-Wahhhh !

I cried out,startled as I felt the pressure blow of the explosion traveling up towards us,the explosion wasn't small at all it was huge so big that I could even feel some of its warmth pushing through disrupting the flow of the air,wylniva and red hawk obviously had some problems with the current unnatural wind flow,but quick enough they stabilized without a problem,I also held onto red's feathers the whole time my body shaking left to right making me feel uneasy me falling off was a bigger problem then the explosion pretty much.

Fortunately enough the explosion wasn't very long 5 to 8 seconds max it we weren't its destructive radius either only pushed away slightly from the gale of wind that came after,the fire was very intense it was as if a mini nuke had gone off creating this huge shroom like cloud that came from the explosion.

-I assume that these are the beastmen you spoke about on top of that this explosion was very mysterious it wasn't any sort of magic I could ordinarily detect,most likely it was caused by the same thing the other tower of smoke was created with...looking at it you did mention that one of the beastmen had shining hair before the explosion went off...maybe thats some kind of unique ability that doesn't use magic which is why I couldn't detect it...

Wylniva commented on it giving her own view of the situation as we both looked down onto the aftermath of the huge explosion,it was a bit bad,fire was spreading without a question and even thought I feared a forest fire to some degree,I also felt that a forest fire wouldn't be really possible in this kind of forest as it was still standing after all this time without being seized by anyone at all.

I am also pretty sure that someone or something is stopping these flames from spreading or the flames automatically just disperse by something that I can't quite understand as of yet,In either case I wasn't very worried the only thing I was worried about right now was the thing that caused this explosion.

I felt surprised that they had already made it here,my original prediction seemed to have been a bit off they were far faster then I originally thought most probably because their lives were on the line right now which is why their speed picked up so fast and looking at their line they were also heading straight towards where glasses's girls group was which was bad in all kinds of ways for me.

Through this thick smoke I couldn't even see what was going on down bellow,the trees were burning up while the wild life all around was pretty much running for their lives,but other then that I had no clue as to what the situation was the slimes weren't here and even if they were here I doubt they would be of much help either since it would be pretty much visible the same from the inside as it was from the outside,they would also most likely perish inside the raging flames at some point which was just waste of resources.

I concluded not sure what to do as of now,wylniva and red hawk were currently just floating above air observing doing the same thing as I was,waiting for me to give my further instructions on what to do.

-Should we go down and check ? These beastmen who stole the basilisk egg are most likely alive seeing that they survived the first explosion and on top of that I doubt they would do such a risky move without being sure that they would survive that is of course saying if they weren't suicidal that is

They weren't I already knew,but even if we knew that they were still alive and kicking down there,there was seriously no reason for us to go there and "check".

Just like frostwing advised,getting involved into things that weren't our business wasn't a good way to live,we also had more pressing matters to attend then helping random beastmen escaping with a stole basilisk egg from a pissed off basilisk mother a whole lot of minuses in my book pretty much.

As if reading my thoughts,wylniva who was flying by my side suddenly snorted in a plain manner,she seemed to quite adamant about going down and there and watch them do their thing,she was naturally more curious about these things since she had such a strange disposition about the unknown,information for the most part and because she could fly she didn't need to worry about the basilisk or any other ground creature to come and pounce at her from behind,she could easily fly away without a single scratch,truly just staying to be a spectator quite dangerous in fact as these were traits for people who wouldn't live a very long life,no matter how smart she was such a curiosity could bring her to a early grave which I personally didn't want to happen since I saw her as a decently reliable friend in my heart,she had a few issues and maybe another few screws loose inside her head as I noticed from our first meeting that she has some kind of complex with her demonic transformation,but who wasn't borderline crazy in this forest already ? Not even mentioning that this was a different world with different common sense,judging wylniva just through my own standards just didn't look right to me no matter what.

I thought,once again thinking of useless things as I stared down onto the ground with no real decision in mind,not that I needed one as I firmly didn't want to get involved at all and with that in mind I was also going to tell the others to start moving again and ignore the smoke,but before I was able to do so wylniva's expression suddenly changed into a serious one as she gazed into the smoke with a sharp look in her eyes speaking her mind.

-My lord,someone is about to come out !

Her words were extremely well timed and precise as only after 2 seconds 3 figures flew out of the giant shroom of smoke and without a doubt those 3 were the very same beastmen from before.

The three looked as if they were soaring into the sky for a moment,but on further inspection you could see that they had actually just jumped away with incredible strength making them look as if they were soaring soon quickly ascending after the jump with more speed.

Spotting them from here was also pretty easy as the moment they jumped out of the huge shroom of smoke they also created 3 separate lines of smoke that followed them behind,closely,even from this distance I could clearly see their current state my eyes picking up on every detail without a problem and from what I could see they weren't in the most optimal state.

To be honesty they looked bad.

They were still alive,but hurt especially the black haired one as he seemed to be bleeding from his entire left arm which he didn't seem to be able to move anymore presumed broken,his expression said everything too that it hurt intensely,blood oozing out of his mouth with a solemn look on his face while using his other hand to support his broken arm,very rough.

