《A Knight's Promise》Betrayal

Pinned down, outnumbered, outgunned, and running out of cover the team fought tooth and nail against the other teams who want them dead.
"Rex, how are you holding up?"
"I've been through worse Kent but this takes the cake!" Rex said as he reloaded his pistol.
"Boss we are running out of legroom... Or any room for that fact and ammo!" Clayton shouted as he fired his rail gun.
"Do what you can Clay... Damn it..."
"Kent, we got trouble another team is pouring in from the east!" Marky shouted as he fired his sniper rifle.
"We can't lose like this Judicator Sorrhen planned all this and why isn't Eunice here anyway?" Genji asked as he ripped out a massive sheet of metal as a shield.
Out of time and options, he had no other choice He ordered everyone to hold their ground as he pulled out his blades and the gunblade Eunice gave him and stepped out of the hole they were in.
As he stepped out the teams aimed their guns at him ready to kill him when he took out his mask.
"It's time to nut up or shut up!" Kent said as his mask locked in.
He unleashed all of his Ki channeling it into the blades vanishing into thin air, he reappeared behind one of the leaders bashing him with the blunt side of the blades.
The teams converged on him from all sides with their weapons in hand they tried to kill the young knight to attain the right for Archon candidate. Each time the fire at him he dodges and takes one of them down bit by bit chipping away at their numbers until they are nothing more than a handful of misfits.
Some of the teams tried to pin him firing cables at his arms and legs but his strength was too much even for the knight fresh blood to handle. He sliced off the cable on his leg and right arm grabbing the wires pulling their users towards him.
He smacked one of the soldiers in the neck and threw him back towards the enemy as two other knight candidates pinned him down when another soldier pulled out a knife and stabbed him right in the chest piercing his heart.
Clenching his teeth he pushed the two knights back as he struggled to break free when the soldier pushed a button in his knife unleashing an unknown toxin into his blood.
He grabbed the soldier kneed him in the face kicking him in the chest sending him flying several feet across the battlefield. He pulled out the knife when he did he started to feel strange as if his body was going numb, his vision started to fade, and his power was fading fast.
He ordered everyone in his team to cover their ears for at least 5 minutes and whatever happened to not listen to the song no matter how much it calls to them.
Using what strength he had left he channeled it into his blades to perform one of the Redridge clan's most sacred sword techniques ShadowFire art Melody Nightshade.
He clashed both the blades together like a violin with each strum the songs of the petals that fall upon the evergreen gardens began to echo in the ears of the enemy as petals began to fall upon the battlefield. The song played by the Melody Nightshade soothed the tired soul as if they were being called to sleep.

One by one the enemy teams slowly became drowsy the technique can cause anyone friendly or not go into a comatose-like state unless the song is finished. Alliah Shadowfire used this technique to stop the Ancient Dragon Behemoth deep within New Dawn's Black gate as it had the ability to destroy creation with a single roar.
But this song when played had a cost as anyone who plays the song will lose bits of their sense of self and become extremely aggressive towards anyone for at least 7 days if the song is finished.
Should the song not be finished the victims will wake up in a matter of hours and with a heavy case of repentance.
After 4 minutes into the song Kent looked around to see the enemy was already out cold he stopped at the last possible second to be sure.
The team went out of the hole sometime after as they celebrated their victory from an impossible situation as they congratulated their leader.
He dropped to his knees as he started vomiting several liters of black blood as the monsters inside his body expunging the toxin that was inside his body.
The Judicator somewhat crossed he went down from the podium to congratulate Kent and his team's victory over the impossible. Just before they talked Chimera looked at the podium seeing Eunicia looking away when they heard a massive explosion in the battleground.
His weapon exploded sending hundreds of blade shards in all directions injuring a both his team and Judicator Sorrhen took most of the hit and several guards along with Kent's left arm being blown off in the process.
After the deed was done she ran away from the scene Chimera and Lily sprung into action along with 2 other crusaegrum templars to capture her alive.
They looked everywhere for her within the arena complex realizing she had already escaped Chimera slammed his fist to the wall scorning his luck.
"Master Chimera, she escaped..." The Templar stated.
"Then redouble your efforts I am ordering all Templars to find Striker Eunicia and bring her to me... Be wary of your movement we do not want to cause a panic... Move quickly and with the grace of the whispering wind..." Chimera said as he started to crush the stone column.
The Templar left Chimera to enact his order when Lily saw her friend grieving over his own mistake.
"Chimera it's not your fault..."
"It's my fault, Lily... I had the chance to tell my brother about the betrayal but I hesitated... DAMN IT!!!"
He unleashed a terrifying roar Lily walked up to him embracing her brother telling him that it was not his fault for not telling his own brother. If they did then he would not be able to focus and possibly fail the final graduation test but now he is in much deeper danger.
Deep within the Black zone prison inside New Dawn is the most dangerous place with in the Ark ship.
Here is where they hold the most dangerous criminals, renegades, and traitor knights alike here in the prison Kent was held until he was put to trial for attacking a judicator.
Kent was held their like an animal by his own kin as he pleaded his case time and time again but his cry only wet through deaf ears. His body regenerated his injuries but his right arm was still badly damaged slowing his regeneration.

