《Deck of Cards》6th-7th floor

-Sixth floor
After their breakfast, the group went to the sixth floor and this was yet again another zombie floor. It seems that there is one type of monster for two floors and then it changes to another. Well at least for this dungeon. So following that logic seventh and eighth floor should be wolves and the ninth floor small golems or something. Then the Dungeon Boss golem who probably is big. Also with every floor they go down, the numbers and strength of the monsters increase, but that is obvious.
Currently they were fending off a hord of zombies that were faster on this floor then the previous and they were annoying to kill too, because only by decapitating or destroying the brain, you could kill them. Burning them works too, but the smell of their rotting body is too disgusting and made even one guy vomit.
"Fucking hell. They keep coming!"yells Chris who just decapitated one of the zombies head.
"Hold on."yells Walther after pulling out a sword from the zombies head.
"Sky. Is it possible to kill them by using Nature?"he asks her while throwing his card.
"Yes. But my mana pool isn't big enough to kill a lot of them."she says and shoots her last arrow.
"I see. Then make a wall as thick as possible, so we could think of a plan."Echo tells her and she replies after putting away her bow."I'll try."
She places both of her hands onto one of the vines and chants [Nature Control]. Immediately thick green vines come out of the walls, ceiling and from the floor, destroying the stone around it. The vines starts to overlap each other and soon they form a thick wall made out of vines.
This surprises everyone, but they keep killing the zombies that didn't stay behind the wall.
As for Skyeza, she is caught by Echo before she could fall down. With a tired voice, she says"I used a little too much mana at once. I *yawn* am tired."
He pats her head and says"You did good. Rest now."
Hearing his beloved's words, she closes her eyes and quickly falls to sleep.
After the last zombie is decapitated, they let out a sigh and sit down onto the floor. The fight was more exhausting then they expected and so they need to recover from it.
"Okay. While we can, lets make a plan."says Walther, who is leaning against the wall.
"Well it can't involve just keep killing them. It hasn't worked out so well."says Mari, who then looks at Echo and Skyeza and asks"What's wrong with her?"
"Mana exhaustion I guess. Making this wall probably drained most of her mana."Echo replies and sits down onto the floor, with her in his hands.

"Gotta thank her later."Mari says to herself.
"Does anyone have a plan?"asks Chris from the group and only receives silence to his answer.
"I have one, but it involves burning them."Echo says to them.
"You gotta to be kidding me. You know how bad one of those bastards smell. Now think how bad hundreds of them will smell."Chris tells him and Echo replies"Well If you have a better plan, I would fucking love to hear it. Because that wall there probably will last for ten minutes."
"Couldn't we just make the wall by using [Earth Magic]. Then we wouldn't have to worry about it."Asks Mari and one to answer to her question is Walther"No. For two reasons. First: creating something using a [Earth Magic] is a bad idea in a dungeon, because you may accidentaly take material away from a weak spot and this entire shit could collapse on you. Second: If we were to use [Earth Magic] to make a wall, we still need to get through them, because"He points towards the wall"That way is only way to the next floor. Don't even think about leaving too. If you were to abandoned your comrades then you will be labeled 'traitor' by his Majesty. So we need to go on. No going back."
"So what the fuck are we gonna do then?"asks one of the guys and Walther says"We will go with Echos plan. Because I don't see another way out. Puking out our breakfast later is least of our worries." He turns to Echo and asks"Tell us your plan then."
"First I need to know how many of you know [Flame thrower]?"
Six people raise their hands and Echo says"Okay. Now how many of you know [Ice Magic]"
Only two of them raise their hands and one of them is the same guy who knew [Flame Thrower]
"Okay. So basically. You six have to use your [Flame Thrower] as hot as possible for as long as you can. You will be in pairs of two with three pairs in total. If you feel you are about to run out of mana, them yell it out and you will switch. As for you"he points at the one who knows [Ice Magic]"Do you have anything to keep an area cool?"
"I could create a small [Blizzard] and control it so it wouldn't be dangerous."he tells Echo, who then asks"How long can you keep it up?"
"An hour at that size."he replies and Echo starts thinking for a few seconds and says"Okay. You create the blizzard when I tell you, so we wouldn't get baked here and you six use your [Flame Thrower] as long as possible. By the time you are done, there should be enough Zombies left that we can deal with them easily"

