I didn't come out from the cave until tomorrow and just spend my time inside the cave memorizing the magic circles inside the book.

There were a total of 10 spells inside the book,seeing how thick it was I thought there would be much more,but it seems like most of the pages concentrate about the information of water magic itself and how to best utilize it of course I didn't know what the words even meant so thats just my assumption.

On the topic I wasn't going to learn the language of this place just yet its because I didn't see the use of it right now other then reading books which is very tempting to me,but something I should be doing right now,maybe in the future if I had more time.

Out of the 10 spells there were I learned 4 new ones being.

Originally I wanted to learn 5 spells,but the fifth spell turned out to be the sixth spell in particular was something completely different then expected making me lose heart for the moment and call it a day.

The spells I had now were pretty situational if I had to say it,one of the spells I acquired even was somewhat of a healing spell it was called it allowed me to clean and speed up natural regeneration of wounds the use of this spell seemed to be mainly cosmetic and therapeutic I couldn't see it to be useful in actually battle,since it would still need time to heal,nonetheless it was a healing spell and something convenient to have at least.

The 3 spells were also curious especially it was a movement spell it seemed when activated it allowed me to instantly charge into any direction no matter where I was facing by a strong current of water that would appear under my feet,the explanation for the spell was curious and it would probably be a good dodging mechanism if things would go into a unexpected situation.

and on the other hand seemed to be useless spells in my opinion that was... was a defensive spell and would make a 3 by 3 meter big wall of water appear before me I didn't know how thick the wall would be so I just assumed it to be 50 to 100 cms thick,anyways the spell in itself seemed a bit too inefficient since it wouldn't really stop an opponent,but only slow them down a bit,I could see this spell to be useful against a user or just simply slowing down someone,but blocking something was wishful thinking in my opinion...who knows I still didn't test it yet,it may even turn out to be a great spell I still needed to experiment to see clear results.

on the other hand seemed really inconvenient to me since from what I understand,this spell when invoked creates a 2 meter radius sphere around me as the center to protect me,this kind of defensive spell seemed just bad because it wouldn't really do much it was a worse version of instead of being summoned in front of me it would surround me,it could potentially even disorient my vision from the water blur...

Thinking about it a bit more closer,the seemed to very useless only after you graduate into you would become some kind of a threat,but on itself it had very low survivability.

I sighed...I needed to work harder the spells may be useless for now,but they were the only things I had in my disposition as a fighting force if I didn't have I wouldn't be this threatening I believe,I also couldn't just make another spell since it would take way too much time since I didn't have the clear knowledge to engineer such things.I needed to absorb the information I had now inside of my palm,even if its small.

-Lord sorron ?

A small voice stirred my ears as I looked down for a moment...moving my head my eyes temporarily met with another pair of blood red eyes and with that I realized that I had a guest to take care of,hakuro was still here cuddled up into my chest seeking her attention from me by getting patted and stroked by me her request was simple and also very cute in some point her beautiful cute nature was something healing to my soul...something new since most of the female hobgoblins were aggressive when it came to skin to skin relationship seeing hakuro so helpless and almost innocently leaning onto my chest was refreshing and brought me into a good mood,then a nervous one.

-Its okay...

I said with a smile I started stroking her again which she liked and like so I felt her leg embracing my own there was a small shy look on her face when she felt my hand touch her hips and then slowly move down onto her ass it was fun to see her expression while I was teasing her and it made me focus on something else for a moment.

I spend the whole day reading the book actually.I had already prepared some food beforehand for the girls to consume thats why I didn't come out to make dinner it was probably midnight right now and in a few hours the sun would come out again,I had a plan for tomorrow which I wanted to execute no matter what.

-uhh...ahhh

Hakuro moaned and shivered my hand was now directly touching her ass cheek and my other hand was fondling her perky breast getting a handful of it and kneeding it softly into different shapes,her breath was ragged and hard her hands were gripping onto me and her eyes were starting to get teary...after a few seconds I realized that I was going a bit too far and stopped,pulling my hand out of her pants I hugged her and just decided to sleep...hakuro seemed confused why I suddenly stopped she seemed to want more from this sort of "patting",but I told her that wasn't really patting it was just me losing myself...

She didn't understand what I meant by that and just accepted it getting tighter inside of my comfortable embrace and sniffing me up throughout the night as she slept peacefully.

I Didn't sleep immediately and kept my eyes open for a bit while I embraced hakuro.I wasn't really thinking about anything I was just a bit worried for some reason,its the feeling of uncertainty you get when you just stop and think about you did or could have done,I didn't like this so I just shut my eyes close and forced myself to sleep I could feel the wiggling hakuro in my embrace giving me some support even thought she probably didn't mean it that way,but nonetheless it still made me feel a bit better about myself..

The calm and quiet atmosphere in the cave was almost entrancing my eye lids felt heavy and soon I was peacefully fallen asleep...which didn't last long.

