Chapter 0: Kill Me Baby!
That time, it was a chilly windy day…
Her skirt was lifted by a gust of wind, revealing a childish underwear, and yet her eyes were still directed on my own. Her gaze lingered before she spun around, facing the distant horizon.
“What is it?”
I asked the girl, who’s standing at the edge of the roof, with a surprised look. For with a light push, she could fall and die—of course I would be worried. So I approached her slowly, till I finally reached the place where she stands.
“Keisuke… do you really not remember?”
“Remember what?”
She turned around to face me once more. But when she did, her face was moist with her deep feelings.
“Our promise.”
I stand dumbfounded at her words. I’m not the type of guy to neglect and If I made a promise of some sort, I will uphold to my words no matter what. That’s how my father raised me.
“Umm…”
“…… It’s no use, huh? Looks like the only choice left for me is to dye your hands with blood.”
Squinting his eyes open, Keisuke realize that the day was ending.
“Yet another dream about the past…”
Awoken by a lucid dream regarding those times when everything was normal. However those dreams have always reminded him that he’s taken a life. The life of his childhood friend.
The school bell chimed once more and everybody hurriedly left their seats and started to go home. Keisuke quickly packed his stuff and left in a haste to avoid unnecessary trouble. He slept the whole afternoon in class after all. Not something that he fancied doing.
He—Keisuke, or Kei for short, is your somewhat regular boy at the blooming age of nineteen.
If he has any redeeming qualities, it’s his never ending stamina that he acquired from his faithful compliance to his father's daily training manual. Thanks to his father drilling such nonsense into his body, he developed a habitual routine and is forced to wake up before sunrise. An hour of push-ups and sit-ups consecutively every morning ever since he was eight.
His body is slender, yet well toned. Also, his eyes are always slitted, causing him to appear like a cold-hearted person, although the smile on his face belies that opinion. Other than that, his looks are pretty average and so is his height at 172 cm.
Keisuke maintains an outer facade that made it difficult for people to discern his thoughts but, truth to be told, he just wants to be left alone. Because deep in his heart is regret…
It all happened three years ago, when an accident he would never have thought to occur, occurred. It was an accident, but for him, it was different. He “killed” her, he killed his childhood friend.
Naturally, one would be crying over the loss of their important person. However in his eyes, no tears… no sadness… nothing. Ever since then, he’s been wearing the face of a liar. Even for himself, it was a big mystery why did he do such a thing. Why did he push her to die?

Three years had passed since that unfortunate incident and he is now regularly attending high school in this town. While enjoying the privileges of living alone by himself, most of his free time these past three years had been heavily invested by embracing otaku culture.
“Hmm?”
It would have been another regular day supposedly, but in front of his six tatami apartment is a beautiful girl. On his way home from school, he spotted her standing right outside his apartment.
Curious, he approached her with a welcoming smile.
“Umm, can I help you?”
“Keisuke…”
Upon closer inspection, she’s a lady of fair height, with long black hair and fair white skin. Her friendly behavior almost made his heart skip a beat, yet the dark air surrounding her caused him to retreat.
“I apologize, but who are you?”
“Mou… It’s not you! It’s Reina…”
The girl crosses her arms and started pouting. At the same time, a sudden hit of nostalgia filled up his chest.
Reina… That's the name of my dead childhood friend… But Reina's already dead… I killed her… Who am I kidding?
Although their way of talking was entirely different, her facial features, most notably her dark brownish eyes strikes an eerie similarity. It’s exactly how he imagined his childhood friend would turned out to be if she happened to live for three more years. But he saw her coffin entombed underneath the earth himself and that thought alone made him think it’s impossible to be her.
“Nggh!!”
Just as he was indulge in his deep thoughts, the girl pulled him flat against her body and kissed him. Her soft lips and tongue touched his and immediately, he felt heat moved through him. His desires controlled him, he wrapped his arms around her, pressing her body into his, their kiss deepened.
The only thought that circled his mind is; I want more kisses… A whole lot more. Yet in the midst of his malicious desires, he managed to break free, gently pushing the girl away.
“I’m sorry, but could we come inside first?”
Is what he said but, in reality, he just want to sweep her away, that very moment, and have her all to himself. The girl quickly agreed to his suggestion with a quick nod and an enchanting smile. She glanced at every nook and nanny of his house like she’s someone familiar while she quietly followed him from behind.
Is she really Reina? No, No… This is another person, Keisuke convinced himself.
He wanted to think rationally. There were plenty of reason as to why he couldn’t accept this person in front of him. For three years, Keisuke was haunted by the sight of her unmoving corpse bathed in blood. Wearing a stiff grimace in death, her hair was mattered and bloodied, pressed into the hollow opening of her crushed skull. Her mouth was open, her chin receding as though she were wheezing.
“Keisuke, where’s your teacups?”