Comparing him to the other two,I could clearly see the distinction as the other two weren't as injured as the black haired one was only suffering from minor cuts here and there which didn't obstruct them all too much other then tiring them maybe,looking at them I just couldn't help,but sigh in a helpless manner the white one was still holding the basilisk egg behind his back like an idiot,it was amazing how they were still alive even now,but I doubt that they were going to live for a very long time either as they were still in the middle of the forest leaving from here would take them at least 2 months even the human army that came here previously still wasn't out and I can assure you they don't have troubles with a pissed off basilisk either.

These three also had another problem,that being the amount of energy they could spend at the moment,at one point they would inevitably run out of it and when that happens there would be no more explosions to save them anymore,if they aren't careful enough they could even run out at any given moment and get send towards the basilisk in a silver platter one after another,mana burn especially wasn't the most pleasant way to get to paralyzed nor was it the most suitable way to go out and vitality wise speaking they were already boned in that race because the basilisk obviously had far more energy to spent then them ever combined.

-The basilisk...its coming...hehe

Wylniva said,laughing as if she was watching a few rodents being chased by a feline running from the inevitable,her words also striking true once again as the basilisk soon enough followed the three,similarly jumping out of the huge smoke screen following the 3 beastmen,showing itself and as expected the basilisk had also suffered zero injuries on its body.

The powerful explosion surprisingly didn't seem to have made a lot of damage or any at all not even a scratch could be seen on its dark green scales as if the explosion only served as an obstruction for it and nothing else maybe she thought that she could kill it through her explosion at first,but after failing miserably she must have decided to use it as a space creator instead so she could buy more time for them to run away

The hopelessness of the situation was truly despairing this alone showed how big the gap between them and the basilisk was,I wonder who was the fool who even remotely thought that it was a good idea to steal a basilisk egg in the first place are they just stupid because they are beastmen or something ?

-Ignore them we need to leave staying is just wasting time

I said,getting both wylniva and red hawk to move again as they both nodded back at me without a word quickly accelerating like before into the sky flying forward with extreme speed,the explosion had us pause for a bit,blondy wasn't calling me either the only people who were calling me right now through the transmission link were some of the girls who were worried that something might have happened as they all had most probably seen and heard the explosion since they weren't very far away even on ground,knowing them they would probably get even more worried and riled up if I don't say anything inadvertently making them go faster,I had no intention of making them worried really,but because the situation was calling for it I ignored the calls for once,focusing on the flight while also keeping tabs on the basilisk and the beastmen that were running ahead.

I was feeling a bit anxious inside I didn't want to be the basilisk next target which is why I wanted to avoid contact with this chaotic group our distance was pretty moderate too we were also partially hidden by the smoke which gave me confidence to simply pass them without getting noticed since they were also very busy with their situation.

Is what I thought,turns out I was wrong.

-Princess there are 3 beings flying in the sky following us from behind !

Belore reported to me,sucking in his pain as he held onto his heavy injury on his arm,I felt a sting of guilt and also worry rise in my heart seeing him like this my energy beam earlier had him partially involved and it was really my fault since I wasn't quite experienced with the ability yet that he get injured.

-I already know,it doesn't seem like they actually want something from us,but we can never be sure keep your guard and don't let the basilisk catch you we need to somehow shake it off...

I said,slightly glancing up towards the sky looking at the 3 beings what seemed to be 2 human like beings and one bird type beast their characteristics were also pretty common not sure if they were people from that race or the other.

While fleeing from the basilisk I had invoked my energy beam a second time at the moment I hadn't noticed anyone following us neither did I notice someone else following us previously which is why I naturally assumed that no one knew that we were here,uncle himself had done a brilliant plan for this which is why I had so much confidence that we wouldn't get tailed by anyone from the major kingdoms,knowing that I was pretty confident to say that this is a chanced meeting these people probably didn't even come for us,but came for another reason that involved us most probably their careful and distant attitude also showed that they didn't want to get involved either...

Who am kidding no one would obviously want to get involved after seeing the bloody beast that was following us of course if they really did they would most probably be feeling suicidal or have some kind of brain defect in their heads...says a lot about us doesn't it ? Its not like I have choice either.

I wanted to sigh,but currently I really didn't have a whole lot of room to sigh or complain my energy was getting low we couldn't continue like this for forever at most I could only create a third energy beam and then I would collapse...should we really just abandon the egg after all ?

I wondered,once again looking up at the sky towards our flying guests,my lips twitching nervously just as my ears were doing the same.

Are they friends or foe ?

Is what I wondered,looking over belore and then towards the savage basilisk that was following us closely,I didn't even dare to look at its eyes my heart pounding just by imaging what would happen if I did,the egg on valkrives back was key to us...

No matter what we need to keep the egg !

Without it...

I can't possibly become Queen !...

I told myself my legs moving like the wind as I felt increasingly worried about our situation worried that one of my dear friends would get eaten for nothing belore already showed his undying loyalty to me,but even if I was selfish enough to consider sacrificing him it still wouldn't amount to nothing.

The basilisk wants the egg and nothing more it won't be stopped just because belore was thrown at it meaning..

We need help...

I thought regretfully looking up into the sky again as I gazed intently towards the one who was sitting on the red bird his and my eyes were very distant and far away,but even through this large distance I could still see the icy blue color in his eyes as he could see the sunny gold in mine.

He noticed didn't he ?
