"Goreck!"
"Ahh!"
Goreck screams in fear as the door to the room bursts open followed by a loud voice of a woman. Vert turns around to look who came through the door but sees no one. He looks again and he realizes that he had missed the woman who came into the room because she was a Gnome and he looked right over her. Vert watches as she walks past him and straight towards Goreck while she is looking around the room. Her short legs finally bring her to Goreck and Vert watches as she begins to yell at him with a voice bigger than her body.
"What have you done! Why is Miya now inactive! I swear to myself if I have to create a new android then I will kick your ass-."
The woman was yelling at Goreck while looking at the girl lying on the ground unconscious and on fire. She gasps when she sees how damaged Miya is and she runs over to her. She is running around her and trying to smother out the fire with her small lab coat but it too catches fire. She paces back and forth looking for a way to fix this situation and then she notices that the bookshelves are on fire. Her eyes becoming wider as the knowledge she has collected for a thousand years is on fire. She looks around frantically and runs back to Goreck, jumps on his chest and grabs the collars of his jacket with her fists.
"Where is the Devouring Scythe?!"
Goreck can hardly say anything as he points towards Vert and the small gnome turns quickly to see shards of white and black scattered around Vert's feet. The gnome lands flat on her bottom after she fully grasps what has happened. She had hoped her most promising student would report to her when the God they found had awoken but she was wrong. Tia had not told her second in command about the newest God that Hope had discovered since he would try to harness his power and Tia knew that would cause a lot of problems. Tia would've waited for Vert to wake up herself but being the Goddess of Creation she had no time for that, she has too many naps planned on her schedule. Tia tries to take a few deep breaths to calm herself but each breath comes out raspy and fast-paced.

She manages to compose herself enough to think of a plan and the ring on her right hand begins to glow immensely. Thirty seconds later, a rush of wind is heard in the room beside the current room they are in. A girl with white hair appears that looks like the other two but she has slightly distinct differences and Vert recognizes this person as Lis and she reacts quickly to the fire spreading in the room. She pulls back her Scythe and slashes the air, completely evaporating the fire in the room. Vert is slightly impressed by this and gives an approving nod. He is completely lost by what is going on and is just a bystander currently so he is watching as everything unfolds in front of him.
With the fire gone, the gnome lady gives Goreck a long lecture and screams in his ear the whole time. He winces at every word she speaks and is looking away from her in shame. She finally tells the man to leave her sight and he does just that and walks out the door. Tia lets out a long breath of stress and she looks at the two unconscious girls with sad looks. She looks back at Vert and to Vert, she looks very depressed. The gnome pulls out a small white stick out of her pocket and puts it in her mouth and then lights it on fire with a small metal box. Vert recognizes these items as a cigarette and a lighter but it confuses him on how she was able to get these since they were made by machines before.
"Hey, uh, short lady, may I ask what just happened?" Vert asks. The gnome lets out a puff of smoke before answering his question.
"Well Goreck tried to have one of my androids use your immense power and the result of it was this." Tia waves her hand over the mess of everything that just happened. Vert takes a second and confirms what she said. She said they tried to steal his powers.
'Man, is everyone on this planet trying to fuck with me?'
Slightly upset about what had happened, Vert does a click with his tongue. He looks back to the gnome and decides to ask more question.

"Who are you exactly?"
"I am Tia, Goddess of Creation. Founder of Hope and creator of the three girls surrounding you and their weapons. One of which you shattered to pieces." Tia put extra emphasis on the last part of the sentence and Vert retorted with a slightly annoyed response.
"I wouldn't have had to shatter it if you guys did take my powers from me and on top of that use them for yourselves."
"Touché."
The two stand awkwardly there for a second while the girl with white hair stands in the middle of the room, looking at her fallen sisters. Vert is a little upset that he has had to deal with Myria and Sekreath and if he is honest with himself, he doesn't have the mental strength to fight another one but if it is necessary he will do so.
"Well, are you going to show me the way out of her or will I have to fight my way out?"
Tia takes a little while to think about her answers while she continues to smoke her cigarette. She is looking at Vert with intrigued eyes and he doesn't know what she is thinking but he sure as hell doesn't trust it.
"I didn't even get your name of what God you are, could you at least give me that."
Vert narrows his eyes since the last time this happened they tried to steal his powers but he remembers how easy it was to get them back so he prepares of himself but will answer Tia's questions for now. He activates an Eye of the Reaper and focuses all of his remaining energy into his body even though there is not much there. He has still yet to truly recover from his past fights.
"I am Vert, a God relating to that of Life but only the end of it."
"And how long have you been out of your starting room?"
"Not even a year." Vert responds while trying to be as vague as possible. Tia mumbles something under her breath and he swears she said 'Impossible' but he brushes it off.
"Hmmm, is there anything I can offer to convince you to help us defeat the Army of Gods?"
"Not now."
"Not now, why?"
"Well if I am honest with you, I was all for it at first but now that I have my powers back I would like to rest since my past fights still effect me and I would like to learn about my own abilities a little more before I do so."
"So you're basically injured correct."
Tia says this with a smile and Vert thinks about what he had just confessed to. The hair on the back of his neck stand straight up and he can feel something very bad is going to happen soon but he had prepared for this. A bright flash is seen within the room but before Vert was hit by it he disappears inside of a black hole, going into his Underworld where he can be safe from danger. Tia laughs at this and gives credit where credit is due.
"He is smarter than he looks, that's for sure. Being so vague I couldn't have Liz take his powers. I was going to torture him too for making me make a new Android and a new Scythe. Guess we will have to find where he went later. Liz, take your poor excuse of a sister to the salvage room."
Liz heard this command and hesitated as a tear rolled down her left cheek but she hid it so Tia wouldn't see it. She moved slowly to see if Miya would wake up and Tia would change her mind but Tia's ring grew brighter and Liz's body began moving by itself and hastened the process. As Liz carries the supposed dead body of Miya to the salvage room, thoughts began to race through her mind.
'He might be evil and what caused Miya to die but he might just be strong enough to take Mother Tia down. It's not like he killed Miya on purpose and I know my attempt to show him that we are mean and hateful but it seemed to not work in time. Hopefully, I can find him before Mother.'

A lot of new content has been added to the early chapters since the end of May. The first chapters are still under construction and editing, but all the major changes are done. I was a webnovel junkie for a long time, but I found it hard to find novels with solid characters, decent plot, philosophical underpinnings and a fully painted world to keep me going. I've taken from every genre I've liked to make a story that satisfies my own cravings for a good story. If you like the story or have suggestions please leave a comment or review. I hope this novel is fun, provocative but above all fun. Enjoy. Yours truly, James Paul Addington PS I will release at least two chapters a week, or one really long chapter. Concerning the tags: The story is primarily Fantasy with Wuxia influence in some elements. Romance won't happen for the first two arcs or so (roughly 40 chapters), I want to build the world before I do that. Tragedy is because of an event that occurs in the book, not the tone of the book. The book is more lighthearted. Slice of Life doesn't occur till the third arc (the romance happens during that arc as well). Magic will also show up more in later arcs, but appears throughout. Reincarnation it's not a reincarnation like in the traditional sense, but it has a similar concept.