-My LORD there are multiple humanoid beings walking in the forest!?

A surveillance slime reported from the woods its words immediately shook my brain cells to force awake when I realized what it meant...Feeling freaked out I quickly got up from the bed...

-Where ? how many are there how close are they ?

My sudden questions were spoken in my own words and through the transmission as I said I was freaked out and forced awake I wasn't even sure what it time it was...

-Lord sorron ?

Hakuro asked a bit sleepy she noticed my sudden absence in the bed and wanted me to return,but I froze for a moment and turned to her with a stiff look on my face both of us met stares hakuro seeing my serious expression immediately shook awake as I told her.

-Get up we are about to be attacked...

Without a word she jumped out of the comfort of the bed and got ready for what was about to begin,I also contacted the other female hobgoblins and told them that people were coming from the woods towards us,at the time I didn't know if it was even the case,but better safe then sorry.

After telling everyone about the situation I could hear mass frantic voices and calls from everyone inside the cave they were also shocked awake quickly putting on their equipment,the female hobgoblins who were guarding outside were also tense looking through the veil of the night using their blood red eyes.

I was already walking through the cave while focusing on the surveillance slimes.I needed more information such as their number and what they were exactly this was a bit sudden,but I needed to hold some amount of control very quickly the surveillance slimes soon reported to me about the information which wasn't pleasing to listen to.

-There are a total of 42 of them they are all walking towards the base a bit fast they are still far away only on the outskirts of our vision...

The report was accurate and with that I also used the surveillance slimes vision to see who our enemy was and when I did so I was a bit surprised..

-Lizardmen ?

Looking at the strange gray creatures in this light I could immediately identify what they were through looking at their scales and reptile like faces,it was true that they were approaching our base,but I could see that they didn't seem to be charging us rather they seemed like they were running away from something...

This train of thought was a bit more intimidating then the lizardmen themselves if they were really running away then what was it that they were running away from ?

-Lord sorron we have finished our preparation your orders ?

Hoboku quickly came to my side as she spoke,so did the other 2 captains and awaiting my further notice,at the moment I was still thinking about the situation a bit more calculative,but nonetheless the lizardmen weren't about to stop approaching a fight seemed to be inevitable since I couldn't see these folk to stop talk rationally doing so would also be very dangerous since I didn't know anything about them...

-Get ready,attack on my signal,we will defend the base for now...

I needed to focus anything else came second we needed to deal with this as fast as possible.

Hearing my orders hoboku nodded so did the other 2 looking at me with a very tense and calm looks on their faces,but still I felt small nervousness appear in their hearts which couldn't be helped since it was happening in such a sudden notice.

Anyways the 3 of them left to their own teams and started telling them what to do for now everyone quickly moved and waited patiently weapons drawn.

In the meantime I was using the surveillance slimes to spy on the lizardmen a bit more they were already half way through the woods about to meet our camp their weapons and armor seemed purely made out of bones and leather their size was a bit intimidating,but nothing to be worried about their equipment was bad,but their numbers were bigger then us which worried me.

Thinking about it more clearly it wasn't that bad,judging them from my side I could see that they weren't really anything special their speed and movement seemed very mediocre to me making the number difference almost not important since everyone here far exceeded that speed,but being careful nonetheless and keeping everyone safe was still a priority.

Finishing spying I quickly moved outside to the field,the female hobgoblins were ready so was I,but before the fight began I laid out a couple things in front of our base to make the enemy struggle before they could get to us directly confronting them with our numbers was bad since we could get easily surrounded first weakening them and taking care of the ones who would by pass the line was much more easier and efficient...

Thinking like this I created a few more ice stair cases for hoboku and the other female mages to step on and aim from over the wooden walls the melee fighters were still under us waiting to defend the base and hinder anyone from breaching us inside.

I quickly finished and stood in one of the staricases..waiting...hoboku,hakuro,hasumi and hobuha were also standing on the staircases overlooking the vegetated area all of them were channeling their spells ready to fire them,their demeanor was cold and murderous as we all stood still quiet...

I kept my mind towards the surveillance slimes to continue spying on the lizardmen while they were approaching us I couldn't understand why they were coming here there didn't seem to be anything that was chasing them,but their frantic and panicked looks seemed to indicate that they were scared witless...anyways that wasn't important for now if they don't stop then using force to stop them is my only choice honestly saying I myself didn't want to converse with these beasts and killing them wouldn't damage my conscious one bit,the female hobgoblins probably had the same thought and treated these beasts as if they were normal animals in the forest.

With the sound of something breaking I immediately reacted raising my hand I pointed to the upper left side invoking the spell and controlling the I quickly imagined what I wanted to create I swiped my finger for a moment finishing the spell process as a gurgling cry resounded through the forest followed by another few cries coming from surprised lizardmen...

The amount of experience I gained was enormous,immediately elevating me one level.I was slightly delighted by the gain,but didn't let it get to me and concentrated...this fight was going to last long..
