Chapter 13: Monster of the West
Seven Star Alliance stood west from the Empire. Despite bordering with the Empire along the Bear Barren Dessert, their countries’ history is still relatively new.
Eight years ago before there was the Seven Star Alliance, existed seven large human nations; Mier, Ecin, Orit, Pence, Quath, Ramel and Séance.
Fully accommodating the western parts of the continent.
Then, the Centurion Demons march across the Bear Barren Dessert.
Hungering for vengeance and destruction of those seven nations.
Totally ignoring the Empire, they headed towards Mier and Ecin, two countries also bordering the desert.
Resulting a five years’ war which pulled in the seven nations of the west to come together and fight the demons.
Even then, the Centurion Demons lay destruction upon their armies and stood on equal grounds on armies overwhelming their numbers by 100:1.
Desperate to end this terror, they incite the pope of the Church of the Light to lead a Hero summoning.
True to the legends, the Hero fought valiantly and repelled the Centurion Demons back to the waste they came from.
From the ashes of the destruction, a new power came to be.
Thus the birth of Seven Star Alliance.
A remarkable event for the history of the world and the beginning of a nightmare for the non-humans in the west.
By mixing misinformation and using the hero as a mascot, the seven countries awarded the human race a higher citizenship.
Misinformation such as non-humans are demons, human supremacy and how the hero is the apostle of God; thus humans are the chosen one.
By creating a distinction, they separated the people to us and them.
Which redirected the resentment of the war towards the demi-humans and other non-humans.
Not long after that, ‘population control policy’ began to be enforced.
At first, it was simple separating homes and jobs.
Then, heavy taxes were imposed to enter the city for the non-humans.
With no money, no support, no safety and many more, the non-humans grew desperate.
Winter that year was harsh and unforgiving.

Still new to the concept of hunger and creating makeshift shelters many of them fall to starvation if not sickness
form from the chill of winter.
Cornered and angered by this injustice prosecution, especially when many of them were the native people of the land, they took arms and fought.
And so the ministers rejoice.
Their plan work.
The ‘Demon Retaliation’ open the door for the first ever mass enslavement.
Clever were the puppeteers as they had the younglings captured beforehand, ending the retaliation even before it started.
Yet, the news broke out about the attack of the non-humans, garnering more fear of ‘them’, which allowed a very unique law to be passed down.
Under the pretext of insuring loyalty to the kingdoms, they began to introduce slave collars as a condition for ‘them’ to do business and receive support.
When that wasn’t enough, the armies began to mobilize and raid the ‘traitors’ and forcing them to slavery.
With most of ‘them’ forced to wear the collar, one by one the non-human clans and settlements began to fall.
United the non-humans could gather some resistance but the majority already chose to proof their loyalty, they were unable to provide support even to their own brethren as the collar forbids ‘betraying the country’.
Even then some would choose to fight to the death, but the elders stopped those. They could not endanger the younglings under them.
With the clear line began to form, the atrocity of the humans began to intensify.
The men were forced to do force labor.
The women deemed acceptable became public use.
Somehow, the 2nd class citizens than became properties of the nobles governing the land.
Their arrogance, audacious and self-conceited actions eventually angered Empress Sophia.
With a single messenger from the Empire, immediately their plans were halted.
Bit by bit the policies of slavery to the non-humans began to untangle.
But the thing about humans are when they taste something sweet, it’s very hard to let it go.
The wealth garnered by slavery was truly eye opening for the kings and ministers.

