Lilia and her team enter the Hall of Skill to take the test.
Upon entering, they spot an old woman with a velvet robe.
She walks towards them.
"Oh dear, you came to take the test?"
Lilia stepped forward.
"Yes. Are you the proctor?"
She asked.
"Yes... It seems my disciple, Lesc, was the one who tested you earlier?"
"Lesc? Ah, the young man in green robes."
Luisa remarked.
"Yes. That's him. Well then... Will you listen to the rules first?"
"Yes."
Lilia immediately agreed.
"Very well... The trial of skill vary from person to person. There are only three tries for each person to take it. If one person fails after three tries, all of you fail."
It was harsh yet simple rules.
"We understand."
However, every participant took ardurious training to prepare for this tournament. All of them are all well prepared and are the best of the best among their generation in the world.
Luisa, Aies, Seileen and Lilia went through vigorous training and were well prepared.
The only question is Serra.
To this, they did feel some doubt.
How well would someone who joined in on the spur of the moment do?
"Very well. Each member would be tested individually."
The old woman pointed behind her.
"Before we start, I'll introduce myself. I'm different from my disciple who didn't even give you his name. I am Relin. Now, behind me are five doors. In order, the first door is for support, the second and third door is for the rearguards, the fourth is for the vanguard while the last is for the captain."
She finished.
All five of them faced each other and gave a determined nod.
This second trial is notorious for seeing the highest amount of failed groups.

However, they won't fail.
They each head off to their respective trial and entered.
"Hm... I believe that these five will succeed."
Relin spoke.
In her time, she saw many groups.
Thus, she's confident in her eyes in determing who will pass and who will fail. And in her opinion, those four will succeed.
Indeed, four.
She couldn't see through that young man who was their support.
One way to tell would be to look in their eyes.
She gazed in their eyes closely.
She also gazed at that young man closely but failed to tell anything...
"Could that one be a senior who came to join in on the tournament for fun?"
She muttered to herself.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment!
