Author's note : I apologize for suddenly disappearing without even a notice. But here's what happened.

I knew that I was going get busier from April. So I wanted to finish Saving Lisa part before the end of March. But things came up earlier than expected and I wasn't able to finish it. From now on this situation will continue. I don't know when I will get the time to write a chapter. There may be a update tomorrow or after a week or no chapter for a month. I don't know. I will write whenever I get the time. Don't get me wrong. It's not like I am bored of writing. I like writing fictions that's why I continued this far. The only problem is I don't have the time to do it.

Well with that said, here is your new chapter. I apologize if it feels kind of out of place. I was feeling awkward wrting this after a long gap.

Almost after three days from Lisa’s escape attempt…….

I am at the inn from before. It’s morning and I am preparing my equipments for heading out with Aria. Today, we are going to depart from this town. We have planned that me, Aria, Carlos, Mila, Keena, Daniel, Crista and Brant will go to the Birnmin mansion. A servant from the mansion came yesterday and told us that teleportation circle is prepared. Josh and Kane will be here to manage our little army with Rodrik and Gena. Four of them won’t come with us now. They will come to help us just before the battle.

By army I mean the acquaintances and mercenaries brought by Birnmin family and our group of adventurers.

“Master, Are you ready?”

Aria called out to me from behind. She has this glow and this calm smile on her face, and I know the reason for it. It’s from our last night. We didn’t get much time to be with each other because of all the preparations and stuff. So, when we finally got time for ourselves, we made the most out of it. Aria was truly amazing. She was aggressive and more violent than before. I think that even the people on the first floor would have been able to hear us.

“What’s with that glow on your face?” I asked teasingly.

Aria just smiled and came closer to me. She kissed me while putting her hands around my neck. I put my hand on her back and hugged her tightly while kissing her back. Our kiss became intense as our tongues tangled with each other while we exchanger saliva. It lasted longer than ever before. We let go of each other slowly. Aria looks at me before answering my earlier question.

“It’s because of you, master.”

I feel like I would take her to bed if this goes on any longer so I reluctantly let her go.

“Aria, Let’s go.”

I said to Aria as she grabs my arm and we head out to the adventurer’s guild. Our plan is for us seven to first teleport to a town near Bristol castle called Destrium. It is a town with small population. The other part of the teleportation circle will lead us to that town. We seven will first try to talk with giants before calling rest of the people with us.

As we reach to the guild, we met with Brant who was standing there while folding his hands. He looked angry. Well, he always does.

“You are late.” He says while shouting at me.

“I am sorry about that.”

It is kind of common occurrence. Brant is always trying to find reasons to blame me for something. To him I am nothing more than a rookie who is too high for himself. It doesn’t bother me but it’s annoying when he interrupts during planning.

“Come on, Brant. You came here a minute ago yourselves.” Keena says as she comes from behind me.

Brant clicks his tongue and goes inside the guild. I made my greeting with Keena before going inside the guild together with Aria. There we greeted Mila and the rest. We started revising our plans.

“Josh, Kane are you sure you both will be able to handle things here?”

I asked while still having my doubts.

“Don’t worry. This Betro will make sure everything keeps together.”

Betro says while sipping his drink He will also be here to check that no information about this go out of here. He has some good connections for keeping this from going out. I think is he is here then I don’t have to worry about things. As we continued our discussion, Brant spoke out.

“You know you stop pretending now kid.” He said to me.

“hmm..what do you mean?”

“Come on, I know you are hiding your fear. I have been watching you for last few days. I know you are trying to pretend that you are strong but in reality you are scared of all this. I know that feeling. We all once were a rookie. You should leave this to us, experienced veterans.”

I forgot he is same as Carlos. He won’t understand it until you kick his ass. But I don’t want to turn things bad for now so I’ll let this be like this.

“ahaha..Thank you, Brant. But I think I can handle this.”

For some he has even angrier expression than before. The meeting without much problems. We still had a little time before leaving for Birnmin mansion. So I decided to a duel with Aria, hopefully raising our power just a little bit. This was when Brant popped out again.

“Isn’t this a great chance? Let me teach you some good skills.”

It seems like he wanted to teach me fighting. I sighed at his stubbornness. So I let him teach me. The things he taught were no use to me. I have already gotten through that level already. But I still made it look like I am weak. After all, I was afraid that he might leave the team if he gets angry.

