Help me find errors/mistakes, thanks!
Chapter of the day, enjoy!
(So, you'll be getting around six chapters tomorrow and none next week. Why? Cause this guy (One writing this) needs to study and do his exams -.-.) (Hopefully I finish up two more chapters tonight and have NasVersix proofread them for you by tomorrow.)
Soaring Dragon Continent, Black Tortoise Forest
Qiu Zhen dashed out of the Black Tortoise forest with the black jewel in his hand. Qiu Zhen thought about before when he first did his exam. He didn’t know if this jewel was one that fit, but he was going to check it out. If it did then it might help solve the mystery to that cave. If not then he would just give it back to Gan Fang.
Thinking about it more clearly it had to be the treasure that the Black Tortoise left. It looks so simple, but if it fits into the hole then that would make it even more complicated. It’s not like someone would go into the forest and drop a black jewel just for the heck of it.
Qiu Zhen’s ear’s slightly moved as he made his way to the entrance. Behind him were two figures that followed. Qiu Zhen groaned, he has just woken up not too long ago, and there is already trouble finding its way to him. However Qiu Zhen didn’t worry much considering the two behind him were of no concern to him. They could follow him all they want, but in the end they would end up dead.
“Why are you running?” A voice called out from behind Qiu Zhen.
“What, are you a coward? This isn’t like you to run, usually you would try to kill us all off.” Another voice said.
Qiu Zhen slightly turned his head to get a view of the two chasing after him. One was this muscular male and another one was someone who resembled a female. Qiu Zhen clearly heard two male voices, so both were male. However the male that looked like a female could trap anyone with his looks.
Seeing Qiu Zhen look at them, the two men grinned as they both got out their weapon. The muscular male took out a staff and the pretty male took out a fan. Their cultivation was similar to Ye Fa’s - being at the seventh Dao realm. Being at only the seventh Dao realm was not much for Qiu Zhen who was also at the same level.
After fighting with the assassin, Qiu Zhen’s dantian is a lot more fuller than before. If he faced something a little stronger - maybe at the peak Dao realm - Qiu Zhen felt that he could reach a new level.

Qiu Zhen’s speed picked up making the gap between him and those two even bigger. Suddenly Qiu Zhen heard something so his vision went to the left. He noticed a little shadow moving at the same pace as him, if not greater. The shadow was not his, and it was not a disciple from the school. Thus it could only be that baby monkey who Qiu Zhen met in the forest.
It was easy to guess what it was because everyone in the school has a height closer to two meters. This shadow only had a height of around one meter - if that. The shadow leaped towards Qiu Zhen, and grabbed onto his shoulder. It was indeed the baby monkey.
“Eee.” It said before settling itself on Qiu Zhen’s head.
Qiu Zhen himself didn’t even bother with it anymore, he found it somewhat annoying, but it also had it’s own charm. It even saved him from those three assassins at the beginning, so Qiu Zhen owed the little thing.
The school was up ahead only a couple meters away however Qiu Zhen turned right going around the school. He didn’t feel the need to go in that direction or else he might find more trouble ahead.
To the right of the school was a field that was stained with blood. This place belonged to the school and yet it didn’t belong at the same time. Since it was close to the school many thought it belonged to the school. This was true considering where it was place. However the school itself didn’t claim this part of the land.
Many of the inner disciples or even outer disciples who wanted to become stronger quickly found themselves in this field. Since it wasn’t a part of the school you could settle your differences here without ton’s of people noticing. Disciples came here for multiple reasons, one to fight others or steal. When they fight on this field it’s not always to the death, but most of the time someone does die. When they die their belongings are also claimed so many find coming to this field as an easy way to earn medical pills. It’s known as the Blood Field, however during Qiu Zhen’s time attending this school he has never stepped foot in that place.
This is his first time even thinking about going there. There is an unspoken rule regarding this Blood Field, and that is there are no rules. You can kill any other disciple anytime, whether you did it by yourself or together with others, no one cared. Sometimes female disciples bodies were found here.
Qiu Zhen stopped his movements and turned around towards the two males who were just catching up. He infused his qi into his hands making them sharp, while his eyes turned cold. He stood in the open while the two males finally made their appearance.

