Seeing the way Qiu Zhen was looking at him, and the shine in his eye’s, Fang Wei couldn’t help but sigh. “Right, right...a reward…”

Qiu Zhen upon hearing that he was getting a reward he stuck out his hand. Elder Fang Wei, looked at Qiu Zhen’s hand and smiled devilishly, Fang Wei slapped Qiu Zhen’s hand. “Congratulation’s, disciple Qiu Zhen, you are now my disciple. Truly, I wasn’t going to let you become a disciple directly under me, but seeing your potential I have to say, with me guiding your training you will do great things!”

Qiu Zhen’s smile instantly turned into a frown, this elder in front of him wanted to reward him by making him a disciple of his. Being a disciple of an elder is a privilege that most students will never accomplish, the only ones who are direct disciples of elders are those who have high potential. Qiu Zhen is shaking his head, he doesn’t need anyone to help guide him, he wants something else.

Seeing that Qiu Zhen was shaking his head, elder Fang Wei was disappointed. Never in his life has he ever said he would take up a disciple, but the first time he did, that person didn’t want to be his disciple. This was like a slap in the face for him, an elder that holds such high status in the school, can’t even get someone to be his disciple.

Qiu Zhen put his hand out again, this time his face seemed more serious than before. “Elder Fang Wei, you must be joking, how can this lowly disciple have the privilege of being a direct disciple of yours. I must decline, this disciple doesn’t want you to lose face with him being at such a lower cultivation. I want elder Fang Wei to reconsider the reward.”

Elder Fang Wei was stunned, he never thought that Qiu Zhen would directly tell him he wanted a new reward, and that being a direct disciple under him was going to make him lose face. Elder Fang Wei didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, this disciple is utterly shameless. Taking out a few blue pills, he put them in Qiu Zhen’s hand, hoping this would satisfy him.

The pills in Qiu Zhen’s hand were grade five pills, called Six Aqua Pills. Six Aqua Pills had an effect to cause one to be able to cultivate at a 10% higher cultivation speed for six whole days. The effect of these pills would cause many disciples to fight over them, if they were in the Qi realm, but to Qiu Zhen they didn’t mean much. Qiu Zhen already had grade five DayNight pills, which were of much higher rank, than the pills Fang Wei gave him. The pills seemed to be blue in color, but at a closer look you can see hints of white, this indicated that the pills weren’t the highest rank, but only rank six.

A rank six pill is high to most cultivators, and rank ten pills are only used in grand clans. Rank ten pills are expensive, and to even buy one, it would cost an ordinary clan their whole clans saving. Qiu Zhen could make a fortune if he were to sell his pills, but that would be highly suspicious if he were to just bring out a bunch of rank ten pills, and sell them. People would then begin to suspect that he had to backing of a high grade clan, or he was the one who refined them himself.

If Qiu Zhen had refined the pills himself, then that would make history! A fourteen year old, is able to refine rank ten pills, that is something only grandmaster pill refiners are able to do, and the youngest grandmaster pill refiner is of age sixty-seven. The people who refine pills are many, but to be able to refine a pill of rank ten is something only few are able to do.

Qiu Zhen once again shook his head, and sighed. “Elder Fang Wei, this is truly a gift that most disciples would fight over for countless days, however my mother has given me grade five cultivation pills already, so I don’t need anymore. Please reconsider your reward.”

Elder Fang Wei almost face palmed, this disciple claimed to have grade five pills, which weren’t hard to come by, but to buy one is different. Looking at Qiu Zhen, Fang Wei could see that he seemed to be a rogue cultivator, so how could his mother afford pills for him. The only other pills he had on him were the grade seven pills he has gotten from the other elders during the bet. Fang Wei didn’t want to give away those pills, he was going to use them to further his cultivation.

Qiu Zhen seeing that Fang Wei was taking his time, he couldn’t help but laugh inwardly. Qiu Zhen had a feeling that Fang Wei had something great on him that he didn’t want to give up, so he decided to try and make Qiu Zhen his disciple. When he declined being a disciple, Fang Wei then gave him cultivation pills, but when Qiu Zhen said that he already had some, it seemed like Fang Wei was about to smack himself several times. Now Qiu Zhen knows that Fang Wei truly has something great that he doesn’t want to give up, so Qiu Zhen can only keep making him change the reward.

Elder Fang Wei produced a grade seven pill, and held it in his hand, he only had ten of these pills and now one was going away. Seeing how Qiu Zhen seemed calm, Fang Wei wondered if he should really pass this pill on to him. Gritting his teeth, Fang Wei tossed the pill over to Qiu Zhen.

Qiu Zhen looked at the white and light blue pill in his hand, and he examined it. This pill was a grade seven Celestial Pill, if one were to consume it, it would accelerate the qi you absorb by 150% for four hours. Usually this pill appeared in the hands of early stage Paragon’s, and late stage Mystical realm cultivators. “Ah, so this is what he didn't want to hand over. *sigh* Sadly it’s only a rank four pill, instead of rank ten, the effects of it will be lower.”

Elder Fang Wei was just about to leave when Qiu Zhen tugged on his sleeve. “What does he want now, more pills!?” Fang Wei took a glance at Qiu Zhen who held the pill up to Fang Wei as if he wanted to return it. Inside Fang Wei was screaming his lungs off, if this disciple of his didn’t even want a grade seven pill, then what did he want.

“Ah, elder Fang Wei, this disciple truly wasn’t in the right mindset before. A grade seven pill such as this is way too wonderful for me, I suggest you change the reward.”

“Y-y-you...you are a shameless person! I’ve never met someone as shameless as you in my lifetime!” He finally said it, elder Fang Wei couldn’t take it anymore, this disciple didn’t even want a grade seven pill. He declined all of his rewards, because he wanted something even grander. The only thing Fang Wei had on him was his Paragon grade spear, and he was not letting that go.

Qiu Zhen sighed, he didn’t want a pill that wouldn’t give him the full effect. “Elder Fang Wei, since you can’t come up with a better reward, how about I just become your disciple.”

“What! I gave you a chance earlier to become my disciple, but yet you declined! Now you want to become my disciple again, you...how can you be so shameless! Fucking disciple doesn’t even give me face!” Fang Wei thought, his eyebrow kept twitching and he had the weirdest smile on his face. “Al..alright.”

Qiu Zhen smiled, he was about to make this elder blow his top again. “Master, since this disciple of yours has so much potential, how about you let me have this grade seven pill!”

Like a flash of lightning, Fang Wei snatched the Celestial Pill out of Qiu Zhen’s hand. “Haha, disciple Qiu Zhen, your master truly worked hard for this pill, and as for your potential we have yet to truly discover it.” Turning his body, he walked away as fast as he could, if he stayed any longer who knows what Qiu Zhen might as for.

Seeing how his master acted, Qiu Zhen couldn’t help but chuckle, he never truly intended on keeping that pill, it was all for jokes. Qiu Zhen followed the other disciples as they walked with the elders, further into the school.

Wonder if we'll run into any problems in school....
