《Transported into another world with a parallel-version of myself》Chapter 11: Hunting

I walked silently to surround this weird but meaty creature that was standing under the tree.
Any minor mistake can cost the hunt. So, I carefully avoided twigs along the way.
The plan was simple. The female version of me will be the one to grab its attention and that's where I come in. I would come out of the bush and forcefully hold onto the creature as long as I can. While that's happening, she will stab its legs with her sharp stick so it wouldn't be able to escape. Finally, taking out the rocks in our pockets, we'll keep on smashing the poor creature's head until it ultimately dies to two hungry teenagers.
The plan was going smoothly, until the creature suddenly lied down on the ground. I think it's trying to fall asleep. Wait, this can work in our favor. This hunt was basically over before it even started! All we had to do is wait for it to sleep until its senses cease to function.
Quickly, I raised my hand in front of her to signal to stop. She also did the same and made a thumbs-up pose to me which meant she probably knew what my plan is.
A few minutes passed. No doubt. The creature has entered deep into its sleep. Observing its belly, I could see it slowly going up and down. From what I know, that happens only when one is truly sleeping.
I breathe to focus myself.
Alright. With the sharp stick in my hand, I went out of the bush. . Shortly after, she too went out with a stick in her hand. Together, we slowly approached the sleeping meal. She came from the front and I, from the back.
We stopped at a certain distance from the creature and looked at each other awaiting an order. A few seconds later, we simultaneously nodded our heads and attempted the killing blow.

I have never killed an animal before. However, now that I'm in this situation. The hesitation I expected never came. It's as if my entire being is alive at this entire moment. Is this what they call 'in the zone'?
I felt a strange feeling in my hand. It was firm yet tender at the same time. It was the feeling of stabbing flesh.
The creature was forcefully woken up with two sticks impaled into its legs. Before it could even mutter a sound, its head was instantly bashed with the sharpest rock we could find. Both of our hands gradually got bloodier the more we strike. It must be in excruciating pain right now...
But, we didn't pay heed into its emotions. After all, both of us were hungry.
"...I think we messed up its head too much."
If this were a crime scene, it would be a gory one. The head was completely smashed, however, I can't explain how horrible this looks. Most importantly, its main body remained essentially unharmed.
With this, the hunt was over.

Cary Simms: The Fairy Mushroom Forest
From a young age, Cary Simms knew that she wasn't like the other boys her age. She didn't know why or how that was, but it seemed apparent to the bullies of her school. They would often call her names, chase after her after school, and beat her up when they could catch her. Her only protection, besides escape, was in the words of the Good Book. But that was before she stumbled into the supposedly haunted house at the end of her street. When a mysterious ring and a drawing on the back wall of the post office opened up a whole new world for her, things quickly went from weird to scary. At a new school, in a new world, surrounded by people who had access to magic, all Cary could think of was how to escape the witches that had her trapped there. It was only having her best friend by her side that gave her any comfort at all. ***This is my first attempt at a middle grade book, and would appreciate feedback. Please note, this is a second draft, and might not represent the final product.***

Like many of my peers, I've discovered that life is not quite what I expected it to be. As I age, I've begun to find that many of the sayings and truths that my parents, authority figures, and friends have passed on to me were outright lies. Every person I know has been subject to the same interactions, which got me thinking, why not write a compilation of stores about my life experiences to date. I hope that this book will help all of us come to terms with the realities that we face today or deal with some of our deepest feelings about the past. Maybe these people lied to us and maybe they honestly believed the myriad of things they told us, but either way I think we can have a good laugh looking back and remembering the first times that we realized these things weren't true. I also hope that you can look back at the lies, or life lessons, that you've learned and can be inspried to own your stories and share them with others in a genuine way. Wiithout further ado, I hope that you enjoy the many short stories of my life that made me who I am today. These stories range from funny to down right surrel, so good luck on your journey!

DEATH While there is a difference as to when a person or object will "end," it is certain that they will all arrive at that point because death is not something that "arrives," but rather is something already contained within an object at its creation and certainly bound to happen as part of the principle of causality.
