《The Greatest Gene》Spear Genius

Cain ignored Pello’s advice and went straight into training, with his current defense he could stay awake a few days no problem. He spent another night training, and deepening his usage of his ability before his clock went off. Cain headed towards the lobby and saw a few other people, around 10 in total.
A big fella walked straight towards Cain which nearly made him jump. This massive man was like a sore thumb among all these thin frail students. The man slapped his hands on Cain’s shoulders before introducing himself.
“Hello there bud. The names George, despite how I look I love Genetic Research and its always been my dream to become the greatest Genetic Researcher of all time. I hope to create a gene that's the perfect fusion of brain and body so that us Genetic Research can fight our own battles.”
“Uhhh, nice to meet you George, I’m Cain. If I had a dream I’d say it's to reach the stars and roam the universe”
Cain was a bit shocked by George’s straightforwardness, but he seemed like a nice guy so he didn't mind too much, also most of the other students looked at Cain with arrogance since they could tell he came from a public school. Private school students usually had inner circles and knew one another, however Cain was a new face, making his origin rather obvious.
The two stopped talking as a teacher walked in, he quickly told the students some basics before he dismissed them. Classes would start tomorrow officially, however students could opt out of class and just take their exams, of course only the most gifted students would do this. The next day came quickly and Cain headed towards his research class. There were about 30 people in his class and they were each assigned to a lab. The teacher started his lecture the second the bell rang.

“Genetic Researchers, while not as powerful as Genetic Warriors, are actually much more respected due to the nature of their work. Genetic Researchers create, fuse, and derive new genes that people can purchase and fuse with directly. While Genetic Research burns money like nothing, the amount it earns is also mind staggering, Genetic Researchers of the same level as Genetic Warriors are far more wealthy. Genetic Warriors would do anything to earn the favor of a researcher, so of course you should all be proud of yourselves for making it this far”
“Genetic Research is split into 3 stages, Process, Combine, and Fuse. Process is in which you get the genetic material based on the gene you hope to create, the better the resources, the higher the grade of gene you can potentially create, you must then melt the ingredients perfectly in order to start the next step. Combine is when you take all the melted material and combine it into one state, one has to make sure all the materials balance each other perfectly or the process will fail. Fuse is when you take this perfect balance and fuse it together, forming a pill like object that anyone can consume to gain the gene you’ve created.”
Cain was enthralled by the lesson and jotted everything down word by word, he never knew genetic research was so interesting, mainly because he’s never had a chance to really interact with anything to do with genetic research. Cain didn’t even notice that the lesson was over, he kept asking the professors questions until he was finally forced to his next class.
Combat training was an unpopular course, most students would opt all their time towards researching and wouldn’t partake in something so barbaric. Cain noticed George was also part of this class, which wasn't shocking considering his constitution.

“Brother Cain, we meet again, seems I’m not the only one in this school who also loves combat.”
“Strength is the foundation of everything, despite the respect researchers get, what if one day that respect disappears, better safe than sorry.”
George nodded in agreement with Cain’s statement, Genetic Researchers would usually be under protection from Genetic Warriors so they didn't need to worry about their own power, Cain wasn’t fond of leaving his life in the hands of others however, he couldn’t live his life with the protection of others.
“Alright, the first things you guys have to do is choose a weapon to follow you for life, a good weapon can increase your strength explosively so make sure to choose something your comfortable with.”
Cain went over the weapons in the combat room, poles, halberds, swords, but none of them felt right in his arms, eventually he stumbled upon a spear. The second Cain picked it up he felt like it was an extension of his body, almost as if he's finally found something he’s been spending his whole life looking for.
The students gathered in front of the teacher based on their weapon. Most students chose swords mainly due to its appeal, and Cain was the only student to choose the spear. His teacher exuding a cold feeling and seemed as sharp as the tip of his spear.
“My name is Remy, I shall be your spear teacher, I only have one rule and that is to do as I say. Pick up your spear and follow me, I’ll teach you the basics”
Remy quickly went through the basics, their names and a comprehensive dialogue about their importance and how they work in a real battle, such as lunge, guard, swing. Cain did the moves once but felt like he had gone through them hundreds of times, he never knew what geniuses felt like but at this moment he felt it, it was as if everything made sense without him even trying, he didn’t have to think it over, it just came to him. Remy smirked as he saw Cain’s performance, he was quite impressed and he always believed in quality over quantity, so despite Cain being his only student he decided to train him to the best of his capabilities.

Cosmic Bulldozing Team
"Welcome to the Cosmic Bulldozing Team! CBT for short... references to any other acronyms are purely coincidental." Breve has one exceptional gift: an inborn potential for Resurrection magic. The cost? Every other healing spell she casts is absolutely paltry in comparison to the rest of her race, making her family outcasts within her society. That potential alone, however, classes Breve as a Rank A Healer. By what metric? Well, by the crazy elf lady who’s about to destroy her planet. Wait, what? Here's the low-down: her planet has been targeted by the Cosmic Bulldozing Team, which, as their name suggests, operates in the apparently lucrative business of destroying planets. This comes with the unfortunate side-effect of also murdering everyone who lives there. And Breve would’ve been killed, too, if she hasn’t unintentionally passed their audition for a new healer. Unwillingly saved by the people who just annihilated everything Breve ever knew and loved, she’s dragged into a massive spaceship before, without a moment’s reprieve, being assigned missions to sally forth and commit the same atrocities on other planets. And with Breve's home lying in a pile of celestial bedrock, it seems that cooperating is the only option. And she will cooperate, or so help her, they'll send her back whence she came: into the void of space, where the smashed rubble of her planet now drifts along. "Buckle in, rookie: you've got some planetary destruction ahead of you." (Updates every 2 days.)
