I slept and slept for about half a day.I was really tired and was surprised that I really did sleep so long even hobusaku was still in my embrace like I remembered her to be,she never left my side nor thought that it was boring which started to get a bit weird if you think about it,but was also kind of sweet.

My body felt very light and didn't hurt anymore I also checked my status window just to be sure and good enough my mana and stamina had fully recovered,my head was still slightly fuzzy,but I could deal with it without a problem.

It had been a full day and a half since I laid down on the bed recovering the girls were all working and improving themselves while I recovered most of their injuries had been healed the very same day only my injuries needed some time to recover even hoboku had full recovery and by the way...it turns out hoboku actually evolved.

Another reason why she was still sleeping even though her wounds were healed was because she was undergoing her evolution making a bit more sense about the situation that was going on,her level and experience was above the other female hobgoblins since she was the first to evolve it makes it logical that she would also be the first to evolve a second time when that would happen I assumed that she would become something like a ogre,but it turns out I was wrong...instead she became something very different from what I assumed.

Hoboku became a just like me the only difference is that she became a a sub-species of a the difference between her and me was that I seem to be a pure blooded while she was a mixed blood one this kind of difference didn't seem to be very big to me I couldn't really understand how it was different it made me only assume that it had either something to do with her original species...or the element she was wielding which was then if we go with the first assumption then why am I a couldn't I be something like a ? was it because I was a pure at the beginning and didn't have a branch of species to follow ? Hoboku herself was a abyssal variant of a hobgoblin does that mean that her path of evolution was already set the moment she graduated from a ?

I didn't know I could only assume for now maybe things would get a little bit more clearer to me after the female hobgoblins start to evolve on after another It would give me some more insight to this particular topic on top of that I can safely assume that level does and does not seem to have any impact on the evolution itself.

The reason I am assuming this is because when hoboku evolved her experience directly elevated her to level 10 which activated her evolution switch becoming an at the end,but in my case I didn't even reach level 10...truth be told I am still a level 8 monster lord and the level sign is in front of my class not my species...

-Requirements..

I muttered I had seen the notification box appear when I started to faint I still had no clue if it was a dream or not,but now that I am thinking about it,it is highly likely that it was indeed not a dream...

-wait...

I widened my eyes for a moment I was getting on the right path the requirements...this whole time I am assuming that you need level ups to evolve,but that isn't true the slimes ! they evolve after eating a certain kind of herb and I am sure that they evolve in much bizarre ways not just from herbs,but actions or other items...they are alive beings like I am abiding to the same laws what makes these animals different then me ? because I am intelligent ? Maybe or maybe not I am sure that the slime branch of evolution is much more deeper and varying then that of a normal human...can humans even evolve ?

What are in specific ? are they some kind of different being then humans ? are they the evolution of humans ? or other humanoid beings ?

The answer was simple yet again...I don't know,but I want to know.

With those thoughts I started to once again scan through the status windows of everyone looking at their species not one of the girls was a normal everyone had their own sub-species they were from their status windows weren't that useful likes hoboku's and mine were.

I also noticed another odd thing...skills.

Skills seem to act the same way levels act thats what I always assumed,but looking at hoboku's skill I can see that the skill had already reached Level 10 from what I should assume it should be maxed,but it isn't,it shows me that it is indeed level 10 but not in fact Maxed like some of the other skills and when a skill gets maxed it also derives into a different skill like for example when it reaches level 10 it derives into that gives movement correction and flexibility to its user even and work like this turning into and these derived skills can still grow maybe even derive more...then why is still at level 10 not maxing out ?

-Different skills have different limits inside of them...so do species or maybe even classes

I thought and my line of thinking probably wasn't wrong at all.

While being lost in thought I suddenly felt hoboku in my chest rubbing me trying to pull attention to herself a bit more I also snapped out of my thoughts and looked at her...my out of the blue muttering must have probably worried her I almost forgot where I was...

