Am I the only one who feels sad when you know that a character of yours won't appear again :?
Second Chapter of the day, enjoy!
Soaring Dragon Continent, Sky Serpent school
The youths now had another competitor to look out for, and his name was Qiu Zhen. Qiu Zhen beat someone who was at the first level of the Dao realm, meaning his combat abilities surpassed common sense. If a person beat someone who was within the same realm as them, even if it was one or two levels difference in strength that would be acceptable, however Qiu Zhen beat someone who crossed a realm.
Beating someone who is a realm ahead of you, even if your cultivation is separated by one level, the person who crossed that realm still has powers beyond your own. A Dao realm versus a Qi Realization realm, if you asked anyone who would win, even with the person at the first level of Dao realm, everyone would say the Dao realm cultivator would win. Today however, that has been proven wrong, Qiu Zhen beat Xin Zhao, someone who stepped into a new realm in one move. This made it even more unrealistic, never have any of the spectators seen anything like this before.
If Xin Zhao was injured or was caught by surprise then, maybe someone at the Qi Realization realm would have a chance, however Qiu Zhen had actually confronted him head on. Many couldn’t believe it with their own eyes, but the facts were right in front of them, and the only conclusion they could make out was the Qiu Zhen defied common sense. How could they sense that Qiu Zhen was at the fourth Dao realm, with 'false cult' even supreme experts wouldn’t be able to tell what his true cultivation was.
Before attending coming to Sky Serpent school, Qiu Zhen has fought against many beast multiple levels higher than him. He survived in many dangerous situations that many others would run from, this has increased his battle experience by leaps. If you add in the fact that his soul has tons of memories from life and death battles from before he was the emperor, you could say that Qiu Zhen himself was like a cheat.
The few people that were left in group 32, didn’t look at Qiu Zhen the same. Previously the one they feared to be matched up against was Xin Zhao, but now it was Qiu Zhen. Those who weren’t in group 32, also started to watch Qiu Zhen and they wanted to know his every move. If they could learn and study him, then they would have a chance against him later.
To them, he was an opponent they would have to face sooner or later. Once Qiu Zhen stepped on stage all eyes were on him, whether they were the elders, or the people in his generation. Qiu Zhen easily advanced into the next group securing his spot in the top five hundred.

He could know heave a sigh of relief, he didn’t have to worry about the Scarlet clan coming after him now that he was apart of the Sky Serpent school. After placing in the top five hundred the disciples had to draw another ticket to see what group they were to be placed in. Qiu Zhen was placed in group four, this group contained forty disciples each one of them were at the seventh-ninth Qi Realization realm.
Group four contained two more disciples who were at the first Dao realm, one was a blue haired youth who appeared to be around seventeen, the other was a girl who had long black hair that looked around seventeen also. Both of them had features that could make the opposite sex take countless looks at them.
“Ah, why does our group have the worst luck! Three, we have three monsters in our group!”
“Damnit, look at group two they have the best luck. Not one of them are in the Dao realm, I would give anything to be in that group.”
“At least we made it into the top five hundred! It doesn’t even matter to me anymore, i’ll forfeit my match if I face any one of them, it’s not worth hurting my cultivation and pride.”
Once the disciples started to calm down, the matches started up again. An elder stepped on stage ready to announce the next match. “Qiu Zhen v.s. Hu Jun!” Qiu Zhen stepped on stage, and for his first match in this group it just so happened to be the female who was at the first Dao realm.
“Brother Qiu Zhen, please exchange pointers with me.” Her voice was soft, when the males heard it they all felt their heart soften.
“Brother Qiu Zhen you better not harm Sister Hu Jun! You’re already a disciple of the school, the Scarlet clan can’t touch you, just let sister Hu Jun win.”
Many of the males in group four glared at Qiu Zhen, they had seen what he did to Xin Zhao, how could they want the same thing to happen to this beauty. When they took a look at Hu Jun, they couldn’t help but feel like they were being drawn in by her beauty. The only one who didn’t seem fazed by her beauty was the male who had a cultivation at the Dao realm.
“Indeed, I hope sister Hu Jun can guide me as well.” Qiu’s voice was gentle and calm, landing on the ears of the males they somewhat calmed down.
“Your words are too kind brother Qiu Zhen, I hope you take it easy on me.”
“Haha, we’ll have to see about that sister Hu Jun, if I take it too easy, it wouldn’t be exchanging pointers anymore.”
Both youths settled into their fighting stances, Qiu Zhen unsheathed his sword for the first time. Hu Jun had a green fan for a weapon, the tips were as sharp as a blade tip, and on it was a design of a serpent.

