《Ugly》Chapter 4: A Burning Introduction, Part 4, End

Author's Warning: This chapter might be emotionally disturbing. This chapter made me tear up a bit as I was writing it. So, you have been warned.
But Bambi did not end her life as a child murderer.
Sabrina just stood there. She just stood there. She couldn't comprehend what had just happened. Bambi, her Bambi, her cute sweet smelling Bambi. The powerful third tier Infernomander Bambi with her incredibly tough armor, skull crushing hammer and deadly flames, Bambi. Was lying, was lying...
The D-Ball slipped form Sabrina's left hand to fall unheeded to the ground. A low half sob half bestial snarl escaped her lips. Her right hand tightened on her electro whip, her eyes locked on to the object of her rage.
The thin blood soaked figure took a faltering step in the direction of the now silent half burned tiny figure.
Sabrina was in no condition to notice this. She closed in with hate driven rage and lashed out with her whip coiling it around the red stained figure's neck and yanked back brutally pulling the lighter girl to the ground. She then let the electricity flow at the electro whip's highest setting while adding her own natural power to it. The thin bloodstained girl started twitching but more violently than the electrocution alone could account for.
With a rush of wind Rachel had landed across from Sabrina and poured the full magazine of her automatic rifle into the now unresisting corpse. The rifle stayed aimed on the corpse with Rachel's finger tightly pressed on the trigger, even after the muzzle flashes stopped showing a empty magazine.
Sabrina kept the electricity flowing and the ravaged corpse twitching until both the electro whip's and her own power was gone. It wasn't enough, not nearly enough, not for the headless corpse of her dear sister. Sabrina uncoiled her whip from around the corpse's neck with a complex series of flicks from her wrist. Then raised it up and started lashing the bloody remains. Were ever there was even a bit of skin intact, she lashed it.
Death and loss are not strangers to D-Girls most of their lives are short, and filled with physical and emotional violence and cruelty. This gives them a mental toughness that only veteran soldiers or war survivors have. Sabrina's actions were unusual because this was a unusual situation. Neither Bambi, Rachel or Sabrina had thought for even a second that one of them would die on a easy job like this one was supposed to be. The idea of a mere second tier Claw Strikette managing to decapitate a powerful third tier Infernomander while facing two other second tier D-Girls was beyond absurd.

"Angel, Fire, Fox, please respond. Have you finished capturing the target?", her Master's voice stopped Sabrina in mid swing. His reasonable expectation further incited her rage. If Cid had been infront of her she probably would have used her whip on him, if she would have stopped was anyone's guess.
"Base, target was eliminated. Fire is dead, Fire is dead,.. Fire is dead.", Rachel answered though her third repetition was barely a whisper. Rachel had for once performed her duties as Alpha properly. Sabrina's anger instantly switched to Rachel.
'If this bitch had told us that something was wrong we might... Bambi might. I knew as soon as I saw the target that something was wrong.', this thought snapped Sabrina out of her rage. If Rachel was at fault then so was she. One look and she knew that the Claw Strikette wasn't behaving like she was in regression.
"I understand I'm on my way you girls just sit tight.", Cid said over the radio.
Just as Sabrina's rage drained away taking her strength with it a rhythmic scraping sound to her right caught her attention. Sabrina turned to her right and saw a heart breaking sight. A tiny child, from its size it couldn't be more than two years old, was crawling with one hand and on both knees through the bloody grass trying to reach the thing that couldn't even be called a corpse anymore. It's progress was slow as it tried to keep the burned right arm and side of it's body out of the grass. Sabrina couldn't understand how it had survived even the slight touch of the flames of an Infernomander.
Sabrina felt the blood drain from her face and her throat tighten like she was suffocating. Somehow she looked up and her gaze met with Rachel's. Rachel's condition was about the same as Sabrina's. Rachel for all her flaws was not a soul-less monster and neither was Sabrina.
The two D-Girls could only stand there silently and watch the child struggle to reach it's destination. Some would wonder why they didn't help and answer was they couldn't. The intensity of the scene was too much for their raw emotions to handle.
The child finally reached the ruin of what remained of it's mother. At first it just sat there, but slowly hesitatingly it reached out it's unburned left hand and nudged the bloody ruin. Sabrina finally saw that it was definitely a him, she had caught a glimpse of the tangible proof. When the nudging didn't elicit a response the child drew its gore covered hand back and looked with his one unburned eye straight at Sabrina. Not Rachel, not even Bambi's head, but straight at Sabrina, as if asking if she was going to kill him too.

