《Kirishima X Reader Beauty and the Beast AU》Chapter twenty-three Denki

I quickly made my way through the woods, hoping I could remember where Shinso lived. I gotta say, it’s nice being able to walk on two legs again, but it sucks that Y/N died, she was pretty cool, plus now Shinsos is gonna be upset, and I hate seeing him upset! I took in my surroundings as I walked, appreciating the sunlight and nature. I haven’t been out in nature in so long, I missed it, I always loved being outside and in touch with nature, it always made me feel so calm.
I arrived at the old town and made his way to Shinso’s house, taking a deep breath. I knocked on the door, fidgeting slightly. I wasn’t sure if I should tell them now or if I should wait and let Shinso tell them. I groan as I battle with my mind, waiting for the door to open, it seemed to take forever, but Mic finally opened the door. “Yes? Can I help you?”
“Yeah, you probably recognize me, I look different, it’s me Denki, the candlestick,” I explain, hoping, praying he believes me.
“Karminari? How are you human and why isn’t Shinso with you?” He began to ask so many questions, and I started to get overwhelmed, my heart started to pound, and I started to dissociate from the real world, so I blinked rapidly, trying to get back to normal.. I didn’t want anyone knowing about this weakness of mine, so I threw off some electricity to try and make them think my quirk just spasmed. “Woah, you good?” He asks, frowning.
“Yeah, just a quirk spasm,” I lie, smiling, “anyways, Shinso’s back at the castle, he asked me to come get y'all.”
“Why didn’t Shinso come and get us? Is everything ok?”

“I really think Shinso should be the one to break the news…”
Mic frowns more, “is it really that bad?” I don’t say anything as I look at the ground, causing Mic to sign, “alright, I’ll get Shota and we’ll head back to the castle, we’ll meet you there.” I nod and head back, thankful that it was over, I didn’t want to tell them, I don’t know how to break news like that to someone…
I quickly made my way back to the castle, looking around at the nature, it looked so peaceful, I wish it didn’t have to end. I wish it could stay like this forever, but unfortunately it can’t. Y/N’s dead, Shinsos devastated, Eris probably scared for life, and Kirishima isn’t going to get over this any time soon.
When I arrived back at the castle, I walked inside to see everyone in the same place they were in when I left. Kirishima was still holding Y/N, Shinso was still hugging Eri on the floor by the couch, and the couples were sitting on the ground, grieving together. Honestly, it was really depressing, although I guess that should be expected, especially since we just lost a friend, Shinso and Eri lost a sister, and Kiri lost a lover. I went over and sat down by Shinso, grabbing his hand in mine, rubbing the back of his hand with my thumb, trying to comfort him.
Everyone sat there in silence except for the sounds of sniffling until Aizawa and Mic arrived, they rushed in without knocking, but who could blame them? There was some extremely bad news coming. I watched as Aizawa scanned the room, his eyes stopping on Y/N who was in Kirishima’s arms, his eyes then traveled down to where Shinso, Eri, and I were, as his eyes widened, “Hitoshi...don’t tell me…” He trails off, not able to finish the sentence. Hitoshi just nodded, trying not to cry again, “h-how did this happen?” Mic asked, and even though it was Mic, I could hear his voice begin to break.

“It’s my fault,” Kirishima whimpers, “Dabi attacked me and she jumped in front of me, I wasn’t able to save her, I’m sorry.”
“That doesn’t make it your fault Kirishima, Y/N just doesn’t like to see others get hurt...I see the curse is broken.” Mic points out.
“Yeah...It’s all thanks to Y/N…” Kirishima says, his voice on the verge of breaking, “I just wish she was still here...I wish I got to spend more time with her…”
Aizawa stared at Y/N, then crouched down beside Eri, “Eri? Are you ok?” He asks, softly. Eri shakes her head and moves from Hitoshi’s lap into Aizawa’s arms, hugging him tightly. She was shaking from being so upset, “I know, it’ll be ok though, I promise,” he whispers.
Hitoshi took this opportunity to pull me into his lap, burying his face in the crook of my neck, I smiled softly as I rubbed his back, it felt nice to have Hitoshi in my lap, I know it’s under bad circumstances, but I was trying to see the good in the situation, I don’t like always dwelling on the bad.
“Kirishima,” Mic says, softly, approaching him, “we need to give her a funeral, can I have her?”
Kirishima just shakes his head, fresh tears falling, “I don’t want to let her go…”
“I know you don’t but we have too,” Aizawa says, looking at him. Kirisima just shakes his head again, causing Mic and Aizawa to sigh.
“Lets just give him a little more time, he obviously loves her,” I hear Mic whisper to Aizawa. He sighed and nodded, leaning against the wall. Kirishima holds Y/N closer, rocking back and forth, apparently not planning on letting her go anytime soon.
