministers' heads as they awaited the report.
"Milady, please grant me policing powers for tonight."
Ritna just stared at him for a while then granted authority.
"Thank you milady. Guards! Arrest Ministers Lipra and Tusco, and Generals Ferngar, Solon, and Menger! They are the leaders of those who rebel against our Queen!"
The guards rushed in and chaos ensued in the meeting room.
The ministers were duly arrested without resistance, but the generals were another matter. Wearing armor and having skills that were tested and hardened after so many years if battle, the ordinary guards had trouble putting the traitors down.
This was when Cavaron joined the fray and assassinated Generals Ferngar and Menger by decapitating their heads with each of his swords. Thus, leaving General Solon to fend for himself as guards surrounded him.
"General Solon, it would be in your best interest to surrender now." Ritna spoke.
Solon, eyes filled with hatred, faced Ritna. All of a sudden, he threw his sword at Ritna leaving others no time to block it. Of course, Cavaron didn't bother since the Barrier Ring activated and nullified the attack having Solon pale, and get ganged up and arrested afterwards.
Having brought the traitors out of the meeting room, Ritna faced Cavaron and thanked him.
"Sir Cavaron, thank you once more for your help."
"Eh, I'm used to these things. I witnessed them so much that others praise as some sort of prophet, which I'm not."
"Still, thank you."
Ritna approached Cavaron and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Instead of blushing, he just smiled and left Ritna to her work.
---
The next day.
In the throne room, a ceremony is taking place. Ritna is now being crowned as the Queen of Ladenras.
"Upon the presence of the first king, King Rotter Ladenras the First, and the first queen, Queen Lavinia Ladenras, may you be granted the wisdom needed to lead this country to a better future." A sage said, "From this day forth, you are now Queen Ritna Lavinia Ladenras."
'So that's how they inherit her name.' Cavaron thought as he witnessed the ceremony as he remembered his earlier question.
Applause erupted in the room as Ritna, or Queen Ritna, faced the people present.
"Glory to Her Majesty!"
"Glory to the Queen!"
"Glory to Ladenras!"
After the ceremony, Ritna called for Cavaron to discuss how the treaty will proceed and to smooth out the details.
"What do you think, sir Cavaron?" Ritna asked him about the treaty contents.
"Queen Ri--" said Cavaron as he got interrupted.
"Ritna. Just Ritna. No titles needed."
"Okay, Ritna. As for the treaty, I didn't expect you to put all that I've suggested in it."
"Well, for other concerns, we'll leave it for the future. For now, we must officially stop the war."
The two of them then prepared for the trek to Culverin's home territory.

Path of Divinity
The world has been assimilated by the Celestial Archives, a vast system designed to fight the forces that seek to destroy the universe. For most, it's a holy cause that rewards victory with stats, levels, and skills. For Hunter Gold, it's the start of a nightmare. Even in a system dominated by paths, he finds himself taking the road less traveled. This is a work in progress. Major editing will be done after the book is complete, so there will be egregious typos and parts that make no sense whatsoever. Please feel free to point any and all of these things out. Chapters WILL get edited, and that editing might break earlier chapters. I will attempt to keep readers apprised of all changes. As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated. This is kind of something fun I wanted to write after reading stories like The New World, System Apocalypse, and the Legend of Randidly Ghosthound. I don't know how serious I will be about this story, but I just want to try it out. I imagine that it will become a love child between Fable, Diablo, and Devil May Cry. Enjoy!
