《Flame-Eyed Immortal》Chapter 31

As the pair of Pathwalkers walked through the forest, after pushing through a bit of shrubbery they noticed the Pavilion in front of them. While Rauf was staring at the giant Pavilion that had numerous people walking to enter from the front, he noticed that Owen’s was facing somewhere else entirely. He had almost blurted out that the Pavilion was down a bit more, but seeing his serious face he wasn’t able to. At this moment Owen was using his Blind Motion technique to stare at the immense wall in behind the Pavilion.
This wall like structure was much like the red block that his Master had shown him. So immediately he had known that it was a Boundary. But instead of red like Kovinth’s it was green. It didn’t rise high into the sky maybe only 4 times as high at the Pavilion below it, however it stretched across the land into the horizon. There was no mountains that could be seen so the largest seen structure was definitely this wall. From everyone’s actions of nonchalantly walking into the Pavilion one after another it was obvious that none of them could see the Boundary. This was a strange feeling for Owen, as he could directly see something others couldn’t. He couldn’t see past the wall, while others could.
‘What a strange feeling this is.’
As he was lost in thought Rauf had already walked off. Noticing that Rauf called out to him. He didn’t raise his voice as he knew that speaking quietly was better for blind people because he knew that they usually had better hearing than most. Although it wasn’t guaranteed, if Owen was a Pathwalker he had to have some sort of way of dealing with enemies and Rauf couldn’t think of anything other than his hearing to help him.

Also after Rauf had calmed down, he managed to find out that Owen was a good natured person . He never called him childish for his actions, or got angry when he yelled at him. The matter followed its course and Rauf started to think of him as a friend. It was also partly because like him Owen had his own problems, which was naturally being blind. Rauf could relate to tough situations in this world and felt a companionship between the two start to grow.
On the other hand Owen was completely ignorant of Rauf’s thought process. He had already thought that Rauf was an interesting character and thought of him as a friend. Owen was too calm and it could be said that his personality was actually his strongest and weakest point at the same time. Though Owen would never agree with that. He liked himself after all. He also wouldn’t agree if others said that his blindness was a disability. Owen did want to gain vision, however that didn’t mean he didn’t enjoy life when he was blind.
There was so much only he was able to feel and hear, that was unique to him alone and that was his world. Gaining vision was just a bonus and now that he had the Blind Motion technique although in the end gaining his vision was still the overall goal, Owen was not in any rush and would take small steps. That was his Path.
------------
The two together walked towards the Pavilion. It was similar to an ancient church, with brown shingles that were falling apart from age. Even parts of the roof were missing completely. Only the tower looked to be in a somewhat neutral condition in comparison to the rest of the building. The white painted bricks of stone were crumbling apart from their own weight. It even made the arriving Pathwalkers become slightly hesitant to walk in, but after seeing two keepers on either side so of the mahogany gate they felt a little more relaxed.

The Keepers wouldn’t kill them after putting in all the effort to gather them, why would they? They could wipe out this entire planet in a matter of minutes. The gods themselves could do so with a flick of their fingers. There was no need to use such a roundabout way to kill them. However like the wall previously Owen was not staring at the Pavilion in the slightest, it had a green colour it was nothing special, other than that the green was extremely ancient looking in itself, what Owen cared more about was the white coloured Keepers in front of him.
Rauf paid no attention towards the Keepers. He just kept walking slightly in a grumpy mood after seeing how terrible the condition of the Pavilion was. After all the distance previously was still pretty far and they couldn’t clearly see the small details. When he turned around he noticed that once again Owen was standing still.
‘Does this guy like to stop and point his face toward things? Can he not look and walk at the same time?’
Although he sighed he wasn’t too bothered by it and just lightly called out to him again. Owen apologized and walked straight through the gates with Rauf. On the other hand the two Keepers who hadn’t even looked at others entering started to talk through their Auras.
“Looks like we got a monster.”
“Haha, brother Tae, if you say that I’m sure the god who taught him would kill you instantly.”
The man who spoke first snorted, he but he knew that what his friend said was true. The words he spoke were true, it was just both rude to the student and teacher to acknowledge them as such. As both of them shrugged they continued to guard the gates without blinking.f

The Morgulon
Greg never really wanted to become a werewolf hunter. He just wanted to prove to his father that he could do the job his family was famous for, maybe earn some money while he’s at it. He certainly never wanted to become a werewolf, or run away from home, or fight the inquisition. Unfortunately, as his brothers would say, fate has a shitty sense of humour. Updates on Mondays. "I feel like this story perfectly represents how you can't judge a book by its cover (or, in this case, concept). Edgy badboy werewolf teen romance? Yeet that concept out the window and get ready for an action-packed fantasy with an incredibly built world and logical, realistic characters." "This is a great story, probably better than any werewolf novel I've read. It's certainly not a typical werewolf story (but don't let that stop you from reading it, the werewolves are still amazing.)" "A werewolf story where people aren't constantly meeting gruesome ends that still maintains a gritty atmosphere. Realistic worldbuilding and character design make this a must read!" - RR reviews The first chapter is also on DeviantArt, more may follow.

Changement : Version Pile [French]
Notice: This story is in French, not in english, mainly because of my poor english. I may translate it later if I get better, and hopefully I will. - Author's note: this story is a concept. During the first chapter, the main character is faced with a major decision, which will change his life forever, and, not knowing what to do, he decide to play heads or tails, and let fate choose for him. And so there will be two versions of this story, one for each of the result, and their consequences for the main character, as well as all those around him. Here, he got tails.
