《Archillies Duane : The World Traveller》Chapter 20

-Dean’s POV
With a punch in the face, I finished off the last one of them.
I wonder what happened to my summoner..
Hmm? He is sleeping?
What a carefree person.
Since he didn’t order me to do anything after that, I went on to explore the fortress.
I reached the Leader’s quarters, and inside I saw a map leading to the underground.
Using it as a reference, I went down, to find a prison full of naked ladies.
Curses, if I wasn’t a ghost, I’d have tried to seduce them all..
While feeling terrible, I destroyed all of the locks, and opened the gates.
“Go, you are free now.”
The fog in their eyes disappeared when I said the word ‘Free’, and they dashed outside.
Did they not notice that they are naked?
Oh well, it isn’t my problem anymore.
Feeling disappointed, I went off to search the rest of the fortress, finding various hidden treasures and weapons.
Since I can’t use them without my master’s acceptance, I put them near the ‘Bodies’, and sat in a corner.
Just like that, I passed time by carving women bodies with any nearby sword, then erased them quickly.
I’m truly thankful to the ground being sandy..

--Current time.
-Archillies POV
I stared at the screen in front of me, with a dirty smirk that my poker face couldn’t hold out.
--Class : Intermediate World Traveller (Unique)
--Effects :
Level and ability requirements stay at 400 XP (Unique) Stat points gained from one level equals 50 Skill points gained from one level equals 40 Unlocking any skills will only require 1 skill point (Unique) Able to gain any abilities of the target if glanced at while using. Items are x100 as powerful in the user’s hands. (Unique) Gaining stats by labor is x100 easier and more effective. (Unique) Access to World Traveller abilities. Invulnerability to Mind magic and Soul magic. Abilities are x10 as powerful (Unique) Ability to identify World Travellers and the like.
Well now, that looks beautiful.
I kept staring at the screen, re-re-re-reading it while my ‘Parallel Thought’ did the job of keeping me walking without tripping over anything.

Due to killing the World Traveller, I was able to advance and gain more abilities.
Advancing resets your level back to 1, so right now my level is 300.
With 153 levels gained in my Beginner class, I got 3672 stat points (153*24), and with my extra 300 from my new class, I got 16200 (300*54).
And from the Beginner class, I had about 5200 skill points, plus the new class’ (12000+5200), I decided to put them all into the old skill tree’s repeatable skills.
I didn’t notice, but the 9 branches became 3.
Leaving a 1000 skill points to spare, I used the rest to increase my stats (16200*10/3)
Now my total stat average has become 65220.
Without thinking, I gave a punch in the air, destroying the forest in front of it with just the pressure.
The attack reached a whole 200 meters, with 3 meters in diameter.
I should tone it down a bit, I don’t want to be like a certain person that destroys landscapes for no reason.
While I’m at it, I put on the weight enchanted clothes, and finally felt some gravity.
My common sense is being skewered, is that why most of my ancestors decided to retire after a few travels?
Come to think of it, only 10 of my ancestors reached Advanced world traveller.
The ranking goes like this : Beginner→ Intermediate→ Advanced→ Expert→ Veteran→ Master→ Grandmaster→ Legendary→ A whole new class.
Only one person of my ancestors reached Master, and it was my very first one.
The great great great….. Grandfather of us all.
I’m not following his footsteps, he was very… uncontrollable.
His desires always won over him, it is pretty weird.
By the way, most of my ancestors didn’t reach those ‘Classes’ in the same way I did.
The System doesn’t exist in every world, and if it did, there would be a huge different.
For the ‘Normal’ World Travellers, they have to spend time in each world they visit, learning of its culture and knowledge, and that would allow them to advance.
However, I could just go to some high leveled person, challenge them to a ‘Duel’, instantly win, repeat.

