《World Game》Another horde

The following three days were used to move all of the necessities and people from the villages to the new city.
Meanwhile the stone cutters repaired the walls. After three days only one big hole remained in the stone wall.
Sam spoke with Nissa and Jack at some point and told them to train a group of younger people into archers. Nissa took them out, to hunt weak monsters or animals. Jack took care of the target practices.
On the fourth day, after they conquered the castle, Sam stood on the walls, watching the north side waiting for the last batch of people from Woodchester.
After some time he could see a group of people walking down the hill in a hurry. They were chased by a big group of zombies numbering at least 200.
Sam ran down the stairs and arrived in front of the gate. He ordered Nissa to pick up the archers and take position on the walls.
He instructed four burly men to wait for the group to pass the gates before immediately closing it.
Sam himself went to the remaining part of the wall that was still damaged. Linda, as well as Nina and Anna, the twins were there too.
Sam arrived and shouted " Stonecutters and helpers, get away from the wall, an attack is coming. I will take position right in the breach, this way the zombies won't be able to get past me. Nina and Anna, you both will stand left and right beside me to help out, while Linda will be the backup. We have to kill these zombies before we can finish repairing the wall!"
He saw the last batch passing the gates and arriving inside the city.
The archers started shooting when the horde got near the gate. Most of the arrows hit, unfortunately only a few of these were head shots.

The zombies crashed in the gate but weren't able to breach through, so they started to slowly surround the city.
When the first zombie approached Sam he focused on it.
(Decaying Zombie Level 5)
This whole group of zombies was decaying, making them look and smell horrible. The females besides Sam took deep breaths with horrified and disgusted faces.
The zombie saw Sam and immediately started to attack him.
" We have to kill them quickly, they are walking along the wall in a linear formation. This is a huge advantage for us, because this way we can deal with one zombie at a time. If it takes us too long another one will arrive and further delay us."
The zombie rammed into Sam who got pushed back. After he added some more step backwards the twins arrived on the left and right of the zombie. They stabbed forward and impaled its head at the same time.
Sam asked two men to carry the corpse away, so it wouldn't distract them while fighting.
They killed another five zombies in the same way until one of the assassins daggers broke.
"Nina, go to the blacksmith, tell him what is happening and that you need two daggers, one for you and one for your sister." Sam told Nina.
She left and Sam resumed fighting.
After he killed the 12th zombie he leveled up to Level 6.
Three zombies appeared together at one moment but Linda killed them with her lightning spell.
Nina returned afterwards, pulling a big tower shield behind her.
" The blacksmith told me to give this to you. He said this might help you."
Sam took the shield and held it in his left hand. With about 1,6 meters this shield could completely protect Sam if he ducked a bit. Wielding his spiked shield in the right hand he repositioned himself one meter behind the broken wall.

When the next zombie came Sam pushed it with the tower shield, quickly stabbing its head with the spiked shield afterwards.
' This makes fighting so much easier. Oh I see two of them coming. Let me see if I can defend against both at the same time.' Sam thought and hid behind the shield.
The two zombies pushed against him, but his defense stats and new shield stopped him from retreating more than two steps.
Sam realized that he could defend against them but at the same time was unable to kill one of them before the other could attack him.
The two assassins appeared and took out one zombie each.
This whole process continued until Sam scouted a different enemy.
( Decaying Monstrosity Level 5 Boss)
"Nina, Anna, I will lure this one in, then you kill it together. It's a boss monster, so be careful. Meanwhile I will defend the breach alone.
The enemy who stepped inside the city was a massive, moving mass of rotting flesh. It was at least 3,5 meters tall and looked like a gigantic fat blob.
It moved slowly after the retreating Sam.
When they had entered for around five meters the twins appeared and started to attack the blobs massive legs with their new daggers.
Sam took care of the incoming zombies, while Linda got sure that the twins weren't injured during the fight.
Sam looked back after some time only to see the ground littered with blood and chunks of flesh. The zombies legs had been cut off piece by piece until it had to kneel down. The sisters were approaching the zombie from two different sides at this moment.
They stabbed forward and impaled the zombies massive head from two different sides. Both of them hit at the exact same moment.
" I leveled up!!" x2
Both of them got a Level up, by killing the zombie at the same time.
They ran to Linda embracing her with big smiles. They talked a bit and returned to Sams sides.
" Congrats you two! So what classes did you get?" Sam asked while defending against a zombie with ease.
"We are " twin assassins", meaning that we can switch positions with each other inside a certain distance. We can change once every hour right now but it will be shorter when leveled up!"

Over the course of several weeks Marith learns that, together with her Chain, she is expected to save this fabric of reality, by fighting a mysterious and immortal creature and his aggressive pet.