“Oh the Blood Field, a fitting place for you to die.”
Qiu Zhen coldly said, “Indeed, a fitting place for you two... to die!”
His body flashed as he appeared behind the pretty male. Qiu Zhen made a slicing motion with his hand towards the males neck. One moment later his head rolled off while blood sprayed everywhere. The muscular man was stunned, he didn’t think that Qiu Zhen would be able to kill him that quick. It was only a while ago that he was fitting Ye Fa and Qiu Zhen’s win could be considered lucky. They thought if both of them went with the same cultivation as Ye Fa then Qiu Zhen would definitely be dead.
“Fuck, wait until Ye Che hears about this!” The muscular man said as he started to flee.
Naturally he would flee for his life. If Qiu Zhen could kill a disciple at the seventh Dao realm with a swipe of his hand, couldn’t he do the same to him? His own life was more important to him than trying to kill someone that he couldn’t beat.
When Qiu Zhen’s hand cut the pretty mans head off it didn’t have a drop of blood on it. His movements were too fast, clearly he had perfected his technique. Seeing the other male fleeing Qiu Zhen coldly snorted as he darted after him. Qiu Zhen’s speed was greater than the males so he arrived in front of him cutting off his path of escape.
“Escape? You think that's possible?” Qiu Zhen’s red eyes seemed to glow as he said that. The muscular male jumped back, but before he did Qiu Zhen’s hand flashed.
“AhhhhH!” The man screamed as he felt the blood spilling out of his body. His left arm was gone and his staff dropped to the ground.
Qiu Zhen appeared in front of him with a calm expression. His cold eyes seemed to be void of any life as he stared at the muscular man. “One should not seek a tiger while they are still a cub.” Qiu Zhen swung his arm horizontal as he beheaded the muscular man.
During all this the baby monkey didn’t move one inch from Qiu Zhen’s head. It was as if nothing would make this baby monkey leave it’s spot. Not even the sudden movements Qiu Zhen made.
Qiu Zhen dashed out of the field and continued on with his main goal. It took the time an incense to burn for Qiu Zhen to reach that cave again. He stepped inside the cave, it was still being lit by those strange rocks. Qiu Zhen went deeper in until he found the corpse of the three headed jade serpent. The serpent only started to decay, when he found it before it was still in good shape almost as if it was still alive.
Qiu Zhen walked over to the cave wall where the jade gem was socketed. Qiu Zhen took the black jewel and looked it over while glancing at the five empty sockets. He found that the jewel in his hand had the exact same shape as the empty socket in the middle.
‘So it goes here.’ Qiu Zhen said to himself as he placed the jewel in the empty socket.
Qiu Zhen waited for five minutes, but nothing happened at all. Not even a cracking sound could be heard. “The hell is this! I have to find the other four in order for it to work!?” Qiu Zhen yelled at the wall.
He started to walk out of the cave, but suddenly stopped. He heard it, it was a little creak sound. Qiu Zhen turned his head around, but nothing was happening to the cave. It still looked the same.
Boom!
Suddenly the entrance to the cave smashed together like a tortoise’s beak snapping closed. The cave that was lit before by the strange rocks dimmed down. The eyes that were on the wall glowed white, but the strange thing was they seemed to be getting closer to Qiu Zhen.
Qiu Zhen’s vision turned blurry as he felt his consciousness fade away. The baby monkey that was on his head woke up and looked around. It felt Qiu Zhen tipping over and tried to call out to him, but it was too late. He collapsed on the ground unmoving and his eyes that were red turned pitch black.
Wonder if anyone even remembers this cave... If not it was in like chapter 12 or 13.
Spoiler : So like this arc has a few more things to cover. Has this little bit with the cave, Gan Fang's bit, extra stuff that you don't know about, that tournament (Ah, we get to re-meet Chang Chi.), and the big Cha Bang! Might make chapters longer cause I don't want to go past sixty chapters, but I already know it might e.e

Shadows in the Dawn Mist
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - Winner November 2020 When a young woman is lured back to her homeland for the opportunity of a life time, she must face old fears. But never would she think that facing up to her past would change everything. Is History written by the victors, or by someone or something else...? *** I started writing this a few years ago and eventually fell out of love with it. I never finished it and my newer books are being written in different writing style, and genre with a more planned process. I decided to revisit it for the writathon and found that it wasn't as hopeless as I'd come to think. Hopefully, I've improved as a writer since them so the consistency may vary. Its been good to revisit and analyse my writing which I feel used to have some clunky and obvious dialogue which I'm trying to fix. This will always be my first novel and I hope, with a little exposure, I may come to like it again. Thanks for reading!

Daily life of a cultivation judge
Tired of those cultivators who think it is righteous to eliminate a sect or clan root and stem all in the name of revenge and avoiding future troubles, fights over treasures that end up destroying cities with no consequence whatsoever to the culprit, these psychos whose aim for the peak always involves a trail of carnage and bloodshed in its wake for some reason. Then look no further than the daily life of a cultivation judge. Yang Qing, is a young genius cultivator from a low-tier family whose only safe choice to get resources and hopefully lead an easy life led him to the courts of the Cultivation Order Society. Author’s disclaimer: Hey there this is my first novel so any criticism will be well taken though beware I’m a million-year-old monster who has cultivated the way of the sword to the peak. The daily life of a cultivation judge will be true to its name so it will be heavily on the slice of life lane with a bit of action here and there.Meaning we will see the life of Yang Qing when he clocks in and out. Hopefully, it will be one of those novels you read if you need to relax or are in a slacker mood like one of those otakus who listen to the noises of cicadas in the summer famously used in most animes. And it is in the slacker spirit that chapter release will be on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Sank yuuu Cover art by Conny Schneider on Unsplash