A sob tried to break past Sabrina's throat but couldn't get out. That look from a one eyed child whose ravaged face looked monstrous paralyzed her. For the first time since she awakened as a Demi-Human two years ago, just before her high school graduation, she felt like a true inhuman monster. The sudden tumult of emotions from grief, rage, guilt and finally crushing shame caused her mind to shudder to a halt. If that boy had spoken and told her to cut her own throat she would have done it without hesitation.
Thankfully the mind can't maintain such powerful emotions for long and Sabrina slowly managed to reach an emotional equilibrium while under that eye. But the echo of those feelings would stay with her for the rest of her life.
Suddenly, with her emotions dying down, the smells that her distracted mind had filtered out came rushing in and she nearly gagged on the charnel reek that was more akin to a slaughter house then a battlefield. What almost made her throw up was the sweet savory pork like smell coming from the burned half of the boy.
Taking a deep breath and forcing down her vomit Sabrina said,"Rachel the boy is hurt could you heal him." It was stated like a question but was more an order. Rachel didn't argue, perhaps she was relieved for someone to tell her what to do.
Sabrina watched as Rachel approached the boy. She would have approached him as well but somehow she couldn't. He didn't even look at Rachel his gaze was still focused on Sabrina. She did her best to bear up under that gaze, after all very few are psychotic enough to be comfortable being looked at by a boy whose mother they had just brutally murdered then desecrated it in front of him.
Rachel knelt with her customary grace beside the boy paying no mind to gore that now stained her armor. She looked him over and saw that his ankle was twisted a paltry wound compared to horror of his burned side but she thought it was better to start small. Gathering her innate healing power as strongly as she could she placed her right hand on his right thigh and her left on his right shin. She left him tremble she tried to smile at him, to reassure him, but he only had eyes(eye) for Sabrina. For some reason that annoyed her. She grabbed his thigh and shin a little more forcefully than she intended and let loose her power. The reaction was immediate with a sound like gravel crunching his shin and thigh shattered into pieces and he began to scream even louder than when he was burned. Rachel panicked she didn't know what to do. The boy was screaming like she was torturing him right next to her ear. So she gathered more healing power and was about to use it on the boy. When a large masculine hand came down on the boy's neck knocking him out instantly.
"I don't think we should try magical healing on him again.", said Cid looking down at the boy.
"Rachel, help Super S with Bambi's body we aren't leaving her here. Super S you get what we came for.", Cid ordered his remaining harem.
"I can't..." Sabrina began to say.
"Shut up! If you can do that to the body you can cut the head off, so we can get paid.", Cid glared at Sabrina.
She swallowed back a sob and just said,"Yes, Master."
Cid yells ,"OK, let's get out of here and get the kid to a tamer center for treatment."
13 years later...
A short boy whose looks would be average if his deep black hair wasn't covering the right side of his face. Stands in front of the Ellington, Missouri Tamer Center.
"Well, time to get started..."
Author's Note: Well the intro is done. Fuckin' finally. First I'd like to thank the first person to favorite my ff that means alot I was prepared to only have like 10 views and nothing else. But to my great surprise I had (when I posted this) 1 favorite, 2 follows and over a 100 views. Now the views don't mean shit sorry 'guests'. The favorite and the 2 follows really mean alot to me. What can I say I'm a cheap date.
On a less serious note I'd like to thank my friends for helping finish this chapter and they are jim b. and jack d. (though this punk ran out on me half way through). They might have a slightly dark influence on my work so I might have to limit their contributions in the future.
