The One Moon Chapter 33

The show was cruel. On the first ranking, the last three would be eliminated.

Miyu explained what was going to happen and everyone was shocked. Out of 10, three contestants/groups would be gone.

Miyu ensured that they shouldn’t be too depressed and keep on moving. Then, he announced the rankings starting from the top three.

“Third place is……Buzz Boys!”

Buzz Boys was the group with Jeon Taehyun. Han having a connection with them clapped a little louder for them.

“Second place is Park Jonghyuk!” He was a solo contestant that was very good at singing and dancing. Han thought he was really cool.

“Now, the first place is… going to be announced after the middle placers.”

“4th place will be announced!” Everyone was getting annoyed at the slow pace of presenting the ranking. It was killing them inside.

“4th place is…… J boys!”

The Swan boys cheered loudly for them and Han smiled back at Minato who was waving to him.

They got up to the stage and stood at their assigned place as 4th place

The other rankings went like this.

5th place - - Hong Jaehyun

6th place - - Asmo Guys

7th place - -Ocha Lovers

Eliminated contestants:

8th - - Lim Youngsuk

9th - - SnowDrops

10th - - Red Lovers

Then, first place was easily predicted to be Swan Boys. It was cruel honestly, making Swan boys wait till the end to enjoy the 1st place.

“Now, as we all probably know now, 1st place is Swan Boys!!”

They came up to the stage and each got sapphire pins they clipped on their clothes.

“Now, what do you have to say for winning 1st place?”

Junghwan spoke to us as the leader. “I’d like to thank the rest of the contestants for voting for us. I hope we can all meet again. Everyone worked hard and every performance was very good. I can’t believe three contestants are being let go. And to our audience on TV, we’ll work our hardest, I hope you vote for us in the upcoming episodes!”

He bowed down so the rest of the members bowed down too. Then Miyu talked to Moonhan.

“Now, I have one more thing to say before the ending announcement. Moonhan, how did you get so good?!”

Moonhan was a little surprised at the sudden question targeted to him but replied calmly.

“I worked hard during practice, my vocal trainer and members believed I had the best voice for emotions and I sang the verses with emotional impact. I’m grateful for my memberin and coach for teaching and believing me.”

“I see, I see, you did well.”

He then went to the next announcement.

“Now, Now, I will now announce the next theme for performing.”

“It is a unit group. You will be split with other group members and work together. The aim is to get the highest among each other in the unit to win points to be the final winner. Groups will be decided by random. Here’s a box of balls with everyone’s name on it. I will grab a ball and that person will be put into a group.”

“Of course, 1st place gets an advantage. Swan boys, why don’t you look behind you.”

They turned around and 7 songs were listed.

“What you guys didn’t know is our staff members also voted.”

“They voted for the ranking of the 1st place members. Among the members, the most popular one among you guys get to pick a song for yourself.”

Choosing a song is important as some didn’t match a specific voice or the dance was too advanced, etc.

“The first place out of the members is…… WOONG!”

The other members cheered and congratulated Woong.

Miyu then spoke. “Now, Woong, what song will you choose?”

Woong contemplated for a while. Each song had a number next to it. He was curious about that so he asked.

“Umm, I have a question. What do the numbers next to the song title represent?”

“Ohhh, very good question. It wasn’t going to be revealed until later but since you were smart enough to ask I’ll tell ya. It’s the number of members that will be put to perform the song.”

“I see, thank you.” Woong realized it was a good idea to ask the question. There were songs from 2 members to 6 members in one unit.”

He looked at the list again, then came to a conclusion.

“I will choose the song Shining Star.”

“Ohh, interesting. A song with 4 members. Why did you choose it?”

“I wanted a song with an advanced dance but I didn’t want the vocal to be too offside so I chose a song that has a pretty advanced tier on both.”

He didn’t say it but he also chose the song because he hoped to be in a group of 4 would give him a chance to win first place, a member to put in the same group giving a higher chance to win first place for the group. He thought the number 4 was a good number of members.

Woong’s time ended and sat down at the area that said Shining Star in the audience.

“Now, is the time to randomly choose your unit. The first three names that get pulled out this box will be automatically be put into Woong’s group.”

Contestants were worried. Some didn’t want the song because they knew it was difficult, some wanted it because they liked the difficulty.

Miyu put his hand into the box, played around in there, and grabbed a ball. He looked at the name and then showed it on the front.

“Hayashi Akira!”

A J boys member was chosen. Akira walked to the seats near Woong and fist-bumped him. The two knew each other and their talents. But, each of them knew it would be difficult to grab first place as the two were equally talented. Each hoped they would be able to show off their charms and personality in the upcoming recordings.

The next two members were chosen. They both hoped it was someone from their group.

“Jeon Taehyun!” It was not. A member from Buzz boys. Based on his level, Akira and Woong were not too worried about him.

“Han Moonhan!” “wow, me”

He walked to the seats, said hi to Taehyun, then the rest of the unit members. The group he was placed in all were people he knew and Woong was in the same group. It would give them a higher chance to win first place.

Woong was happy they got another member from the group.
