Chapter 02 – Investigating the System and My Surprising Discovery

I woke up hearing screams and shouts from everywhere. My body is still in pain, but compared to before, it’s like the difference between heaven and earth.

I stood up then walked to the edge of the rooftop and took a glimpse. What I saw was…

HELL!

A horde of dozens of disgusting creatures with grey, decayed flesh was chasing a group of students with a teacher leading them.

You would probably think that I would be going to help them with all my newfound strength, but you’re foolish if you’re thinking like that.

I am not some hero in some shining white armor that helps all people, no, I would probably be the one whom the hero tries to save people from, if he could beat me of course.

However, that wasn’t the only reason that I didn’t help them.

That group… was the one which always made fun of me and called me ‘Parent Killer’ and ‘Murderer’.

Even the teacher looked down on me and considered me less than human. When I saw them, all I could feel was coldness mixed with some anger in it.

Those creatures surrounded them and began to near them. I ignored the group and went back to discover more things about the System and my powers.

When I turned around, all I could hear were heart clenching screams that even made ME feel a tug at my heart, but I suppressed it quickly and focused.

First, if this is an RPG world, then there would probably be ‘Status’ I think. When I thought about that, a blue, almost transparent screen appeared in front of me.

What the fuck!? I don’t even know where to begin with.

First, my class; why does it have ‘1/2’ and a ‘Read Please’ sign, maybe I could buy another one? Let’s try doing that later.

Then, what are class abilities and why do I have so much of them?

It must because my Immortal Path cultivation allows me to have the skills of both the other Paths. I don’t know how they work, though.

Maybe there is an ability like ‘Analyze’ or ‘Appraisal’. I’ll try looking for it.

Then, let’s get to the points. I could be very overpowered with that many points.

My decision was right to have chosen that kind of cheat. Now, then let’s try to open that ‘Read Please’ sign.

When I clicked at it which may look like I was crazy from another person’s perspective, a blue window popped up that read:

Due to having the blessing of the True and Supreme God ‘Zeus’, you can buy two classes which is impossible to other people.

Well, that was a bit surprising. I didn’t expect that he would help me more than what he already did. I’m starting to think that maybe there’s another side to this deal.

Maybe I’m wrong, but if I am right, I need to find out about it soon.

After that, I opened the store and after some thinking I decided to buy the ‘Space Mage’ class. However, as I was about to buy it, a thought occurred to me.

Maybe…

If I was wrong, I would pretty much waste this chance, but I already have my favorite class and there won’t be a big loss.

So, trusting my hunch, I bought a normal ‘Mage’ class. I was very disappointed when nothing happened and no window popped up, but still having hope, I opened the ‘Abilities’ section in the ‘Shop’.

I was quite surprised with what I found there.

There was a long list of abilities and magic that I could buy. When I saw all that magic available for me, I almost shouted in excitement.

My speculation was true. I thought that if I bought the ‘Mage’ class, I would be able to use all kinds of magic, if I could afford it of course.

And I was right. Now, I could buy any type of magic that I want and that isn’t the best part.

I could buy all types of magic with all my points and then, I could use any of them when I want.

However, I won’t do that because my ‘Status’ will be stuffed with ‘Abilities’ and it would be a pain to browse through them every time I open it.

Since I already opened the ‘Shop’, I decided to look for some good abilities that I could buy and indeed, my search proved to be the right choice.

I found 3 skills that appealed to me.

First, ‘Teleportation’, but I refrained from buying it because I’m sure that I could use it when I buy Space Magic and Level it up.

Second, ‘Analyze’ which as the name means, the famous skill that all protagonists from LN and WN have from the start.

Finally, ‘Transformation’ which lets me transform the material of an object to another one as long as I knew its properties.

This may come useful in ‘Alchemy’ and especially ‘Forging’ since if I knew the properties of ‘Diamond’ for example, I could change some cheap wood or even some silk to that material. It is a very OP ability, but its price isn’t half-assed either, it costs 200,000 points.

What I bought was:

It costed me [1,215,000 Points]

After I ended my shopping, I breathed out a sigh of exasperation. It seems that my sense of money has distorted completely.

Since god only gave people 500 Points each, I think they are quite valuable. However, even when I saw that the Divine Rank Cultivation technique costed 1,000,000 Points, I didn’t feel shocked.

Why should I? I had more than 12 times that amount of points.

Well, if someone heard me saying this, I’m sure that their jaws will touch the floor because of my ridiculous thinking.