Without him realizing, the girl was already preparing tea. She casually made use of his little kitchen inside his home. He gave up and just sat there, as he stare at her butt swag side to side while she humms a song.

“MhmmmMhmmmmMhmmhMhmmm~”
The voice of an angel continues to echo…
“Sorry for the wait! Here’s some tea!”
With a loud bam, his poor wooden table was slammed and a simple teacup was placed in front of him. The aroma of a freshly brewed tea tickles his nose. However it’s not enough to erase his suspicions.
“Th-Thank you…”
“Anything for Keisuke!”
The girl casually sat beside him afterwards while catching him some sidelong glances.
He thought, who is this mysterious girl that is the spitting image of Reina?
There was something about her smile and the hard glint in her dark eyes that sends an extreme quiver in his brain.
Little by little, he felt fear slowly gripping his body and an ominous feeling surrounding his heart.
“Umm, where did you—”
“Keisuke’s forgotten about me, haven’t you?”
She cut him off before he could even finish, as if realizing what was circling in his mind.
“It’s not that… I mean… Are you really Reina?”
“……”
She answered him with silence and her face drained of the vitality it had seconds ago. To somewhat dispel that feeling of dread, he tried to reached her pretty face, but she shoved his hand away.
“Liar… Keisuke’s a liar…”
Her voice was barely whisper but it ringed loudly inside his head. Her expression became more and more heartbroken until it was filled with nothing but putrid hatred.
“Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!! Liar!!”
Each and every word that escaped her mouth pierced his heart like a well sharpened blade. But he swallowed it all inside him while he tightly held the raging girl inside his arms. He felt as though a knife would pierce his chest, yet he fought that anxiety and embraced her even tightly.
Think myself! What can you do to calm her?
Panic was rapidly clouding his thoughts when suddenly, an idea sparked in his mind.
“I… I just bought a wedding ring for Reina! It’s in my room, yeah!”
He babbled out whatever excuses that came to mind.
“Really?”
The girl calmed down as soon as she heard him say those words. Upon noticing her demure expression, Keisuke sighed and thought, seems like that lie worked somehow.
“Yes, really. I’ve been meaning to give it to Reina… I’m thinking of a grand proposal to surprise you… But now, it’s not much of a surprise anymore, right?”
Yet another conventional deceit casually left his mouth, but he has no choice but to lie to this girl who’s dangerously smitten with him.
“Keisuke”s not lying?”
“Of course not.”
“I’m Keisuke’s one and only?”
“But of course… There’s nobody else.”
“Keisuke…”
The girl closes her eyes and gently buries her head onto his chest, returning his loving embrace. She affectionately rubbed her head onto his chest to tickle him, and after satisfying herself, she looked up to him with fluttering eyes and said:
“I want Keisuke to spoil me.”
So he kissed her, but as soon as his lips touches hers, she aggressively took the lead and forced her tongue inside his mouth!
“Ngnnh!!!”
“Ch..nm..Keisuke..I love you.. Mmnngh..”
Their tongues intertwined while her soft hand reaches out to his waist, down to his cherished brother.
“Annh… I want more of Keisuke.”
She seductively whispered into his ear as she panted, her lips sticky with their spit.
And then… Shoook!
“—Ehh?”
Red droplets of blood quickly filled his mat along with the strong intense stench of iron that filled the entire room. When his eyes traced the blood’s origin, he saw a dagger stabbed deep into his chest. How and where it came from, he doesn’t know.
“What…?”
His mind went blank and his normally slitted eyes widened in shock.
“It’s too troublesome to explain… So, would Keisuke kindly die for me?”
Just when he thought she was joking, the girl twisted the knife in his chest and flashed him a very scary smile. One that is enticingly beautiful but hidden underneath are dark emotions spewing out putrid hatred.
“Arrghhhh! Rei…na…!”
The puncturing sensation quickly reminded his brain of the antagonizing pain he should have felt right away.
“Does it hurt?”
It does! It hurts!
The pain was even more intensified when the girl pulled the knife out so suddenly, making more blood spurt out as his lifeless body collapse on the floor.
“Die! Die! Die! Die!”
He couldn’t muster enough air to scream or talk…
He was repeatedly stabbed without mercy. The girl skewered his chest countless times and bathed herself in his blood as she wore an ecstatic smile.
“I really love Keisuke… The face that Keisuke just made is truly the finest!”
His vision remains frozen while everything is turning into blackness. He want to scream. Scream loud enough to justify the severe pain that he’s feeling, but nothing left his mouth other than his blood that stained his mat crimson.
“I should give Keisuke a parting gift, neh?”
This demon… Who is this demon?
Rapidly, he’s losing his grip to everything, but before he lost all senses, he felt a warm and wet sensation touched his lips. It was the kiss of death. Her threatening laughter and sinister smile of death were etched in his heart, as his consciousness fades away. Just like falling into an endless pit of darkness.