“Sister Hu Jun, you may have the first move.”
Hu Jun didn’t respond, but her body reacted and her image suddenly seemed as if it was three. The movement technique she used belong to her clan, and it used the wind element. Not only was this move used to confuse her opponents, each image would attack at the same time making it hard to detect which image was real.
She swung her fan in the most elegant way, showing off her charm and figure. Each fan swing created a force of air, that was as shaped as a crescent moon. The power contained within each strike was enough to cause a tree to be cut in tiny pieces.
“Ah, those movements are exquisite! Sister Hu Jun has perfected Wind Crescent Strike to complete mastery, truly making it her own.”
Every time a new crescent moon shaped wind was created, it’s target was Qiu Zhen. Hu Jun only swung her fan five times, but with the images it seemed as if fifteen blades of wind was coming after him. The wind was almost transparent, it was hard to see if you looked from the front, but Qiu Zhen could sense the slight disturbances in the air.
When one uses any techniques, no one can truly master it to a degree that won’t disrupt the air. If you could sense the changes in the air, then you could understand where any attack would come from; that is if you sensed it fast enough.
Dodging each strike that came at him, Qiu Zhen seemed as if he was dancing on the stage. His movements were smooth, and he used the least amount of energy to dodge. “Sister Hu Jun’s technique is mastered to such a level, and the power in each strike even made me feel uneasy.”
Qiu Zhen’s used Thunder Gods step, his body started to become slightly blurry as if it was slowly disappearing. Slight shock waves were produced in the air, when Qiu Zhen was moving each step he took created a shock wave, but it wasn’t enough to do tons of damage to Hu Jun .
The image of him was still blurry, and slowly it started to solidify. Qiu was standing and slowing sheathed his sword again.
“I conceded.” Hu Jun raised her hand and said, before walking off the stage.
If one were to look at her body carefully, you could see that on her white skin, there was a cut that was less than an inch long, that slowly bled. Using Thunder Gods step, one would leave a blurred image of themselves, while the real body is moving faster than any can see. The blurred image served two purposes, one was to confuse the enemy, the other was to house a return point. Moving one’s body as quick as the god of thunder himself would cause one to cross the plane at an insane speed, but without a point for your body to return to, you would cross into another dimension, if you weren’t careful.
The disciples who watched this scene were stunned, all they seen was Hu Jun wave her fan a few times while Qiu Zhen dodged them. They never even seen Qiu Zhen attack, and yet Hu Jun conceded the fight. The only one’s who really seen how fast and what Qiu Zhen did were the elders and those who were in the Dao realm or above. They had seen Qiu Zhen slash his sword at Hu Jun before her body could even move, and then appeared where his blurred image was. Hu Jun only conceded because she knew that she wasn’t his match, she couldn’t fathom his speed. When he reappeared, she started to feel a slight pain on her neck, she could tell this was his doing, so she conceded.
“Qiu Zhen v.s Huan Chi!”
The next match had Qiu Zhen facing off against the blue haired Dao realm youth. After facing off with the female of the Dao realm, he had to turn around and face someone in the same realm. Qiu Zhen wasn’t sad or anything, he was somewhat grateful, the more people he faced the more improvements he would have. However, facing off against someone who was only at the first Dao realm level, was hardly a challenge to him.
Boom!
The qi in the air seemed as if it condensed, then it exploded. On another stage a brown haired youth was standing, it seemed as if he felt re-energized.
“A breakthrough during his fight, not bad.” Fang Wei had been overlooking most of the matches that seemed to peak his interest. The youth who was in group one had broken through reaching the second level in the Dao realm.
“My God! He really had a breakthrough, and at such a young age! It seems first place in this exam will go to him.”
“Yes, it seems so. The others are at the first level of the Dao realm, and the difference between the two aren’t that different. The only difference besides the strength increase, would be the qi the release. Any one of their moves will do more damage than before, causing one to be closer to complete mastery!”
The youths in group one groaned, the group just got a lot harder. If they were thinking of challenging him before, then now they have completely given up that thought. How could they have ever thought that someone would have a breakthrough during this exam.
While Qiu Zhen was stepping on the stage, his face was full of grins. “Seems like I’ll get to have more fun than I thought!”
So like... Hu Jun is the heroine? Will she be the first waifu!?! Tune in next time on the next episode of DBZ!

Touch
Touch is a story about a boy named James, and his friends: a group of young, superpowered people brought together by trauma; all trying, in their own ways, to come to terms with what that trauma means to them and who they want to be in response to it. This is a learning process, and mistakes are made, but they grow, learn, and adapt to these difficulties in ways that some might say only young people can. While it may look it at first, this is not intended as a sad story, merely an honest one. I wanted to make the characters human, and unfortunately, that means that difficulties hit them in very real ways through the story, but then again, they have some equally human moments of warmth between one another as they grow. Triggers: Explores the aftereffects and recovery process of sexual abuse, and some other forms of physical abuse. I like to think I avoided making it edgy, but you deserve to be informed. Some readers have told me that it can feel a bit too real at times. A bit too honest. If you like what you read, feel free to comment or review. I like the feedback. Or you can vote for Touch on TopWebFiction. Touch also now has both a Discord and a Patreon! Updates weekly.
