《The King Of Sloth》Chapter 2

I open my eyes. Again. I'm still in a forest with abnormally large trees. Sigh, I wonder what I should do. I have no plans of trying to go back, so I guess I'll just wander around and do my own thing. Or maybe I should find the fluffiest pillow in existence? Well first I should solve my movement problem, there's no way I can find a pillow without being able to move properly. This is a big problem huh.
!? That's it! I can just manipulate gravity can't I? Perfect! But how do I do it? I guess I just have to imagine it.
I imagine gravity pulling me towards a tree.
Ohhh it works, kind of. I mean I'm still moving slowly. It's still faster than trying to move by myself though. At least I'm about the speed of a baby learning to crawl.
Spell Created: Gravity Pull
Gravity Manipulation: levelled up!
Oh I made a spell.
Gravity Pull: Pulls an target towards caster
Stronger pull for less mana consumption as level increases
Cost: 50 mana
Cool, a bit simple but cool. Okay so if I can pull I can push right? I tried imagining some fallen leaves being pushed.
Spell Created: Gravity Push
Gravity Push: Pushes target away from caster
Stronger push for less mana consumption as level increases
Cost: 50 mana
This is pretty cool. I then spend the next few minutes playing with my new spells.
Gravity Pull: Levelled up!
Gravity Push: Levelled up!
Gravity Manipulation: Levelled up!
That was fast. I was expecting it to take longer. Oh, I forgot to check the mana usage.
Mana: 800/1000
Hmm it's too much mana. I can't use this casually. Oh what's my mana regeneration rate?
Mana: 900/1000
Oi. It's only been ten seconds. That's way too fast, that was 100 mana in ten seconds. Or maybe that's normal, who knows? Well back to the matter at hand. I need to make a spell that can be used casually and make me move properly. What if I just lighten the gravity around my body. Then I'd be able to move right? I attempt my idea right away.

Spell Created: Lighten Gravity
Lighten Gravity: Lightens the gravity around target
Amount of gravity taken away increases as the level does
Mana cost permanent
Cost: 10 mana per second
I feel as if a load has been lifted off of my shoulders. I try moving my hand and it's twice as fast as before! But this still isn't good enough. I need to level it up. So in order to do that there is only one option.
Leave it on while I take a nap.
10 hours later
I open my eyes. For the third time, and check my status.

Oh! It worked! I feel at least 5 times lighter than before and my normal speed is back! Actually I feel a bit faster than I was before I died. Well what should I do next? I guess I'll go look for civilisation, I mean where else am I going to get a pillow.
and so I got up for the first time since reincarnating.

She who rules the stars with steel eyes and an iron will, the glorious, the beautiful, the adored Goddess, has now fallen under the hands of her nemesis… The Archfiend, Emperor of Talonis, the nation of Vice and its Shadows, has now assumed reign over Stalera after the death of the Goddess. With the power of Vice, its Shadows, and the Universe, it is assumed that he would be satisfied now that Stalera was under his mercy, and the other two nations of Yelerna and Antalis would follow suit. But much to our surprise, he isn’t because he still lacks the… Ruby, The Goddess’ last attempt to save her empire and the entirety of the Universe. Before her death, the Goddess sealed a portion of her blood, which contained the remaining powers of the Universe the Archfiend hadn’t obtained, away from his grasp. She entrusted it to one of her Zodiac Warriors, a member of her elite service known as the Zodiac Warrior Circle, and instructed him to hide the precious jewel on Earth. The restoration of Stalera and the defeat of the Archfiend would lie in the hands of whoever inherited the ruby jewel. Those who inherited the ruby were known as the Goddess’ Successor, and the one next in line to inherit it is… Auriella Corentin. Life was never the same for Auriella the night her Grandmama gave her the ruby jewel and died, thrusting the poor girl into a world of magic. Now in possession of the Goddess’ blood, it wouldn’t be long until the Archfiend found her, killed her, and obtained her ruby inheritance. But Auriella never wanted this responsibility, not when she had her own past and inner demons to battle against. Nevertheless, she finds herself seeking an alliance with the Zodiac Warriors and a strange barista as she learns to wield the powers the Goddess bestowed to her. But as frequent demon attacks, a secret admirer (or stalker), strange notes, and a handsome, amber-eyed boy pile onto her plate, it is no longer clear whether the universe needed Auriella to be their savior or to be the Goddess’ (inferior) replacement. A Goddess in need of redemption. Four Nations at the brink of destruction. Our question still remains unanswered… What will become of us? [Updates Monday, Wednesday, Friday @8pm PST]