We decided to leave for the Birnmin mansion after an hour. When we reached to the mansion, Rodrik and Gena were already there on the gate waiting for us.

“Good morning, Rodrik, good morning Gena.”

“Hello, It’s been a while.”

“Yo how is it going Rodrik.”

I greeted them while Aria and Carlos followed. I guess Carlos already knew Rodrik.

“Good morning, Den. Aria, right? how are you? and you...Why are you here?”

He looked at Carlos disgustingly.

“What do you mean? I am also part of this group.” Carlos says.

“Sigh..so I have to deal with you too..can’t we just leave him Den?”

“No, he is part of our team. We need him to rescue Lisa.”

“I know, let’s get to it.”

It seems like Rodrik didn’t like Carlos that much. I hope that’s not going to cause any problems in future. I then proceeded to introduce rest of them and we made our way inside the mansion. More clearly to the teleportation circle. We don’t want to waste any time. Every second counts. We don’t know what Nestor could be doing with Lisa. You can just see the tension on the faces of Rodrik and Gena. They are worried about their daughter more than anyone else.

The teleportation circle is far away from the main building and somewhere you wouldn’t be able to reach easily without directly attacking Birnmin mansion. When we reached to the place, I saw four people standing around a giant red circle. It looked just like you would see in some fantasy games. It was glowing with light and you can feel a sudden pressure from it.

“Are you sure it’s safe, Rodrik?” I asked him.

“Don’t worry I already checked it. It’s working fine. Just step inside the circle so we can start the process. You will meet my acquaintance on the other side. He will be there to help you out.”

“I see. So everyone is ready?” I asked while looking back at the group.

“Honestly, I think it’s stupid idea to make allies with giants. But we don’t have any other choice.” Crista said.

“I know we will need a well thought out plan for that.” I reply while making a wry smile.

She smiles back to me confirming her approval. I guess no one has any objection at this point. With that said, I take the hand of Aria and started walking towards the circle.

“Den…..” Rodrik calls me from behind.

“good luck. I will be there in a few days. When I get there let’s kick those Bristol’s asses.”

“Yeah..”

After telling our goodbyes, We step inside the circle I breath ones before looking at the sky. The circle starts emitting bright red light. My vision becomes dark as I feel like being sucked by something.

I opened my eyes to see sunlight covering my vision. I cover my eyes to block sunlight and looks around. I can see nothing but trees. Strange, it gives me a feeling of Deja Vu. It is just like the first time I came to this world. I looked around to find Aria. I became uneasy when I didn’t see her.

“Aria..” I shouted.

“Master..I am here..” I heard her from behind.

I looked behind and saw her coming out from between the trees. I ran up to her and hugged her. Soon enough, others also came to this location. It looks like we were teleported near each other but where is this place anyway.

“Where is it? It doesn’t look like Destrium.” Keena asked as she looked around.

She has been to Destrium before. It doesn’t look like this place is Destrium. I guess there is some problem with the teleportation circle.

“Wait did you hear that?” Mila said as she looked around.

“huh..what are you---” Brant was saying something but was interrupted by the sudden noise.

Suddenly ground around us started shaking. This gives me same feeling from the time I fought with the dragon. We quietly moved toward the direction of the sound. We saw a pathway between the trees. The surrounding ground started shaking more and more. The sweat dropped down from my forehead. I motioned everyone to hide behind the trees.

As we looked at the pathway waiting for something, It came or more like they came. There are three of them. They are taller than trees. Their size would make us look like ants. They are without a doubt…..

“giants….” Crista muttered.

Yes, they are the species that we wanted to make allies with, the giants. Even though I said that, I don’t know how to. They have somewhat grey colored skin. They are naked but they don’t have any sexual organs or whatsoever.

“How are we going to get them to talk Den?” Brant asked me while his face turned pale.

I looked around pondering for a while before making decision.

“Well, I guess we should use this chance right.”

I stepped out from behind the tree.

“huh..what..what are you doing?” Brant said while being perplexed.

“master…”

“Stay hidden, Aria, I know you are strong but leave this to me.”

Aria listens to me and goes behind the tree again. I get in front of giants. They are coming at my direction. But something is wrong they are not stopping. I guess they didn’t notice me.

“Hey..Hey..Listen to me….HEYYYYYY…..”