Days passed as the trial of Kent's attempted murder of the High judicator was being processed Chimera and his mother visited him. No matter the risk they will find the truth they believed that Eunicia was involved as she had went underground he had his best crusaegrums looking for her including Lily and a few Sentinel guards.
The judicators who supported Sorrhen pushed forward with the punishment in 3 days time they will pass their verdict if they find Eunicia they can present her as a witness to the crime and sabotage.
Even Charlotte could not do anything to help her son the nobles are preventing him from leaving Victor was on a war campaign in the southern regions and would not be able to return until after the trial.
Kent asked if their was anything he needed to know why was this happening Charlotte looked away for only a moment when Chimera told him the truth. His heart sank into the deepest depths of the abyss he shook his head in disbelief as he dared to lie to his own brother.
But not all truths are easy to accept they knew this would happen all they could do was stand by him to ensure he did not lose their Fate in them.
Chimera, Lily, and the team did not rest spending every hour of the day to find Eunicia in and outside New Dawn with Willow and Lady Winter searching for her in the out lying colonies. No one rested even the Iron wolves searched for Eunicia after learning from Chimera about who they needed to find. Even the supporters of the Redridge clan and Kent did not believe the lies the nobles spit out against Kent and gladly helped to prove his innocence.
Though the wolves were split their forces one to keep the peace and finding the traitor they searched far and wide to find her. With only hours before the trial the team recieved a report from one of the marines that supported Kent and the Redridge clan.
The team immediately went to Caldaria 3 an agria planet located in the southern regions of the frontier where the kingdom had settled. Upon arriving they searched the many kingdoms in the planet but they were extremely careful not to reveal their identities as the locals are not very kind to the Zerrohnians due to certain reasons.
The team followed a few leads from the locals about a black haired mercenary recently took up a job as a guardsman in the village of Jeldegi west of the city of Vohruhn.
Upon arriving at the Village Rex and Marky found Eunicia at the entrance of the village Rex tackled her pulling out his pistol aiming it at her neck.
"Rex what are you doing? And why are you here!!!"
"Don't try and say anything traitor... We know your involvement with the nobles and even sabotaging Kent's gunblade... Why did you do it? We trusted you!"
"I... I didn't have a choice Rex... Please let me go..."
"Marky, we have the traitor... Contact Master Chimera he would want to talk with you... Personally Traitor!" Rex said as he cuffed her arms.
Rex placed a bio restraint collar around her neck they both know that she is an excellent close quarter combatant and martial artist thus the collar will keep her restricted until further notice.
When she was brought to Chimera's ship the Harvester where she was interrogated by Chimera personally. And out of respect for their friendship, he did not hurt her as she kept dodging the question every time he asked her.
"Chimera don't waste your breath... I won't tell you anything..." Euncia said as she looked away.
"You leave me no choice Eunicia... If you will not answer the question then let me... Clear... Your mind..."Chimera growled.
"WAIT... NO!!! ARGHH!!!!" Eunicia screamed as her mind was forcefully invaded.
Though he was a known pacifist and prefers to take things in a diplomatic approach he is an extremely powerful psychic as he can read the minds of people in the entire kingdom if he chose to and remember the names of all 920 million Zerrohnians in one blink.
Chimera reached out his hand grasping her head as his eyes changed into a dark silver color invoking one of his skills called Mind invasion.
He broke all 5 mental barriers with ease she placed revealing her reason for her betrayal he saw her family being held at gunpoint by Noble Akerman and the money-grubbing nobleman Lyko.
Out of sheer desperation she clung to Judicator Sorrhen who helped her family clear their name from the connections with the Xar-gesh undercowl which is the equivalent for the mafia in Zerrohnian language but more terrifying.
"So out of desperation you clung to those who have power that have i'll intentions... And you never bothered to ask us for help... Are we not friends or as that all a lie?"
"IT WASNT... DO YOU THINK I LIKED HIDING THE TRUTH FROM YOU ESPECIALLY TO KENT.. I CARE FOR YOU BOTH AND IF I TOLD YOU OR HIM ABOUT THE NOBLES PLANS THEN THEY WOULD KILL CORALLINE AND LADY CHARLOTTE TO PROVE A POINT AND EVERYONE I HOLD DEAR... I DIDN'T WANT TO ENDANGER YOU TWO THAT'S WHY I HAD TO DO IT!!!" Eunicia cried her heart out.
"Then tell us everything... We shall guarantee your family's safety in return for the information..."
"I want to know what will happen to Kent first!"
Chimera told Eunicia because of the attempted sabotage she made it would be a miracle that he will not be executed for high treason or a fate much worse than death.
Eunicia told him everything she knew and kept a seperate disk of all the nobles plans, all who are involved, a detailed list of what was their plan, and much more even their participation in the fall of Requiem.
It shocked him to the core that the nobility had planned this deeper than he originally imagined as he ordered the Harvester to move with great speed to New Dawn.
With time running out for Kent it seemed that hope was lost by the time the Harvester arrived the verdict was already passed by Judicator Sorrhen and the council of the High court.
He was sentenced to 20 days within the Hell's gate with only the clothes on his back and a single support equipement only.
Should he survive the 20 days inside the gate he will be forgive only If he survives...