-Sorry...I was just thinking its nothing really...maybe you should go out now I am feeling much better...

Having her stay here all day wasn't good for her she needed food and taking care of business too.

Hobusaku nodded seeing the reason in my words,but not really wanting to leave it seems still doing it anyways because I said it.

Before she left though I gave her a small reward for being so attentive towards me when she left she left very satisfied and also panting...

Cleaning myself I got back to the previous assumptions I had ,thinking of them any further wasn't helping really I could only learn or work it on myself maybe even observe the others,but for now it was useless.

Thinking like this I stood up from my bed and looked around the room was empty...and seeing the emptiness made me think of the owners of this room...the girls...

I quickly dressed up a bit more and started to walk out of the cave while walking through the passage I ended up meeting a lot of the female hobgoblins waiting in the passage they weren't inside their room sleeping,but waited here instead...it was pitiful it made me immediately call them out and order them to go to sleep seeing me suddenly appear out of nowhere made the girls surprised,but also very emotional seeing me.

-Lord sorron ! you are okay !

-You woke up !

-Hobura's cooking was horrible ! wahh...

The female hobgoblins ran forward some hugging me while the others were crying and voicing their complains at me over all I could see that they were still lively as ever which made my heart calm down a bit more.

I waited for everyone to finish,consoling them a bit more and spoiling them a bit too when finished I told them to go to their room and sleep for a bit they listened and left like this

In a few hours the sun would rise until then having a few of the female hobgoblins catch some rest was important honestly saying they should have just used the room even if I was inside It wouldn't have bothered me...

I sighed sometimes the girls couldn't comprehend some common logic most of the time they were lead by me of course and this was also the reason why I hoped them to develop in a better way to think clearly about their own decisions even now I am scared that when I leave again they pull off another one of those hunting accidents and someday get someone killed the one person who I laid my hope the most had disappointed me slightly,but it wasn't all bad...they would learn it was just a matter of time they were young it was okay.

I sighed and started to step forward going outside into the open field of our camp it was quiet and very peaceful dark sky was showered with sparkling stars some of which were completely unknown to me the star formations were really much more different then that of my world almost mystical even.

Hearing the deep feminine voice I turned my head to the left pointing my eyes towards the person who was standing there it was a woman or maybe a girl ? I couldn't tell anymore the way they acted was sometimes weird sometimes profound and sometimes plainly idiotic.

-Hoboku...no,you are also a lord now you probably want a different name right or should I also start calling you a lord ?

I said with a small laugh following my words hoboku seemed a bit surprised by my words,but quickly recovered herself and said with a voice of full emotion.

-No ! I...I don't need a new name...I like my current name because this is the name lord sorron gave me the name I could connect with you...

Hearing her say that made me honestly flush for a moment...these girls could sometimes say those cheesy lines as if they were nothing if they were still kids then it would have been acceptable,but her appearance now made me just a bit embarrassed really..

I turned around took a few steps forward towards the now changed hoboku..slightly changed really her horns were new and her hair had grown really long her skin was darker and her eyes were a shaded dark red the pupils were shining pure red almost haunting,but not for me.

Seeing my slow approach hoboku didn't move for a moment she steeled herself and waited for me to come she looked at me with her usual playful gaze and when I finally got close to her...she shrieked.

-uhhh...

She wailed holding onto her head with pained and pleasured expression at the same tome for some reason.the reason she was doing that was because I was currently pulling her horns gently I had been curious about them from the start and really thought of feeling them up a little...

Unexpectedly the horns seem to be hobokus new weak point pulling them seems to be uncomfortable to her...or maybe she likes it..I can't really tell because of the way she is acting right now.

-Alright,alright I understand get back to position we will depart on the moment of suns notice...

Hearing this made hoboku immediately a bit more tense...

-Where ?

She asked her words made me think for a bit because of all this stuff happening I almost forgot...ah..right.

-To the dark elf village of course..