I tried shouting several times but nothing happens. I took one big stone from ground. I poured mana into my hand and threw it with all my force. The stone hit one of the giants and it finally looked down. He noticed me and crouched down bringing his face near me. I block my nose with my hand because of the bad smell coming from his mouth.

“HUMAN…..WHY..A...HUMAN..HERE”

It talked. Alright, let’s get started.

“Hello there my name is Den.”

“DEN….HUMAN DEN..WHY YOU HERE.”

“I have something to talk with your people. Can I see your leader?”

“LEADER?..ELDER…”

“yes, yes elder..I have something to talk that you may like.”

“LIES...YOU..HUMANS..DECEIVED US BEFORE…”

“no no..I am not like those people. Believe me.”

“YOU HUMANS LIE...YOU WANT OUR FOREST….WE DON’T TRUST YOU.”

I can already feel this conversation going wrong way but I have to do this anyway.

“If you give me a chance, we may be able to save your forest.”

“NO..GO AWAY..”

It tries to push me away with his giant hand. But it still had strength to throw me away. If it wasn’t for me putting mana to strengthen my body, I would have sent flying away. On the other hand, they got irritated by this. The second giant attacked me by stomping his foot on the ground. I escaped right in time. Now the situation got worse. They are aiming for my life.

I take my sword out. I have no choice but to fight here. All three tried to stomp me with their feets multiple times. But I dodged them all. They are strong but nowhere near as fast as me. One of them crouched down to grab me with it’s hand. But I was waiting for this chance. I quickly covered the distance between us and pierced it’s left eye with my sword. I did not take the sword out nor let go of the hilt. The giant got up screaming. Now I was above the ground on a giants head barely hanging myself with my sword. The giant grabbed me with it’s hand and started squeezing me in it’s palm. I felt bones crushing inside me.

For last few days, I forgot the taste of pain. Now I remember it, the horrifying feeling that makes you want to leave everything behind. But I wasn’t going to do that, I greeted my teeths. I used all my strength to push away his hand. Slowly it’s hand starts to open up. I looked like some super human trying to fight this huge monster. Once I loosened it’s grip I used my sword to cut off it’s finger.

“GUAAAAAAAHHHH…..”

It screamed in agony. I fell down on the ground from that height. I think I broke some ribs. I was injured really bad. The other giant stomped it’s feet on the ground again. I dodged it and struck my sword at it’s foot. It immediately lifts it’s foot and I go for the other one. I hit it’s other foot as hard as I could with my sword. I teared out it’s flesh as I struck the sword deep into it’s foot. This causes it to lose it’s balance, and it falls down on it’s back.

The third giant the one that I talked to runs up to me and jumps. It landed it’s fist on me. I dodged but shockwave caught me. My body was sent flown away smashing into the trees. But I haven’t given up yet. I still managed to get up and walked towards it. I pointed my sword at it while glaring at it.

The giant looked at me for a second before speaking out.

“HUMAN YOU STRONG…WE LIKE STRONG...YOU HAVE GREAT WILL…”

What is it talking about all of a sudden? Anyway I should not let this chance go. My goal is not to fight with them but to get them on my side.

“Please give me a chance. Let me talk to your Elder. I am not an enemy. I am not here to take your forest. But we might have common enemies.”

I gave my everything to convince it. That’s right what matters most right now is saving Lisa for me and saving forest for them. The giant thought about this for a while.

“HMMMM...I ALLOW YOU TO MEET ELDER..BUT IF YOU DECEIVE US THEN WE WILL KILL YOU.”

“Thank you, I am not going to betray your trust.”

A smile floated on my lips. It seemed like all the pain in my body was gone. I was happy to accomplish something, to take step forward for saving Lisa. Aria ran up to me and quickly started checking my condition. She was followed by Keena, Daniel and Crista. I had to calm down the giants who got startled by their appearance.

By the way, Brant was frozen at his place with his mouth wide open.

“Come on, Brant we are leaving.” Carlos called out to him.

“Carlos, just who is that guy?”

Brant asked while still being surprised from what has happened in front of him.

“I told you that he is strong, didn’t I?”

Brant looked at Carlos and then looked at Den. This times his eyes didn’t have a look of anger or hatred towards a rookie who thinks he is a big shot but pure respect to a fellow adventurer.