Fire Mages are immune to heat and so don't need to worry about it. But obviously not everyone here is a fire mage and so they could get baked by the heat. That's why the Ice mage is needed to keep them cool. Cold If needed.
Everyone stays quiet and look at Walther, who is rubbing his beard. After a minute he says"That is the best option I can think. Okay. Everyone get into your position. Kill any enemy that gets to close to them, but don't waste your arrows."
"Yes."they reply as a group and everyone get into their position.
Echo still lays on the ground, with her in his hands and sighs. They have two minutes tops until the zombies get through. And of they do, they will be all gathered up and so he currently is thinking a way to hold them back for a few seconds, so the [Flame Thrower could take a full effect.
"Evelyn."he yells and she walks up to him and asks"What."
"When I tell you, cast purification to eliminate the larger group up front."
"Okay. I can only do it once a day you know."she tells him and walks away.
She didn't use [Purification] before, because the range of it is fifty meters and this place is hundreds of meters wide and long.
'one minute left.'
Seeing that it was time, he got up with her in princess carry and walks towards the blizzard that has been set up. It isn't cold at all being inside of the blizzard currently, because it is being controlled completely.
'Thirty seconds.'
"Okay. Get ready to start casting in 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, now."he yells and Evelyn immediately casts[Purification], vanquishing every zombie in fifty meter radius. The mages had their [Flame Thrower] up too and now every melee fighter could just watch them and archers had their bows draws just in case.
After a while, the first pair yelled""Switch!"" And the second pair immediately went in and the first pair left after the second pair got their spells up.
The place started to smell horrible and the sleeping elf in his hands, started to make ugly faces. So he could the scarf up to her nose and did the same with his scarf.
After a long time later, the zombies were all dead and the seven mages were laying on the floor, while breathing heavily. The smell of the zombies is kept out currently by Echo, who can keep the wall up for at least two hours. Only reason he was the one to put it up and not someone else, was because he didn't want to make his elf feel sick from the smell. He didn't give shit about the others.
"Fucking hell. That was exhausting"says one of the mages and all of them laugh wryly on the ground.
"I guess we will clear the next floor and call it a night?"asks Chris and Walther says"Yes. Because one third of us can't fight. It would be easier to stay here, but the smell would make it unbearable. So we have to move on."
Walther looks at Echo and asks"How long can you keep the [Wind Wall] up."
"Two hours. But we have to start moving in an hour. I don't want mana exhaustion too."Echo replies to Walther.
"Okay"Walther gets up from the ground and says"One hour of rest then we move!"
For reply, he gets a weak yes from the group.
After that, he sits down again and tells Echo"I will tell a king how she has helped. She probably will get a reward too."
Echo doesn't say anything and just gives a small nod to him, while holding his Skyeza.
A hour passes quickly and few minutes before they were going to leave, Skyeza woke up in his arms and looked around with half-open eyes. When she realized where exactly she is, she immediately blushed and closed her eyes.
"So you are awake."Echo says, while watching the blushing elf.
"Yeah. It was a comfortable sleep."she says and raises her body. She looks around and asks"You dealt with the zombies?"
"Yep. And now we are going to the seventh floor to clear it."
"Why. Why don't we stay here?"she asks him and so he replies"Because the smell of burned zombies. Currently you don't smell it because of the [Wind Wall], but I can't keep it up forever, so we have to go through it.
"I see."she replies.
"Okay everyone. Lets go."says Walther and so everyone gets up from the ground. Once they are ready, Echo removes the wall and they immediately feel the stench of burned rotten flesh. Both Echo and Skyeza had pulled up their scarves to cover their noses, but that didn't help a lot.
"Breath through your mouth. It'll be less worse."Walther says, while walking in front of the group.
-Seventh floor.
This floor was full of one meter tall wolves with gray or black fur. They weren't that hard to deal on one-on-one fight, but in a pack, they were a challenge. Luckily there weren't many enemies on this floor and in an hour, it was all cleared.
So for now they had made a camp the same way as yesterday and were resting.

The Werewolf Cheerleader
Being a cheerleader is easier than being a werewolf. Jessica Tumbleleague is a typical teenage girl who loves being a cheerleader at Moondale High. But after an encounter with a werewolf in the woods, Jessica discovers a frightening world she never thought is real. Dangerous magic, deadly fierce spirits, and other malevolent creatures. Now Jessica must fight the forces of darkness to protect her hometown while balancing her supernatural life with her high school life. But can she control the beast within herself? Note: This is a rewrite of the original with the same name. I decided to change the third-person style to first-person because I liked Jessica's voice better. She is funny and very strong. With the story only focusing on her, I can keep the mystery suspenseful and the reader can experience what Jessica is experiencing. It is a typical YA style, but it is fun to write as your main character. There are changes, but the first and second books will be similar to the third-person chapters. Let me know what you think and I hope you will enjoy this new version of the Werewolf Cheerleader. I will post the chapters every Friday in the afternoon. P.S, there is a Werewolf Cheerleader short story published in the Tales of Dungeons, All Hallows book. Titled The Werewolf Cheerleader: Castle and Ghouls. The short is also in first-person, which made me decide to change the book series into first-person. The link is below if you want to check it out. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08MCS82R5
