Soaring Dragon Continent, Mt. Zu
In a flash, five years have passed since the emperor Chang Mu was killed by his own brother. During the process of reincarnation, Chang Mu went against the heavens and reincarnated back in his own time. When he was six months old, he witnessed the death of his father, and the rape of his mother, both of which died. However, he was not alone in the world, the mysterious cultivator took a liking to him and decided to raise him.
In respect for his parents, Chang Mu named himself Qiu Zhen. Qiu Zhen has been living with the cultivator on Mt. Zu. Mt. Zu is her home and the safest place from any dangers. His new mothers name is Lien Meili, she’s a rogue cultivator who has only reached the Mystical Realm of cultivation.
She told Qiu Zhen that he need not worry about becoming a cultivator, she would protect him from any dangers that may approach. Qiu Zhen felt some attachment to the woman considering she took him in when his own parents left the world. However Qiu Zhen had his own goals, he needed to get stronger and retaining his memories he could cultivate anytime now.
The reason he needed to hurry up was because when one is young is when they have the fastest cultivation period. He is with a rogue cultivator so he doesn’t have any resources that other elite children have when they grow up. His only hope is to start now and try to get a head start on the others.
However what Qiu Zhen didn’t understand was that even being gone for a mere five years the cultivation world was highly unstable. This is mostly due to the emperor’s death and the seven kingdoms trying to find who killed him. Lien Meili didn’t want him to enter into a world that was on the verge of collapsing and breaking into a war, even if he did have talent so she didn’t teach him any cultivation techniques.

What Lien Meili didn’t understand was that even being reincarnated, Qiu Zhen understood a lot of things. He didn’t need to have anyone help him cultivate because he knew many ways to do it. The only thing Qiu Zhen was worried about was if his new body had cultivation talent above his old one.
Cultivation talent can be broken down into three different types, poor, normal, and elite. Poor talent means that the cultivator can only absorb ten percent of the qi in the world. Normal could absorb twenty percent of the qi, and elite had it good absorbing thirty-forty percent of the qi.
If he had poor talent then it would take him decades before he could even reach the level of his brother, and during that time the cultivation world would change. Qiu Zhen sat down and closed off his senses trying to connect to the heavens.
Sitting down while crossing his legs, Qiu Zhen started breathing through his nose and out his mouth, he started to slowly absorb the qi in the air. If you were to look at him you could see that his whole body was glowing with a blue aura. This aura was a state in which no one reached before, a state that absorbed qi at an unimaginable rate.
Qiu Zhen was shocked that his talent surpassed his imaginations, he didn’t absorb twenty-forty percent of the qi. He absorbed one hundred percent and it was highly pure. He didn’t understand why his body absorbed percent, but he didn’t question it and sat cultivating.
If his speed keep going at this pace, you could say that it would only take a matter of twenty or thirty years before he reached Paragon of Truth level. This was terrifying considering that the youngest person in history who achieved this was only twenty-seven, Qiu Zhen could rival that person.
Lien Meili was cultivating in her own room, when she sensed the qi drifting in the air going outside. ‘What could have caused this’ is the only thing that went on in her mind. You must know that the rate the qi was leaving was close to how fast it was made.

Arriving at the source, she seen Qiu Zhen meditating and absorbing the qi in the world. This greatly shocked her since she never taught him any cultivation techniques. She knew that he had talent but never would she have guessed it was to this degree. A smile appeared on her face and she went back to her own cultivation.
Soaring Dragon Continent, Emperor’s Palace
In the Emperor’s palace a black haired man was seated in his chair looking upon another man. His expression was not good, this was due to the news that he had received from the man. The seven kingdoms are suspecting that it had to be someone who was close to the emperor that poisoned him, and he was one of their prime suspects.
“Chang Chi, what are we going to do? If they were to link the events that happened before he died no doubt they would trace it back to us. When the emperor and you went to god's temple you both came back bearing good news, and two weeks later the emperor died and the treasure he found was gone.”
That's right, the person seated was Chang Chi the emperor's brother, the person that forced the emperor to choose death. Currently in the cultivation world a storm was brewing, and everyone wanted to know how an Immortal who had an unlimited lifespan would die without any notice.
They allied together and brought a person known as 'God hands' to inspect Chang Mu’s body, only to find that his meridians were blocked and he was a mortal. This news shocked them greatly, and they knew that someone had to poison him. Since they hardly had contact with the emperor, the prime suspects were those in the palace, but considering the strength within the palace it could only be ten people.
Chang Chi kept shaking his head and denying that it wasn’t him and that he couldn’t harm his own brother. On the outside he showed a resolute face, however on the inside he was scared for his life. If they were to find out that he forced the emperor's hand, they would kill him and his whole family.
Chang Chi’s eyes turned cold as he looked at the man in front of him. “Kill! Kill everyone who knows of that matter, we can’t leave any witnesses.”
This was his only option, killing those who knew what happened. If he killed all of them no would would tell anything that happened, he would try to hide this from everyone and carry it to the grave with him. Chang Chi also knows that this won’t be easy because the people that were there were people whose strength equaled his own. Not only that, but this would cause the cultivation world upside down, because when they lose twenty-six Paragons of Truth then they would suspect someone was cleaning house.
This meant he needed to be discreet to make sure no one will find out about it. Chang Chi started writing a letter for someone, and on it were a list of names. This letter was going to an assassin who would take care of it for him, and the letter would burn after being read so it wouldn’t trace back to him.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