Not to forget, the luxury accompanied along with the wealth.
“Imbeciles all of them. We were so close to making our kingdoms great again! Why couldn’t they understand, the humans are the true citizen of this land! The rest are simply there for us to use. You slaughter pigs to eat the meat, you slave a demi human to do your work!”
“Have they forgotten who fought and driven the damn demons away?”
“Who would have thought they would replace Sophia with someone more daring?! To kill our diplomats in broad day light, what were they thinking?” King of Ramel
“King of Ramel is right, it’s time for us to fight back. My advisors informed me that the new Empress might just be a sham for the Council to eliminate Emperor Charles. We could incite the citizens to question their new ruler. And in the midst of the chaos, we will forge alliance with those opposed this Kumon and end them all. With her gone, no one will dare to question our plans again.” King of Ecin
“Don’t spew nonsense. The reason we assisted Kabeera Kingdom is because we simply can’t afford to fight the war on two front. Are you forgetting the Demons beyond the desert? Or do you think the Empire is something we can bully around?” Mier Monarch
“Sacrilege!! Wars aren’t decided until we fight on the battleground. The God of Light chose humans as the true race to govern this world. Do we sit down like dogs of the Empire or claim our right?” The Pope.
“War is Quath choice. We will make our kingdoms great again even if it means going on a war in two fronts.” Queen of Quath.
“The Kingdom of Orit second that. The defense of the Empire lies on the Six Pillars formation. We have taken the liberty of cleaning Lake Seiko and their protectors. And we have positioned our troops at another two pillars, currently laying groundwork to destroy the two pillars. With their main defense gone, our invasion would be an easy task.” Orit the Overseer.
“Typical old men. Can you actually think out of the box a bit? Have you forgotten about my magic? Even if it’s the Dragon King, he too will bow and lick my shoe after I’m done with him. Let alone an Empress. You want the humans to reign supreme and I want the non-humans to be my slave. The more slave I have, the more powerful I become. The seven swords have served me well, why not add another one. With this Empress under my spell, all of the Empire will bow to me. Then, we will march across the Bear Barren Desert and enslave all the filthy demons.” Brock Allan the Hero
“Truly worthy to be called a Hero. The Church of Light will send an envoy to greet this Empress and the Council. Then and there, they will greet you and later they will serve you till the day they die.”
[Kumon and the Council]
While the kings were arguing, the thirteen council members and the Empress sat and watch the broadcast.
Unlike the new kingdoms, the magic archive stored by the Empire far surpassed them. One of this magic was live broadcast where a medium can be send and their five senses will be projected.
‘They actually had the guts to conspire to kill Empress Sophia?!’
Listening to their confessions, Lord Mongered Marrion faced turned scarlet red. Lake Seiko Siren Clan have been the protector of the Empire since the first Emperor and they were the one who raised him since he was a child. He had searched personally of the true master mind behind the genocide but the matter with Emperor Charles took priority. Thus, leaving the matter still unsolved.
“My Empress, this one request permission to lead the army to lay waste of their seven kingdoms.” Lord Mongered

Meek
After failing as an apprentice cooper and a town guard, Eli finds his place at the Rockbridge archives. Sure, he's the oldest 'junior scribe,' but he likes the job. And he's good at it, too. Then he completes an apparently-insignificant project, and the brutal reaction shocks him--with consequences that eventually shake the world. Eli gains powers. Rare and inhuman abilities. He progresses slowly, steadily, and not without setbacks. He changes, too. Is he a hero, a villain, a human, a monster? Depends who you ask. Meek is an epic fantasy with elements of progression. The basic magic is simple: five Paths, each with a different powerset. However, complexity arises from combinations, and the protagonist wields a magic all his own. Meek is set in the Valley, the only (as far as anyone knows) human empire that survived a Final Battle against a terrible foe. The Valley is warded against infiltration, but the enemy learned how to warp human souls, to foment discord within. However, another soul is also ... changed. Perhaps even 'warped.' And that soul is starting on a long (long, long) path that might, one day, prove that the Final Battle wasn't so final after all.

Dip$h!+s in Space
An eccentric comedy novel (that thinks it's a TV show) about space, and the Dipsh!+s that end up stranded in it. This hyper-self-aware comedy of stupid proportions, centers around Captain William T Lawg (no relation) and his adventures as a guy who managed to afford a refitted soft-top ice-cream truck, in space. Explore the universe with his trusty crew of valiant randos. Marley, the tech-bro, stoner spacebunny, who just wants to get away from his home world and the bullies it harbors. Duffy, the plump and sassy female mechanic, who has had every job in existence totaling far more years than possible. Roy, the frigging fabulous, flamboyant android, and former spy…or possibly current spy. (dun dun, daaaa!) And lastly, but certainly leastly, that other chick the captain keeps trying to bang. Ride with the crew of the notorious Tast-E-Chill, to a world of wonder that a lot of other space travelers have already been before, but probably not Lawg, so it's still exciting. This satirical joke on itself and every sci-fi trope ever to exist, will be sure to either thrill you or disappoint you, because COMEDY…IS…SUBJECTIVE! With a crew of 3-10 and an IQ of also probably 3-10, The captain putters along to uncharted lands, where history, loot, drama, innuendos of the sexual verity, and various Technicolor hoes shall surely be waiting, usually with some form of trap. Each season brings new and interesting crewmen, like: Menace: the adorable genderless frog-child-thing with the heart of gold and the dialogue vocabulary of a slightly trained parrot. Greg: the 8 foot tall, ancient, thermonuclear, semi-retired alien overlord who just wants to prove he still has a purpose…and also to rule the galaxy. Izzy: a 3rd generation, age-reversed reboot, accidental clone of her own mother/sister/older self, who happens to be Greg's daughter-in-law…and much, much more. Prepare yourself for shallow adventure, moderately-to high offensive dialogue, and overwhelmingly childish scenarios. Tag along as the crew battles, fierce enemies, lack of food and survival tape, and occasionally their own incompetence. Teen Romance, current politics, subtlety, dignity, this sucker has none of those, and it darn well knows it. Raise the sails and grab the rails as a bunch of dipsh!+s find themselves...IN SPACE. (Roll dramatic tapering credits, to royalty free trumpet music)
