Ooh, my level and status both increased.
In every level up, the system will increased the player’s base stats by 1 and will generously give 3 free stat points.
It’s very difficult to get free skill points.
In order to receive 1 free skill point, the only way is to promote the level five times.
In other words, Rain had to wait till he was promoted to level 5 before his next free skill point.
This free skill point can be said to be quite precious!
I finally broke through the level 0 barrier and became a level 1 mage.
In [ Philippine Lore ] 10 stat points was a threshold, having less than 10 attribute points would be in the scope of being an ordinary person; having higher than 10 points would be equal to being in the ranks of super-humans.
Right now, Rain had finally broken through in that boundary. He can now be considered as a super-human. Although only bit above ordinary humans.
But what caught his eyes the most wasn’t the status increased but the new skill he acquired.
[ Dagger Mastery ]
I never thought I could acquire something like this when my class is a mage.
[ Dagger Mastery ]
- Because you showed an amazing skill in using a dagger, you had acquired [ Dagger Mastery ] skill. This skill allows the user to use dagger smoothly and perfectly.
Rain took a glance at his status window. And without hesitation, he added two points in Strength and one point in
Mana in order to make himself more durable.
From the fight a while ago, Rain realized that a Mage is really weak. Especially now that he was all alone in this forest, he needed himself to stand in the front lines to survive.
And he wouldn’t be able to do that if he just increased his mana. He needed to have stronger and sturdier body.
Standing up, Rain headed towards the corpses of the wolves. Facing their corpses made his conscience take a bit of a blow. Well, after all except for mosquitos and bugs, this is the first time he had killed something with his own hands.
He still felt uncomfortable.
But he shook his head and lifted the dagger once again.
In one breath, he waved the dagger downwards, and dug out the heart. Ignoring the ragged body and the scattering of the blood, he immediately took the shining purplish fragments located at the center of its chest.

That is the
According to the guide sites he had read beforehand; from monsters, you can obtain crystals filled with magic.
As always, he was not quite sure about the details about things because he had just read contents written on the guide sites.
All in all, these crystals have incredible powers, and you could use this thing to exchange money at the Adventurers guild.
Yeah, there’s an adventurer’s guild located in towns and cities.
According to what he had read, these magic stones can be made into magic artifacts such as; magic swords, armors, accessories and many other things so these things are pretty valuable. Although only people with specific professions
were the only one who can make something like that.
After digging out the magic stones from the two monsters he had killed, Rain cast his glance at the four barbecue--- I mean, four burned bodies of the wolves that the white rabbit personally killed.
He once again began to repeat the same work. It would just become a waste, might as well take it, thus he did not have time to take a break.
Now, on his hands were six bean-sized purple magic stones.
Purple, yellow, orange, blue, black and red. Aside from the size, magic stones were also categorized by colors.
Purple color magic stones were the lowest grade of magic stones and the highest would be the red colored.
These things on his hands were only the size of a finger nail. According to what he verified, what you obtain from low level monsters should only basically be this size.
The exchange rate was extremely low. Looks like the larger the Magic Stone, the valuable the stone and the more expensive it is.
Exhaling a sigh, Rain took his dagger and tried to skin the wolves. He wanted to get its pelt and some meat to eat.
He wasn’t a professional and this was the first time he did this in all his life but still, everything has a first time.
Rain took his time learning how to skin. He once watched a video on youtu*be about skinning animals and such so he had some theoretical knowledge about it. But the thing is, doing it in practice is really difficult.
Rain took almost two hours to separate the skin. Looking at his masterpiece, he was quite disappointed. It was done very clumsily, but all in all this was his first time after all.
Although he can’t use the end product because of the cuts and tears on the skin, it was still good as a practice.
Well, this can still serve as a good experience for me.

