《Flame-Eyed Immortal》Chapter 11

“Damnit.”
Owen thought to himself as he was falling through the air. Even at a time like this where death was imminent he wasn’t overly worried. He was only thinking how unfortunate he was to meet up with an evolved beast right after leaving the village. Now he was falling off of a cliff how would he survive now?
“Where is it?”
Owen looked as if he was swimming in the air looking for the bear. But as he heard the bear growl he immediately found its location.
“Grrrr!”
The bear continued to flail around without accomplishing much. The bear at this point was no longer trying to attack Owen, as it was experiencing a new sensation it had never experienced before. Naturally it would be the last thing it felt. However to its surprise it felt something grab on it. At the time Owen grabbed onto the hairs of the bear, his hands were immediately punctured by the barbs of the sharp hairs. His head just a second before white, but now was dyed red in blood as his gripped tightened.
Owen pulled himself onto the bear’s back but he didn’t dare to mount it in fear of causing him to lose too much blood. He only hovered just barely over the bear and waited. Owen patiently waited to meet the ground. What kind of person while falling from a cliff would be able to wait to collide with the ground? If it wasn’t for the fact that Owen’s determination to survive was stronger by many folds over others he would be screaming until he lost his voice. Just like the bear who had no idea what was going on but simply could not do anything but unhappily growl.
Boom!
Before he knew it, the bear collided into the ground. What happened next was Owen, who was just barely hovering over the bear came into contact with all the barbs of the bear’s hair. All these millions of hairs instantly pierced through his skin and muscles. No matter how strong he was even if his body was steel he felt it would still be pierced through. The excruciating pain that followed caused him to lose all the breath in his lungs. With the air sucked out from his lungs he was knocked unconscious before he even felt the impact of the ground. As soon as the unconscious Owen, he naturally continued to fall compressing the back of the bear, allowing the hairs to puncture deeper into his body. But he was no longer able to feel, however with the intense pain increasing he was woken up by it. As he felt the pain increased he couldn’t even scream because he had no air in his lungs.

Boom!
He finally was stopped by the full collision of the ground as the back of the bear broke and numerous bones punctured through Owen’s organs. The bones in his hand protecting his head immediately shattered. His legs bent in two, and all of this happened in such a short period of time, but even still every single individual bone he felt at a different fraction of this short period. The only result was left for him to be knocked unconscious left to die.
---------------------
“Haha! He’s here!”
A black robed man looked at the sorry state of Owen. When he saw how terrible Owen looked he titled his head in confusion and spoke again.
“How is he so hurt? Was the fall… oh I totally forgot how weak these humans are before they walk the Path. Ah I messed up. If I knew this was going to happen I would have also gotten one of those sisters to bring him to me.”
The black dragon spoke with a tinge of regret. But it looked more like sarcasm than anything else, as he was still grinning sharply. He couldn’t help but laugh to himself again as he picked up Owen and walked away with him.
“Haha! If you weren’t this brave you wouldn’t be deserving to be a disciple of I, The Sun-Dragon.”
Immediately after, the Sun-dragons body started to change. Black glossy scales started to rip through his skin, His body constantly expanded and a tail exploded out from his tailbone. His toes burst apart, replaced by lizard like feet. Then, the most peculiar thing, his eyes changed into bright stars. As if real flames twirled around in his irises. Then he finally fully transformed into a massive black dragon. He opened up his wings and disappeared as he fly into the sky.

“Hmm.”
“Oh you’re awake already? Quite determined to live aren’t you?”
As soon as Owen awoke he was bombarded by a loud obnoxious voice. He even felt the urge to throw his watering can at the person so he could go back to sleep. Owen’s head was pounding so hard he had even monemtarily forgotten what had just transpired and thought he was still in his nice warm bed being bothered by the loud fatty across the street.
But shortly after he realized that this voice was not the fatty but instead was very deep he could even hear inside of his head. But even still, Owen calmly tried to get up. As he tried to he felt a unmovable hand on his chest refusing to allow him to move past this point. As Owne turned to the direction of the owner of the hand he couldn’t help but ask a question.
“Why did you save me?”
“Simple. You’re going to be my disciple.”
