V3 Chapter 64
What a powerful attack!
Hiding behind the thicket of leaves, Regina stared in astonishment at her master.
In her mind, out of all her peers, she had never met anyone as strong as him.
The Windwolves are a group of monsters that would even scare an Archmage or a Battle King to escape. Not only they are strong individually, but they also move in large packs. Thus, even if one can defeat a few of them, being surrounded without escape would be the end of anyone who dares to confront the pack.
Still, although she knows that both of her masters are very strong. But to think they can actually singlehandedly defeat these beasts. Perhaps, only the Prince and the Princess of the Godstone Kingdom who were hailed as Geniuses of a thousand generations can actually achieve the same feat.
After Cian finished killing the wolves around him, he immediately charged towards the other group.
Crackle! Crackle!
Lightning pulsed around him, and with one hit of his fist, caused a numbing sensation for the victim. Because of this, the Wind Wolves prided swift speed, and prided agility started to decline. Still, the number of beasts didn’t seem to decrease, and instead, increased further in number as more and more wolves came out from the thickets. Still, Cian continued fighting.
With the venom he secreted coated the black blade, every slash and hit of his sword caused most wolves to lose their fighting ability in an instant. Then, with [Hardened] and [Iron Skin] he was able to defend against wind blades, or their claws. Even without using Magic, with his skills alone, he was almost invincible.
With a swing of his leg, a sharp translucent blade made from sharp wind cut through the air. It then expanded in range to release a wide horizontal slash, cutting everything on its path. Though it’s not made of wind magic similar to wind blades, its incredible power was almost similar to one.
Suddenly, movements were perceived behind him. His narrowed his eyes, but then, suddenly the nearby tree moved. With a wooshing sound, the branch of the tree made a sweeping motion, hitting the wind wolves that tried to sneak attack him and sending them flying.
At this moment, Regina also appeared, slashing and stabbing with her twin daggers- she moved almost like a whirlwind, and in a blink of an eye, she had disappeared as if it was an illusion. But the wind wolves that were sent flying by the trees’ branch and roots had all died, littered with cutting wounds the moment they fell on the ground.
Cian’s lips curved into a smile. His back is truly safe with them behind him.
The trees around him continued to move, coiling around the wolves, strangling and stopping their movement, protecting him from every direction. He knows that this was Amadea’s innate ability, [Heart of the Forest].
An incredible skill that allows herself to integrate into a particular area of the forest. Trees and plants, she can control them at will. Furthermore, during this phase, she would become the forest herself. Not a hint of her presence could be found as if she had become a mere plant or tree.

Of course, it’s not absolute, however, as people with great capability or perception could sense her. For example, Cian. Relying on his Night’s Eye, he could see where Amadea was standing. However, in this kind of world where one’s perception is limited, she can be said to be almost invincible. Though, it's not like there's any method to kill a spirit like her. Other than soul attacks. But there's no one who possess that kind of ability, not to mention, a level enough to hurt a flower spirit like her. Anyone who met her can only escape.
Despite the number of his enemies, Cian didn’t feel a burden. No matter how many monsters came, he felt as if he can still defeat them all. His strength was surging rapidly, and his body was filled with an incredible fierce energy that made him want to go all out. He was able to fight like this because he felt safe and secure. It’s as if Amadea was embracing him, protecting him from all directions. Not to mention, Regina who was watching him from the back. And this made him felt extremely warm and satisfied.
Even on Earth, he had always fought alone. But having someone on your back is truly different. Someone you can trust absolutely, and leave your back to them. This was the first time, he suddenly understands why many people don’t like to be alone. Why many people seek a relationship.
Even someone like him, who had tasted this love, seemed to be unable to go back in living that isolated life again.
Women are the doom of heroes.
It seems like that saying is not unfounded. After all, even he himself felt that he could not turn back time and live a life without women anymore... not to mention, without these wonderful women beside him.
Cian looks around, watching as the Windwolves growled in fear.
The sound of the wind rustling the leaves around them seemed to be an eerie whisper of death.
“If you don’t want to die, then scram.”
He taunted, his cold voice ringing on the whole place. His demonic aura exploded, and the sway of the wind seemed to change, becoming heavier. The wind wolves fearfully step back. However, they still didn’t turn around and run away. Instead, one of the larger wolves even let out an angry howl before courageously leaping towards him while baring its fangs.
The wind revolved around its body, and its pair of eyes gleamed brightly. The wolf’s speed was even faster than before.
“You’re not worthy as my opponent how can you not see it? Foolish,”
Through his Magic Eye, Cian could immediately see through its spell.
[Blessings of the Wind]
It’s an enhancement-type skill that increases the user’s speed and strength.
Still, to think beasts are capable of using this kind of high-level spell.
Immediately, Cian’s magic power revolves around his eyes, trying to replicate it. With his [Magic Eye], he can break down a spell, and analyze it, and then copy it. All of it done in an instant. Unfortunately, his elemental affinity for the wind was so low, that he failed to copy it.

