“ I apologize for my behavior.”

It took a while but Lisa finally came back from the dream world. I wore the spare clothes that Aria bring with her. I gave her these just in case something like this happens. After that, we decided what to do with the dragon. Apparently, we can’t have the dragon for ourselves. Since, it is a quest authorized by the kingdom. Any loot from the dragon will go to them and we will be given the reward only for completing the quest. I thought of secretly taking the parts from the dragon but Aria told me that if i do that i will be put through an interrogation. It looks like King and his ministers over there are bunch of greedy bastards. Well even if they did allow me take the dragon for myself i don’t have any means cut him apart.

When i asked Aria about how to prove to the Guild about completion of the quest, she told me that i have to bring the crystal underneath dragon’s tongue as the proof. After that, we have to tell them where the dragon is and they will take care of rest. We decided to use Lisa’s horse to go back to the Guild.

She told us this place was slightly far away from her mansion. She will go with us to the town and go back to her home after that.

Now it was time to decide the sitting position on the horse. After a lot of discussion, we decided that i will ride the horse. Aria will sit in front of me while Lisa will be on the back. I really enjoyed being sandwiched between them.

“I hope there is still long way to go….” I muttered.

“eh..No actually we are quite close already..” Lisa replied.

“shit…”

“Master, did you say something?”

“No, nothing.”

I don’t know how to describe this incredible feeling. Lisa’s breast touching my back and Aria body sticking closely to my chest. I was really disappointed that it is coming to an end. Soon we came to the town. This time i didn’t hand out any money to guards since we have our status plates with us. They also saluted Lisa for some reason. In return Lisa only gave them wry smile. I wonder if she is someone big.

“Are you famous Lisa?” I asked to her.

“ ah. not really..actually, i belong to a noble family..that’s why people around here know me.”

When we got into the town, we felt gazes by almost everyone in the town. Some were curious gaze while some filled with hatred towards me. Anyway, we somehow reached to the Adventurer’s Guild. We tied our horse near the Guild.

When counter lady noticed me, she screamed enough to let everyone hear in the guild.

“Mr. Den………..”

“Ah..i am back..”

“Ah..welcome.ba- Not that..are you alright? What happened? Did you quit the quest?..I am glad you quit the quest...I was so worried about it..I told you it’s impossible for you to beat the Great Black Dragon King but you just didn't listen to me..Anyway.it’s fine that you came back safely..”

“actually about that..”

“Yes..”

“I did beat the dragon..”

“excuse me what was it again?”

“I completed the quest. I am here to claim my reward.”

“Mr. Den It’s not good to lie you know.”

“I am not lying”

“Then please show me the proof..”

“ah there you go…” I say to her as i bring out the crystal. She looks at the crystal as if examining it. Soon her face turns blue as she realizes something. She looks towards me and then at crystal then again at me.

“Pl-please wait here for a second.” She said as she dashes towards somewhere back in the guild. She comes back after 10 minutes and rushes at me, grabs my hand and takes me to back of the guild.

“where are we going?”

“Don’t ask, just come with me.”

I motioned Aria and Lisa to follow me as well. The counter lady bring me to a room with her. There i saw two couches facing each other with a table in the middle of them. At one couch was a single man with bulging muscles and scar on his face. The counter lady motioned me to sit. Aria, Lisa and me sat on the couch with me in the middle and Aria on my right and Lisa on my left. The counter lady brings a cattle and four cups with her. She pours tea on to them and leaves some snacks along with the tea.

The Man take a sip from the cup before he began talking.

“Hello, Mr. Den, My name is Carlos. I am the Guild manager of the Niveta town.”

“Hello, I am Den, She is Aria and she is Lisa, May i ask why are we here?”

I was still tense by the whole situation. While Lisa was calm all along, sipping the tea and munching the snacks.

“ Yes, it seems the proof that you brought is genuine. I am quite curious what kind of person can kill something like that? and how strong he really is?”

“Is it necessary for me to answer your questions?” His eyebrow flinched at my question. I can tell he is irritated. Certainly, it is not necessary for me to answer his questions. I have not done anything illegal. Maybe they bring me here just in case something goes wrong.

The Guild manager takes another sip of the tea. Does he uses the tea to calm himself down?

“You know Mr. Den, How stupid does it sound when you say that a guy with only good enough to be a B rank killed a something as powerful as dragon. This quest is given by the Kingdom, when we will tell them this, they are to going to look out for you, they will hunt you wherever you are, they will torture you until you tell them how you did it? So it is better for you tell us now that what kind of trick you used to do this?”

Shit..i am screwed. If i don’t tell them much about it and let this go i will get into the trouble in future and if i do tell them about my ability, it will be revealed for whole world to know.

“Master..” Aria notices my expression and gives me worried expression. I pat her head and show her a smile.

sigh...i was thinking of hiding it as long as i could. It was going to be my trump card. Anyway, it looks like i have to give up on it now. As i was about to speak, Lisa put her hand in front of my face. She takes another sip of tea before speaking.

“Although, you are right that it is unusual for a single person to kill a dragon but he still has all the rights to take his reward and go. He has not done anything wrong here. There is no way the kingdom can just interrogate him or torture him on the basis that he has completed a quest that should not have been possible for him. If kingdom does something like that then it will lead to huge distrust among adventurers towards kingdom. I am sure they don’t want to let their adventures go to another country because they are precious source of income and manpower for the kingdom. If kingdom tries to hide it from the people then i Lisa Birnmin will make sure that this get revealed in public. You know how much power my family holds, don’t you?”

“....”

“Also, what are you doing right now is forcing an adventurer to reveal his skills and abilities as well as his secrets. That in itself is a crime. If you continue this any further, i will report you to town’s guard.”

“......tch” Carlos clicks his tongue as he slams his fists on the table.

Even i and Aria are looking at Lisa with wide eyes. She is amazing. My opinion of her has changed totally.

“fine, you may leave with reward but before that come with me for a second.” Carlos gets up from his seat and takes us to another room. This time it is a wide hall with nothing inside it.

“what are we doing here?” I asked him nervously.

“We are going to have a duel.” He says as he show me a smirk.

“what..”

“If what you said is true then your status should be good enough to beat me now. Although, i am retired i am still an A rank adventurer. You can leave without doing this but just so you know i will have my eyes on you wherever you go and i will also reveal to all the people in all the guilds in this country about your completion of the quest. Nothing is wrong with that , right Miss Lisa.”

He looks at Lisa, this time she stays silent. It looks like i have no other choice here.

“Alright, let’s do this…”

“hahaha...good choice let me show you how a real warrior fights, rookie.” He still doesn't believe that i killed the dragon.

“ You got me really irritated Carlos. Let’s do this, i will kick your ass all over the floor.”
