The vanguard "wall" formation was a total of 5 people who all had decent attributes in stamina or strength and like usual gobura who wielded the biggest strength stood tall unyielding from her position.

The stance these 5 took were really sturdy if you would have looked closer compared to the last time these girls had learned from their mistakes and held tight to the ground with their wooden shields and bucklers.

The wolf thou wasn't just standing idly either it howled one more time and charged from its spot covering the ground between us in a blink of an eye.

The rest of the goblins were waiting for a chance or more like an order to fulfill as they looked at the mangled crimson wolf.Goboku who was standing next to me looked calm but you could see droplets of sweat appear on her forehead her skill is really in this situation i thought.While all of this was going on i was using my Skill calling for all the slimes that were in the area for reinforcement i didn't actually have any big hopes that the slimes could be of any use but i had some ideas that could be helpful.

(BAFF)

With a large impact the wolf rammed onto the 'wall" formation but they stood tall 3 of them had to take a step back because of the recoil but because gobura took most of the impact they were quickly back up.

Gobura did a really good job on holding up her guard and astonishingly the arm where she was holding her shield suddenly lighted up in a orange particle effect.......a skill..a shield skill ?

The effect was short and concentrated onto the shield and with one strong ram she suddenly pushed the wolf away for a half meter which was enough for her as she took one step forward and used a on the crimson wolf......wait how do i know that skill ?

I quickly shook my head this wasn't the best time to think about this anyways the skill when used on a opponent makes them stunned for 1 second which was enough for goboku use her axe to her the wolfs head resulting in destroying its eyes in one slash.

-NOW !

Goboku roared and on her command the rest of the female goblins started advancing.At the same time the wolf was quiet in a outcry as it was shaking its head from left to right furiously maybe from the pain ? can it even feel pain ? The other female goblins quickly started to hit the wolf one by one with sharp and blunt objects they were wearing down the wolf little by little.

-GRAAARRRR

The wolf cried making me shiver for a second but nothing more then that but when i looked at the female goblins i realized they all were stunned for a second...was this his skill ?

(WHOOM)

The wolf got up quickly and swung its pawn to the front making 6 of the goblins launch away a couple meters the rest were trying to snap out of their shock but it was a bit too late...the wolf was standing in front one of the female goblins...she was gakuro...pawn raised it was just about to squash it into paste as gakuro looked at it in terror she wasn't able to dodge away because of her fear that was holding her down......

-Grab it,do it NOW !

I yelled quickly and as i commanded 30 pairs of tentacles flew at the wolf grabbing it by its pawn and yanking it to the left,the wolf was a bit lost and couldn't do anything about it and missed gakuro by a tiny margin which gave her enough time to get up and run away.

The wolf was blind well...at least i hoped so...and was trying to shake the tentacles away but they weren't there anymore instead behind her stood 2 fire slimes which used at the same time setting the wolf on fire but that didn't stop it from moving around the fire was also quickly extinguished as it was set so i tried to do something different and called the paralyze slime while it was distracted by the fire slimes.

As i was thinking so goboku who was standing by side drew her dagger and started running into the battle the other female goblins were still standing on a distance some were injured to the point they couldn't stand up for a while and the others were standing prepared waiting for the fire to end.The first to react after the fire were the 2 agility type goblins which used their speed to quickly run behind the wolf to slash the knees of its hind legs making it fall down onto its two remaining legs in the mean time goboku was fast and already stood behind the wolf and jumped at its back pretty quickly stabbing it to the back couple times which made the wolf even more furious then hurt resulting in her getting shook off its back falling onto the ground heavily...

-Crap...

I was wide eyed for a second because of the events the wolf turned to the place where goboku had fallen down and i predicted what was about to happen and the paralyze slimes wouldn't be able to make it in time so i had no other choice but to do it this way...i started running at it with full force.

With a thought i activated my skill Which allowed me to copy the abilities and attributes of any monster that i had under my control and the one i choose was gobura who had the highest amount of strength in this group !

As i activated my skill i could feel the knowledge and strength streaming into my body the shadows of the dark also got clearer to me probably because of the skill and as i was running i opened my infinite storage and pulled out the rusty long sword which i got from the hob-goblin in my hands the weight of the sword was almost non-existing...come on make it !

The wolf was standing in front of goboku it couldn't move because the knees of its hind legs were cut off making them useless goboku seemed to have sustained a moderate injury from the impact so she couldn't flee as the wolf opened its jaws about to swallow her...

I could feel it from our bonds goboku was sad at the but she wasn't scared at all nervous for sure but there was no hint of regret in the action she took no hesitation at all...

(THUMP)

With a loud thumping sound it had ended there was no sound nor movement to be seen.

-ugh...lord ?!

Goboku exclaimed surprised to see me in front of her but what she was the most surprised about was the way i was standing in front of her with the long sword raised you could see a stream of blood dripping from my body i could feel the feeling of massive anxiety through our bond as she watched me but then she realized something else...that wasn't my blood.

-ehh...

With the long sword raised the blood was streaming down from the blade onto my body coming from the mouth of the wolf which i successfully impaled with the sword...the wolf was not budging at all as i stood still keeping the blade in it to make sure it was dead and with another second passing by a very loud sound could be heard reverberating in my head...but this time i could deal with it.

Because of the sudden influx of information i was a bit dizzy so i had to sit down for a moment and with a thumping sound i fell down onto my butt panting for a bit the head of the wolf also fell down without my support spurting blood everywhere..this time around i wasn't going to faint alright ! But maybe i was going to vomit...

I looked around me for a second to make sure we didn't lose anyone and as it turns out we didn't.We had some loses like equipment and some injuries but those were fixable and not permanent but for now i ordered the slimes to carry the most heavily injured ones into the cave i needed to first take a look at their injuries and act accordingly there was no time to take a breather our wall was down and potentially everything could come inside and...

-WOOF WOOF

Startled i quickly turned to the destroyed part of the wall i quickly pulled out the long sword from the bloody wolf and took a stance.Goboku and the others following my lead also took on their weapons and stood still not making a sound...

(tap tap tap tap)

From the shadows of the wall multiple foot steps could be heard making me even more so nervous and finally as they came in sight 5 red blurs jumped up landing in front of me.

-WOOF WOOF

-...

-...

Those 5 red blurs were actually...cubs little crimson cups...

I sighed and stored my weapon into the infinite storage the little cups were barking at me very loudly telling me to leave i was relieved and turned towards goboku and quickly took her in on a princess carry which made her very flustered for some reason making her look down.

The others also realized there was no more threat and calmed down but some of them just stood there guarding the place while the slimes were taking the injured ones into the cave before i completely left into the cave i looked at the 5 cups for a second...they were making a long string of solitary barks next to the dead wolf...the sound was sad and long to the ears as they got down to ground next to the crimson wolf...was she their mother ?I couldn't tell but i didn't need to.

I looked around a bit more and estimated the size of our losses there was nothing much...i would say the biggest loss we had was the over turned pot of chicken stew that no one had the chance to actually eat...well i have more chicken meat stored in the storage so everything was alright.