I doubt many people exploit this method, since not everyone is able to get ‘The Wall’ on their first punch.
Besides, no one would be ‘Willing’ to let others exploit their levels, no?
Maybe I would be for Rain, but that is if she asks.
I tried my best to fix off the terrain the best I could with my Earth Manipulation, hoping that this spot will be filled with trees sooner or later.
With that, I walked back to the camp, finding Rain petting Inka.
Hey, how did you get out of the Barrier?
Ugh… never mind..
Once I got into view, she stopped petting Inka and waved to me.
“Hey, where were you this whole time?”
“I had a class advancement, so I was unconscious for the past 16 hours.”
“I-i see…”
“Wait, shouldn’t you be sleeping right now?”
Since it is 5 AM, she should be.
“Well.. I was worried that I couldn’t sleep.”
“Err.. thank you, but won’t you get tired like that?”
“Like you are one to talk, sometimes you don’t even sleep at all.”
“Fine fine, you win, so what will you do now?”
“....”
Looks like she didn’t think that I would give up this quickly.
She let down Inka, then got to her ‘Thinking’ pose.
Ah, she looks cute in whatever pose she does.
Hold off, I’m getting sidetracked.
Finally, she let go of her chin, and said while tilting her head.
“Let’s go to sleep.”
“Alright.’
Other people might misinterpret her ‘Go to sleep’ as something sexual, but all she wants is actual ‘sleep’.
After all, she doesn’t have a skill like mine.
While I’m at it, I could just look at each weapon and examine it, after all, it increases my blacksmithing skills.
Once we got into the tent, I sat down, but she quickly snuggled onto me, not allowing me to set up a barrier.
But but but but.. Now how will I examine the weapons..
And I can’t sleep anymore, my body has released all of its fatigue in my ‘Sleep’ a while ago.
Guess I’ll have to make do with using telekinesis to examine them..
Although it isn’t bad to be in this position with her, due to my inexperience, I get flustered easily, and can’t stay at ease knowing it.
Oh well, it isn’t like everyone is lucky to have it, no? (Except those natural-harem people, I despise them.)
….
-5 hours later..
Since she didn’t sleep before, I decided to let her continue until 12.
In the meantime, I had ‘Read’ many Ability books from Alpha and Elite monsters that the ex-Arms defeated beforehand.
What are they doing now?
I’m having them experiment with abilities, so they would level up faster.
As for Dean, he seems to be lamenting over something, so I just left him to continue.
While I was inspecting, I was reminded a few times of my mother’s expression.
Looking at her made me want to go back more than ever, but what should I do?
Taking a glance at the sleeping calmly Rain, it felt incredibly hard to decide.
Alright then, how about I come back home in 2 months?
If I take that time to explore to my heart, maybe I’ll be able to bring Rain with me?
Or Rain could advance to become a Greater Hero or True Hero.
After a True Hero, she will advance to become an Expert World Traveller right off the bat.
Well, I’ve got a whole 2 months, so I should just try whatever I could until then.
Making use of the rest of the time, I kept casting ‘Heal’ on myself so it would level up quicker.
Maybe I could lull myself to sleep?
Nah.. I’ve never been a good singer.
Let’s just read some of the books I’ve amassed in my short visit back home.
Oh, let’s read on how breathing affects the Earth.
Such a great book…

Luminether Online: A LitRPG Fantasy Adventure
A year after the tragic death of his best friend, Carey Walsh copes with feelings of guilt and loneliness by trolling strangers online. His secret little addiction becomes a nightmarish odyssey when he trolls a billionaire inventor of a futuristic VR simulation housed on a faraway tropical island. The game, known as “Luminether Online,” is actually an experiment meant to rewire the brain’s empathy centers - an experiment that kills the bullies it attempts to fix. Suddenly trapped inside, Carey encounters an epic fantasy world full of vibrant magic spells, terrifying monsters, and ancient gods who left behind superpowered races of humans – one of which Carey must choose as his avatar. Armed with the most basic armor and sword, he must level up, stop a guild of necromancers hellbent on world domination, and do it all while playing as an orange-eyed "Feral" rogue with a furry tail and amazing stealth, agility and parkour skills. But there are other, more toxic, players who will do anything to win, even if it means committing real-life murder against their competitors. In order to win the game, Carey must recruit allies, explore the mythical world of Astros, and unlock the secrets of this baffling new reality - because the truth is not what it seems. Luminether Online is a standalone LitRPG novel, though it is set in the same world as a different series known as The Luminether Series, a non-LitRPG epic fantasy.

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