Woooosh.
The sharp claws of the beast had reached him, sweeping in the air. However, like a mirage, Cian’s figure vanished the moment the wolf’s attack hit him. And then all of a sudden, he reappeared beside his target which was hanging in mid-air, pouncing on his former position.
“[Lightning Tempo]!”
Bzzzt!!
As soon as those words fell, on the tips of Cian’s hand emitted an electric burst. A discharge of blue colored electricity rushed towards the wolf and electrocuted it.
Bam!
The wolf fell from the air to the ground. Its corpse black scorched and was even smoking. The bright and dazzling lightning pulses around Cian seemed to give him a halo of supremacy, and the wind wolves that surrounded him couldn’t help but stop… of course, not in admiration but from fear.
The power of those lightning pulses could burn them to death. Even a fool of a beast would feel fear the power that seemed to be a punishment from the gods.
They then started to retreat, and some even were on the verge of turning around and run away.
Awooooohhhh!!
But then, when Cian thought the battle to be over, the wolves going to turn around and retreat, suddenly, a loud howl echoed in the entire forest. The whole ground began to tremble violently.
That is…?!
Cian’s eyes narrowed in seriousness.
It seems like we’ve set foot on a terrible guy’s territory.
Amadea’s beautiful voice could be heard inside his mind.
Even the powerful alraune like her could feel the sudden change in the atmosphere around them. In her way of the words to explain what is currently happening, ‘The forest is trembling’ is truly a straight shot to the current situation.
Accompanied by the sudden gust of wind that seemed to be the sign of an incoming storm, the faces and expressions of the wolves changed in a blink of an eye. Even the smallest and seemly weakest wolf, turned into a savage monster in a blink of an eye.
With red bloodshot eyes, they turned towards Cian. Growling like a fierce, mindless beast, the hesitation, and fear on their eyes couldn’t be seen anymore, instead, replaced by an eye of a predator that was thirsty for blood, and hungry for flesh.
Just that one howl… the transformation of these wolves was dramatic.
It seems like a battle to the death is inevitable.
Not only that, through his Magic Eye, Cian can also sense the incredible surge of unknown power from each and every wind wolves he could see.
The magic power seemed to have increased dramatically, that its level had almost reached a monster of C rank. And even the strongest, those with larger builds and powerful auras had already reached almost the B rank.
A buff spell had been invoked, increasing the overall powers of the pack, doubling the wind wolves' strength.
An army of dozen C rank monsters…
What kind of terrifying situation is this?
'A Wolf King.'
Once again Amadea’s worried voice echoed inside his mind, confirming his suspicions.
'It seems like this is a territory of a Wolf King- the Wind Wolf King.'
'We might need to retreat and run away…'
But Cian shook his head.
'There’s only a small chance of running away successfully, given how many the wind wolves are in this forest.'
He said.
Though, the biggest reason is,
'Not to mention, I don’t want to show my back against these beasts.
'Wind Wolf King… that does sound delicious…'
'It’s a Monster King, Cian… it’s a terrible monster! We don’t-'
'Amadea…'
Cian cut Amadea’s words with a fearless grin.
'When did you see me run away with my tail between my legs?'
'…?! '
'Even if it’s a hopeless battle, I still need to try before running away. I don’t want to judge something impossible without giving it a try.'
'But Cian… you could die…! '
Amadea was not worried about her safety. Since her true body was outside of this world, even if she dies in this world, only her incarnation would die. But that is not true for Cian. If he dies in this world, he would surely die.
She cannot let happens. She can never imagine a world without a naughty, womanizer, demon imp named Cian Cahlo anymore.
But her demon imp was a stubborn fool who likes to play with his life.
Cian smirk.
'You don’t need to worry, Amadea. I won’t die… you know I cannot die.'
With the blessing of Night, he would never remain dead. Though the price of his power being sealed is tough, he only saw it as a challenge. Just like how, without his [Vector Body] he had realized his mistake, and now was starting to patch up the things he had missed. Now, he can say that he was even stronger than before.
Truly, as they say, a blessing in disguise.
Still, of course, Cian was not a fool who would welcome death because of knowing the fact he cannot die. Once the situation turns for the worse, he would immediately turn around and retreat. He had many life-saving cards on him.
If he wanted to escape, even a dozen Monster Kings would never be able to stop him. Let alone, just a Wolf King.
'...You know I had many means of escaping if I wanted to. So do lift your chest, my Amadea, for I have no desire of dying today.'
“... Don't worry, I'll kill everyone…"
Looking at his eyes, Cian's eyes seemed to be filled with both craziness and recklessness, his red eyes dark like a red moon on a winter night. His fingers were dripping blood, and there was a strong oppressive atmosphere raging around him.
"... especially those who oppose me,”
His mouth curled into a truly insane grin full of madness.

This is the tale of Zero. This story is a slow-burn, meant to be a few hundred pages or more in length, so the plot isn't the fastest to move. It also has lesbian-themed relationships for the majority of its cast. This story partially falls under, "harem" with the main character being female and gaining the affection of other females, against (at first) the main character's (Eve) will. This first arc will be more focused on the mentality and emotions of the cast with battles spaced intermittently. The second arc will involve a lot more fighting. Arc two will be out in a reasonable timeframe.