With renewed enthusiasm, Rain took another wolf to practice. This time it took him over an hour. Though it was still in a pitiful state but it was certainly better than the previous one.
His movements became smooth as he got used to it. His dagger dance as the point of the blade went along the internal of the tendons and muscles. Although the speed of the dagger is slow but it was still quite smooth.
At this moment, A ‘Ding!’ sound rang out, surprising Rain who was so focused in skinning the beast.
What happened?
[ You have acquired the skill; [ Corpse Disassembly ] ]
A new skill?!
Rain never expected that he would actually learn a new skill!
[ Corpse Disassembly ]
- Because of your amazing concentration in learning as well as your admirable learning speed, the system rewarded you a new skill; [ Corpse Disassembly ].
A-amazing.
Unbeknownst to him and the other players, this game could be considered the closest to reality ever. The mental aspect like attitude and spirit all took a major step forward, and additionally, you can create your own skills and styles inside the game. As long as you have unwavering will and perseverance, you can create unique or special skills whenever you wanted.
Well, whatever it is, one thing would never change; this game is a heaven for game addicts.
--- ---
“Fufufu, that is a very interesting human.” When Rain left the place, a voice suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
“To meet the thunder rabbit and survive, and most of all challenge it in a competition… was it stupidity or… just plain confidence?”
His sudden arrival inside this forest shouldn’t be a coincidence… Is this what they meant about the people from another world? Interesting~
“However, the person who makes the first move wins the game… Am I right?”
--- ---
After walking for a while, Rain found a different beast from before in front of him.
Rather than a beast, this one looked like a bug. Its appearance was that of a spider, whose height exceeded 2m.
Honestly, he didn’t want to have to deal with it. If possible, he wanted to pass peacefully.
Luckily, spiders didn’t use their sense of smell to catch prey. While it had eight eyes, as long as he hid and stayed a distance, there wouldn’t be a problem.
“Uwah… It’s creepy.”
- But, aren’t spiders usually predatory animal that lay in wait with their webs? Why is this one walking around as if strolling in a mall?!
Besides, it seemed really strong!
Looking at the scary spider, Rain remembered something; ‘A wise men is like a pin in his head that keeps him from going too far.’
And thus, Rain doesn’t have any choice but to hide, praying that the spider wouldn’t saw him.
Although he doesn’t know how strong that spider was but still it should be stronger than him.
Even fresh and wet firewood would burn if placed near the flame.
Rain hid in the thickets as he waited for the spider to pass by. He gazed at its movements as he concentrated as not
to make a sound.
Suddenly a growling sound could be heard behind him. Because of this, Rain suddenly a felt a chill on his back.
As he turned his head, he found a wolf that looked like the wolves from before behind him. However, this one seemed really different.
The grey wolf still had two tails and was about the size of a large dog. However its hind legs were heavily muscled.
The “wolf” also had several dark red lines running along its body like blood vessels, the lines also pulsated like a heart.
That was very creepy.
Clearly, it was a dangerous demon.
Rain did not know whether it was hiding in the shadows of the trees and bushes, or it might have followed him all the way here but something like reason wasn’t important anymore.
Gripping the dagger again, he place his vision onto the constantly intimidating wolf that was revealing its fangs and placed the Pelt containing some meat he had gotten from the wolves before on the ground.
Unbeknownst to Rain, the Big Bad Wolf followed his movement with his eyes and as soon as it saw the pelt on the ground, the anger and hatred on its eyes intensified.
The reason the Big Bad Wolf found Rain was none other than its skill; [ Pain of Kin ]. A skill used by Grey wolves to identify their enemies, especially those people who hunt their kinds.
Right, I can’t be hasty. Even if I do not take risks, the forest is still filled with dangers.
Didn’t they say many times that thinking of “Well, so be it” was the most dangerous thing?
No guts, No glory!
In the front, the spider, and behind, the wolf. But it truly was a desperate pinch.
“GRRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!”
“......H, Hi?”
The only word Rain could utter. This roar signifies another dangerous battle.
Damn it, Can’t you give me a break!
A truly big pinch!

World Story: Biographies of Extraordinary People
Important note: I’d like to thank Dr. Buller for their advice on dialogue by their critical review. And I’m on a one-month break to post the first revised chapters on Scribble Hub. Please stay tuned! Even in faraway worlds, every folk had a story, and monsters came in numerous shapes and sizes. However, heroes never existed in this otherworld. Even the most idealistic understood this deep within. But as they abandoned their humanity at times, they quickly regained it. It was not that they became human again. They always were. So what happened when the monster devoid of humanity appeared? Well, the “heroes” sought to slay it at all costs either way, lest it would be the end of their stories. A portal/isekai fantasy that I wanted to deconstruct some elements within. Expect a whole ton of references and dialogue because I’ll deliberately write it more like a light novel. The last thing to consider is that Japanese names in my novel will come with kanji/hiragana characters within parentheses. The same goes for any other derived from non-Latin writing systems. It’s because none of the names I write will be accidental or random. They’ll all have meaning. New chapters Monday to Thursday at 11:00 PM (GMT+8), though sometimes I can’t. Credit for the cover art goes to HWPerfidy. She’s a freelance artist on this site, and I’d love anyone who shows her support.
