《The Blood Prince》Chapter 37

Chapter 37
Pufaros was a former soldier that had undergone many wars and tribulations. Since he had realized that his cover was already blown up, might as well eradicate this shith*le and go hiding for the time being. When he completes his mission successfully, surely ‘they’ wouldn’t forsake him…!
Idiots will always be idiots…!
Pufaros glanced at his minions and slowly walked around, surrounding the masked youth, Cian. They did it slowly as if they were afraid of being found out. They are really adorable…
The four people including Pufaros who was standing in front of him surrounded Cian.
Their eyes were bloodshot.
However, the masked prince who was being surrounded didn't do anything. He remained indifferent and callous.
To the boy, the four people surrounding him didn't seem to exist in his sight. He just looked up at the night sky that was cut into a long strip as he stood around looking like he was pondering about something.
“Your Highness, you can’t just say something like that so easily, you know…” Pufaros ‘kekeke’ laugh as he spread his arms wide. “Especially in this kind of place…” His expression scary and ugly to the point of disgust. He was extremely confident that he would be able to stay alive after tonight.
Really--such a dream was extremely humorous...
“… …”
“I don’t know how you are able to lead us into this kind of place but… if you think you can threaten us just because you are his highness the prince… you are dead wrong!” Pufaros laughed while looking at Cian condescendingly.
"..........Yeah, it really is enviable that one could assert it out."
But—Cian used a calm, yet indefensible tone of voice.
And shattered the glimmer of hope that Pufaros had.
"Thinking that you had already won before the fight had even started. Confident that you will be able to survive this night--really, how foolish, isn't it? But that sort of wish cannot be accomplished."
"—Wuh...."
"And, to say something worse—"
He walked forward and attacked(Verbally).
"You, the one before me—right here right now, I will say was the worst foolish man ever lived in this world."
—…………
Looking like he was trying hard to squeeze out words, Pufaros opened his mouth after the long silence.
"—Wh-Why.......would you think so? Do you really think that you can take on as alone? Aren't you overestimating yourself, your highness?!"
“He he he,” Cian, chuckled. But his eyes that can be seen through the mask were extremely cold. “Pufaros…ah, I decided. I shall bestow you enough despair that you won’t be able to curse at me!”
“…don’t mess with me! Was that supposed to be a threat? —” Pufaros frowned.
“… …” Cian shrugged.

“Hmph? As always, your highness is still arrogant!” One of the men who was surrounding Cian suddenly raised his right hand, a fiery light radiated and a fireball appeared on the palm of his hand.
The fireball grew several times bigger in a blink of an eye, reaching the size of a human head. The blazing light shined in the dark night, illuminating the surrounding.
“Why don’t you just die!!?” Booom! The fireball shot towards Cian.
Cian raised his head and stared at the incoming fireball…and raised his hand.
“Stupid! Do you think you can just tou—” The one who had launched a fireball tried saying something after seeing Cian’s casual action but in the next moment, his words were stuck in his throat. His expression paled and his eyes widened open.
The moment the fireball touched Cian’s hands, it stopped for a second before shooting towards the opposite direction, in which towards the one that cast it. There’s no magic, no mana fluctuation, just casual action. Like flipping the world, turning away the direction of something flying--the fireball's trajectory was changed towards the opposite direction in an instant!
“Aaahh!!” Seeing the incoming fireball, the man immediately rolled on the ground, trying to evade his fireballs. But he was just too late and some hit him, causing him to scream in agony!
Their comrade's voice seemed to have become a trigger and the three remaining people, including Pufaros who had summoned his great ax and then charged forward. “Damn it!! What the hell was that?!!”
“Ooohhhhhhh!”
Another man explosively started running toward Cian. However, Cian did not move from his spot. In fact, he did not even clench either fist. He kept his arms dangling at his sides, standing casually that he did not even use his legs to shift his center of gravity, and a smile split across his face.
BAM!
At this moment, the sound of a bone breaking could be heard from behind Cian.
Of course, that devastation didn't come from Cian’s body. The attacker who charged at his back with a long saber had his wrist broken. The reflection ability that was exerted onto the blade of the saber had caused the slender wrist holding it to break, as it had been unable to withstand that force.
“AAAHHHHH!!!”
Another man’s cry could be heard.
The man grabbed his hand as he rolled about on the dirty ground. It looked almost comical.
Cian’s [ Vector Body ] allows him to manipulate the vectors of matter and its related energy, like a certain scientific level 5 esper which was considered as the strongest in some certain Academy City, he possesses the same kind of power. This allows Cian to change the magnitude and direction of an object to maneuver it in the desired way, regardless of preexisting vectors.

