《Real Life RPG Doesn't Suck》Chapter 6: The Five(Part 2)

(Daikage’s POV)
I quickly arrived to Iori-sama’s school, where he felt that wave of mana. As I approach, I can feel the reminiscence of a great magic, like some mana in the air. As expected, his perception of magic is astonishing. The contract with him and the clan was the right choice.
Even after a few minutes, I can feel magic in the air, so it will be easy to track the targets of the spell and its caster. To cast a spell of such power… I’m surprised that the building is still standing, since only a powerful mage can cast something that gathers this much mana…
I enter the school and search inside it. It doesn’t take long, in two minutes I’ve found five students, four girls and one boy. All of them are unconscious, and I can feel a lot of mana surrounding them. They seem to be the target of the magic, and I can’t find the caster. Was it casted at distance?
Anyway, I’ll first watch them, and see what happens since they are starting to wake up.
(3º person POV [Genbu Fuyuki])
She woke up dizzy and thirsty. With her head in a mess, her first action was to drink something. Getting up from the ground, she walked to the corner, where there is a water bottle on the side on a bottle of tea for the council members.
She takes the bottle, and with her trembling hands, she tris to open it. However, her hands are shaky and weak, without being able to make strength. Thus, she fails in opening the bottle. Frowning, she murmurs to herself.
(Fuyuki): “Open, goddammit.”
Suddenly, the water inside the bottle moves and break the bottle, spraying out as if trying to escape.
(Fuyuki): “Kya!”
She screams, releasing the bottle and stepping back. She looks terrified to the bottle of water, not because of the water that sprayed out, but because she had a strange feeling that she as the one that did that to the water.

(3º person POV[Kouhaku and Suzaku])
Both girls woke up, dizzy and confused. Haruka Kouhaku was the first one to wake up, with a strange feeling all over her body. Trembling all over, she was feeling a bit strange, but better than before she passed out. Looking to the side of the bed, she saw her best friend, Natsume Suzaku, passed out with her face buried in the sheets.
She would find it cute, if it wasn’t for the fact that she remembered everything before she passed out, that bright light and the strong dizziness that followed. She tried to get up, touching the medical equipment to have some support. Suddenly, when she touched it, she felt something coming out from her body.
More specifically her hand, going through the medical machines, making them go nuts and frying the systems. Clearly, a short circuit caused by electricity. She also clearly knew that the cause was her. After all, she clearly felt the electricity coming from her hand and frying the machines.
She heard a sound behind her, and when she turned back, she saw her friend, Suzaku, holding the metal frame of the bed. The metal in her hands was red hot, and was beginning to melt.
(3º person POV [Hitotsu Yuichi and Seiryuu Maria])
Yuichi was the first one to wake up. Getting up, he looks around, confused. He then sees Maria, getting up, confused as well. She was a bit ahead of him, since she was the first one to try to get out from the room. He then walks to her, saying:
(Yuichi): “Seiryuu-san, are you alrigh-!?”
He trips. He knows the reason, for stranger then it seems. He clearly felt something going out from his foot to the ground, making the ground change, and his foot to sink on it, making him fall. Seeing this, Maria extends her hand, wanting to help.

She also then feels something strange, something coming out from her hand. And in a flash, a golden, translucent wall appears beneath Yuichi, making him stop on his tracks to the ground with no wounds.
(Daikage’s POV)
The targets of the magic were natural ability users? If they are, they surely are weak… what was the objective of the spell? To be sure, I will use some hiding techniques and get rid of my presence. After a bit more observation, I will report to Iori-sama.
(Iori’s POV)
(Iori): “A club?”
(Daikage): “Yes, it was what I heard from them.”
A club huh, those five idols. According to Daikage’s report, they have acquired supernatural powers. I’m sure that they didn’t had it, I made sure to keep every one of them in check or get rid of them. I’m the boss of the territory of the village after all.
(Iori): “So, what about their powers? Is it magic?”
(Daikage): “Yes, it’s purely magic.”
(Iori): “I see… I will not interfere with them right now. Now that I think about that, how’s the situation with those gangs in the outer village?”
(Daikage): “Their harassing continues, but they didn’t made any big moves.”
(Iori): “I see… I also wasn’t able to track down their leaders yet… Daikage, how you would judge those five’s powers?”
(Daikage): “Pitiful, Iori-sama.”
(Iori): “So they will need a bit of shaping before they become useful… alright, you’re dismissed.”
(Daikage): “Yes, Iori-sama.”
He says, jumping away. They’re quite a varied group, and if they fight together, they can keep a good distance with two of them giving cover constantly. Also, they’re newbies, so they can be useful with a bit of “shaping” for my purposes. I will need to start an observation period on them. If they stay useless for too long, I will make my move.

Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