Since nearly everything in existence has vectors, even in this magic world, manipulation of them can essentially grant the user an "Absolute Defense" that prevents Cian from harm, among many other possibilities.
Cian slightly tapped the heel of his foot on the ground as if he were tapping his foot to a rhythm.
In that instant, the ground below his feet exploded like he had stepped on a landmine.
A large amount of rock and gravel scattered in every direction and at close range, it was reminiscent of a shotgun blast.
“…!”
By the time Pufaros realized what was going on, it was too late. He immediately brought his great axe up to cover his face and over a dozen small stones of various sizes struck his body. Just when he thought his feet had been knocked from the ground due to the large shock, his entire body was forcefully blown back. He rolled along the ground before finally coming to a stop a few meters back.
“…hm weak, aren’t you?” said an unpleasant voice that sounded like pieces of rusted metal being scraped together.
The intense pain had disoriented Pufaros and he merely looked blankly in the direction of the voice completely forgetting to stand back up.
“… this is nowhere near enough to satiate my thirst, you know~,” Hearing Cian say it so happily, Pufaros narrowed his eyes. Fear and shock flashed dyed his expression.
What is going on…?!
Just what the heck is going on…!?
He couldn't understand what was happening anymore!
Cian glanced sideways and saw another man trying to stand up again. Snorting contemptuously, he stamped his feet and Baaang! a great roar tore at Pufaros ears, disorienting his thoughts. As expected, the ground debris that seemed to have been blasted by a hand grenade scattered. The pitiful man was surrounded by hard concrete and metal plates due to where they are--a close alley.
The scattered debris bounced like pinballs and struck the struggling man from multiple angles.
A scream resounded through the dimmed alley.
A liquid splattered in the darkness and the human silhouette spun like in an action movie. It seemed his arm had been taken out. And falling while spinning appeared to have wrenched the other hand.
Seeing Cian walking towards him, the man groaned pathetically as if he was begging for mercy. The way he crawled away looked like an ugly caterpillar. But was mercy even existed in the land of the Demons?
Cian looks down, disgusted. He placed his sole at the top of the man’s head as if he was going to stomp it.
“N, no, please…. please, forgi—”
He groaned as he muttered those words.
Hearing him, Cian sigh. “It’s useless—if I were you, I won’t ask for forgiveness. Die while resenting me as much as you want. You can blame this on your own~” spat out Cian. Ice cold voice devoid of any emotion came out from his throat. It's as if the voice has the power to freeze anyone who had heard of it. And the look of his eyes as he stared at the person underneath him was like someone looking not a person but a corpse--
Bang!
He stomped his foot mercilessly. In an instant, pieces of flesh scattered in the area. Blood burst and spread through the area, as a lump of flesh and bones flew out in every direction!
“G, gyaaaahhh, hhe, jeellm…” Unexpectedly, the demon was still alive even after all that. He was wriggling with blood puddle around him.
“O-ohffh…Bohhaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!?”
As expected of a demon, his vitality was quite impressive.
He was holding his mouth with his crushed hands, but they seemed to be pressing oddly deep into his face. Cian’s foot had blown off his lower jaw. If he had moved his hands, only his upper teeth would have been visible.
“… outrageous, if a normal human had received that kind of attack, his head would have already been torn apart…” Cian sneered. He raised his leg and bang! kicked the struggling demon, his body shooting towards a wall. His spine crushed.
Even if he was an immortal, surely he would have tasted what death likes…!
“Hm?” suddenly, he realized something warm had landed on his cheek.
Cian brought it into his mouth with his tongue and chewed it along with his saliva.
It tasted of meat.
“Ah hah.”
A laugh leaked out.
He was starting to enjoy himself.
He knew he could not stay, but he could not overcome the bursting feeling of release within him.
As he chewed the crunchy and juicy delicacy in his mouth. Appealing…
At that moment, one of the still able demons cried out “Monster!!” and shot magic at Cian.
Cian didn't know what kind of power it was that the stupid demon just lets out, but naturally, it was redirected; it was just that simple. In this world, where magic rules like a king, science would surely be a sight to see. Too bad, if they know what vector was or things such as distance, displacement, speed, acceleration, force, mass, momentum, energy, and many more, they might be able to think of counter--too bad, their brains are worst than an elementary student.
They know nothing of it and could only persist in using this useless desperate actions--
When magic and science meet--which will remained victorious...?
